Description

The BNC10XL features the USSSA 1.15 stamp and is legal for use in Replacing it's predecessor the Stealth, Easton introduces a brand new two-piece bat called the Omen that will surely make its presence felt in all levels of baseball this season. Made from Easton's patented IMX Composite, this bat will allow players to hit farther than they ever thought possible! The IMX or Integrated Matrix Technology strengthens and optimizes the composite structure, giving you a bat with extraordinary performance and extreme durability. This durability is even further enhanced by Easton's CNT or Carbon NanoTube Technology. The CNT enhances the proprietary resin system in their composite bats, creating the longest lasting bats in the industry. The Omen also features Easton's patented ConneXion Design System which optimizes performance using "hinge" technology for efficient energy transfer and flex. The ConneXion design seperates the barrel from the handle which creates an expanded hitting surface and completely eliminates any chance of sting or vibration. And with a lower M.O.I., the player will notice a lighter swing weight and faster swing speed. Combine all of this with Easton's XXL Barrel that creates a MASSIVE sweetspot, and you've got a bat that is built for performance. Put this new Easton bat in your hands and receive your Omen for a successful season! Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference. This bat comes backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Pros: Just received a 27/17 for my boys 8 and 6. The 6 year old swings it with authority as he is more of a power hitter. They love the grip. Overall great bat so far. There is good pop off the bat and the 2 5/8 barrel provides a great sweet spot.

Cons: none so far

Pros: Excellent bat. Bought a 28 for my 9 yr old, we liked it so much that I got a 27 for my 7 yr old. They both love the bat. Huge sweet spot, best pop I have ever seen. Even mis-hit balls have teeth and are difficult to handle. The barrel is legal everywere. Both of my kids play on Select teams and almost all the boys on both teams have this bat.

Cons: No problem with the bats what so ever. Perhaps a little heavy for my 7 yr old (big jump from the 11.5 drop Coach pitch bats) but if they are playing with a regulation ball there is no better bat in the market. The CF4 is the only lighter bat (not labled for coach pitch) but you can't use it everywere and it's cracking within the first month at a rate of 45% (see reviews.)

Pros: Great bat....just had our first game this weekend (8U travel). My son consistently drove the ball to center/left field with pop. We went with the 27" 17oz and he controls it well and was able to pull the ball. I was a bit worried that the weight would be a bit too much and he'd be behind on everything; so far, so good. He really likes it and has confidence at the plate.

Cons: None so far.

Cons: although it is loud, the sound sounds like a 20$ one lmao

Pros: This bat costs alot, we have 12 players on our team using 2 of these bats they carry alot of the weight at the end of the bat causing it to be very heavy for most hitters. So dont think you will be hitting a homer on day one not going to happen. This is a very good bat just break it in first dont go to game day and plan on winning just cause you blasted 300 bucks.

Cons: youth players must practice alot with this bat. If your player uses a 29in bat drop it to 28 or less or train them with weight to adjust for the use of this bat. This bat has great pop and a big sweet spot to make you happy but break it in before game day and train on it.

Pros: I almost reviewed this bat too soon. Hit a few off the tee and soft tosses before his first 9u tourny this past weekend. Wasn't impressed. It wasn't "hot out of the wrapper". Boy is it hot now! Couple of practices, all the kids using it in the cages it has come alive. Ball rockets off this barrell, sweet sound too. Can't wait for next tourney. My kid is 7 plays 9u. Got 28/18. He swings it great.

Cons: Everybody wants to use it! Boys are going crazy over this bat now that it is "hot". Expensive but worth it. Based on reviews this is the big barrell I wanted when my son started playing travel ball this year. Went with the Stealth Coach Pitch because of weight and price. Took a chance it would last. It only made it 2 tourneys before cracking. Spring for the Omen. Break it in 1st and WOW!

Pros: Son loves the bat. He's 12 and using if for travel ball. Its a bit big for him but he thinks its magicial and is going to use it no matter how hard he has to work to build the muscle to truly use it to it's potential. Just about everyone on the team uses it and the bigger kids are hitting bombs

Cons: None yet. The USSSA stamp for 2012 seems a little faint so I hope it doesnt become a problem after months of wear and tear

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton Omen Senior League Baseball Bat: BNC10XL? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

is th sbat apporved by usssa baseball Jody
The Easton Omen is approved for play in USSSA baseball.
Sean
Yes, this bat is approved for play this year.
Bodie
Does this bat have the 1.15 BFP "approved" or "certified" sticker on it........this is required for our league this year c
This bat does not have the 1.15 BPF approval stamp. This is really only a test regulating small-barrel bats in baseball. The only big-barrel or senior league bats with tbe 1.15 BPF stamp will be the DeMarini DXCFY and Eaxton BV22 (this is as of 2/18/11)
Mark
Is this bat legal in the AABC league 12u division? Team Mom
No. According to the AABC rulebook, they are following the same guidelines as Little League and this bat has not been approved.
John
Is this bat approved for use in AAU? cmo
If your league allows 2 5/8 inch barrels and composite bats, then you will be able to use this bat in your league.
Brett
Our aabc 12u league is allowed to use 2 5/8 composite bats as long as the bat is legal with the aabc. Is the Easton Omen ok to use? I get some yes and some no. coach
AABC is following Little League rules and as of 5/16/2011, this bat has not been approved. The 2 1/4 inch version of the Omen has been approved, but not the 2 5/8 inch.
Brett
Is the Omen approved in Babe Ruth League play? shamrock7
As of 5/19/2011, this bat is not approved for play in the Babe Ruth League.
JH
Is this bat approved for PONY league and is this too much bat for a 7.5 yr old?? Bones
PONY baseball hasn't enforced any bans on composite bats and the Omen should be good to go. I wouldn't recommend anything over a 27 or 28 inch for a 7 or 8 year old.
Brett
Is this bat approved for bronco league/senior league? Therocketball
The Bronco Division is in the Pony Baseball Organization. As of now, Pony Baseball hasn't implemented any bat bans and this bat is still legal.
JH
is the omen series the best bat on the easton market? fire
Yes, the Easton Omen is going to be the top of the line bat that Easton has out. This bat replaced the last years Stealth Speed. This is going to be one of the hottest bats on the market this year.
Brett
I am 12 and I play in Bronco league in spring ball and in fall ball I play majors which if any is it legal to use this bat because it looks great and is this bat better than the easton rival 2 3/4 because people have gaven me mixed answers for both of these questions and tectnically I play in little league if that would help. chase
As of 7/5/2011, the Easton Omen BNC10XL Senior League bat had not been approved for play in Little League.
JH
Does the -10 Omen with the 1.15 stamp have less pop than the same model Omen without the stamp? Is the bat made differently? The Future
There is not going to be any difference in the two bats. The only difference is that one is going to have the stamps on the barrel and the other one will not.
Brett
How should I break in this bat? How long does it take to break in? How long do you think this bat will last? The Legend
Take about 150 hits of a tee, starting at 40% power and gradually moving up to 100% power. Be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch between each hit to ensure and even break-in. After that it will be good to use against live pitching. If you put it through a good break-in period, limit the number of teammates who use it and limit the its use in batting cages, it should last about 2 seasons (but that depends on how many games you play).
JH
Does the Omen -10 have more pop than the 2010 Stealth Speed -10? Did the 2010 Speed have the 1.15 rating, even though it was not stamped? DJ3K
I don't think too many bats can rival the old Stealth Speed in terms of pop and performance. The Omen is a high performing bat, but it will be a notch below the Stealth Speed. I think the old Speed was too hot for the BPF 1.15 rating.
JH
Will this bat be legal for 2012 If I buy it right now with the usssa stamp and bfp 1.15? Slugger
Yes. This bat is legal for USSSA and it has the USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp on the barrel.
Brett
Do these have the 1.15 BFP stamp on it right now? mud
Yes. All the BNC10XL bats we have in stock have the USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp.
Brett
does it have a BBCOR rating? All it says on the bat is USSSA 1.15 BPF Danno
No, only -3 adult bats will be bbcor certified.
Mark
My Son is going to play 13U sandy koufax washington, is this bat legal to use? Easton Omen: BNC10XL 32/22. Patel
For 13U Sandy Koufax league, this bat will be legal. Their rule states that the bat cannot be larger than 2 3/4 and there is no restriction in regard to the length and weight ratio. This bat meets all their guidelines.
Brett
i have a 8yr old who plays on a 10u travel team.Would the Omen be a good bat for him. he needs more bat speed. he has a 28/20 now. what size would be right for him he is 49" & 49 lbs thank you for your time Bayhawg1
The Omen is going to be one of the best bats on the market right now. The CF5 and Omen are the best bats on the market right now. This is going to be a great link that we have that helps pick out the perfect size and bat; http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Todd
yes this would be a great bat for him i play travel ball myself and have this bat and i thinks its an amazing bat and he should still stay at 20 ounces but if you want you should maybe go up one inch or stay there at 28 inches
baseball bomber
Is this bat made as a 28/18...and you don't currently have them in stock? OCAngel
Yes, this bat is made in a 28/18. What we show on our website is what we have in stock. We should be getting more of these in stock in the next couple of weeks. As soon as we get these bats, they will be up on our website for you to purchase.
Todd
I bought this bat from "Just Bats" earlier in the Summer. It does not have the USSSA 1.15BPF stamp on it. Am I out of luck for 2012 or will my son still be able to use it for USSSA? Dean
If you give us a call at 1-866-321-2287 we will be able to come up with a way to make this situation right.
Todd
Is this bat end weighted or even weighted? Trying to compare to the worth prodigy momof4
This bat has a balanced weight. This is not an endloaded bat.
Kris
How does the Omen BNC10XL compare to the Easton Rival XXL BG11XL? Glperez
The Omen is a two-piece composite bat. The Rival is a one-piece alloy bat. Two-piece bats like the Omen are often preferred by contact or gap hitters. One-piece bats like the Rival are often preferred by power hitters. The Omen will probably have a little more pop than the Rival, but both are excellent bats.
Ryan
I am playing 13's in delta,co can i use this bat in the 2012 season. rat
Under Delta's most recent rulebook put on in March 2010, this bat is legal.
Jeff
Do you make a 26"x 16oz. 2 5/8" barrel in this bat? Bubba
The smallest size Easton makes in this model is a 27".
John
Omen, CF5. Omen, CF5. Same cost, size, Big Barrel and reviews. Does it come down to the look? Rick
This is more of a personal preference. Both bats are 100% composite and be one of the best Senior League bats.
Kris
i got this bat last year can i use it in aau for 2012 omen
I would double check with your individual league to be safe. That is an older model, so to be safe, contact the league and see what they say.
gamer
WOULD YOU BUY THE OMEN NOW OR WAIT FOR THE POWER BRIGADE SENIOR BATS TO COME OUT? SPEED
We expect the BNC10Xl to be going on sale the first week of October. Please contact our office at that time for exact pricing.
K.B.
Can this bat be used in dixie youth league in 2011 and 2012 co
To my knowledge Dixie youth league doesn't allow big barrel bats. Each league is differnt, so I would check with your local league offical for specific rules.
Kara
I bought this bat in August and it does not have the new stamp. What am I to do? Am i stuck with a bat that my son can't use next year?? I hope not. Chaddyg
In August, all of the Omen's should've had the USSSA stamp on them. I would contact Easton at 1-888-259-1297.
K.B.
If I buy this bat now will it come with Big 1.15 stamp to be legal for 2012? Or should I wait for new Easton bats Due Nov, that are the replacement for the Omen? Thanks VJ
The BNC10XL does have the USSSA 1.15 stamp on it and will be legal for 2012. The new line will also have the stamp.
Kara
Will the omen with the usssa stamp have more pop than the new Easton bats ready to hit the shelves. Dan
Easton does have several new ones that hit our website, all offer something different, and all have the 1.15 bpf stamp.
lkh
Do they make a 28" 18 oz. in this bat? Lucky
Easton does make a 28" 18 oz. in the Omen. We are currently out of stock. The S1 will be replacing the Easton Omen and will be available in all sizes.
K.B.
I read that u were out of stock of the 28' 18oz big barrel and it will be replaced by the S1. What is the S1? Will it compare to the original? G'nette
The S1 is replacing the omen. They are both two piece composite bats. The S1 will be a little bit lighter than the Omen.
Kara
does this have the bbcor sighn on it because im 10 turning 11 and my coach never told us whats aprooved but the league says any big barrel do i take tyhe risk and buy the omen -10 bc
No, it does not, this bat is intended for youth leagues that allow big barrel bats. Adult bats for High School and College level are required to have the BBCOR certification.
lkh
I purchased an Easton Omen BNC12XL in late July for my son to use next year as a 12U player. It does not have the USSSA fingerprint on it. Will it be legal for use in USSSA in 2012 Jim
It will not be legal without the USSSA stamp. You can contact Easton at 1-888-259-1297 to get the stamp.
Tony
Is this bat approved for school ball need a new bat broke mine in a game last year. d
It will depend on what grade you are in. It isn't approved for high school play because it has to be BBCOR certified. It would be legal for Junior High School if your school allows composite big barrel bats.
Kara
I have heard rumors that composite bats will not be allowed during the 2012 Pony season. Do you know anything about this? Luke
We have not heard anything on that, from our knowledge they will require the USSSA stamp for next year.
John
I have narrowed my choices down to this Easton Omen 29/19 or a Combat B3 29/19. Can you help me in making the decision in picking a bat for a 10-yr old high-level USSSA travel baseball player? MO-Ball
The Easton Omen is an excellent choice. It has great pop once you break it in. It uses some of the best composite materials out there right now.
K.B.
is this multi or singular wall? hmm?
It is double wall bat.
Kara
Is this bat approved for the 2012 USSSA season? Keith
Yes, it does have the 1.15 BPF stamp required for 2012 USSSA play.
Linda
is this bat dixie aproved samson
Because individual leagues sometimes add their own amendments and restrictions, I would check with your league director to see what is allowed. This bat should meet any standards though.
Lkh
i looked at a band new easton omen at a easton store and they said that it does not have a stamp and will not have a stamp is this a scam the freak((tim lincecum)
I'm not sure what store you went in to, but they may of had the BNC10XL that was produced before it had the USSSA stamp. All the BNC10XL bats we have in stock have the new USSSA stamp.
John
Where does it say this bat is "double barrel"? I've checked various sources, including Easton's website and I can't find that anywhere. I only find that it has "ConneXion Two-Piece Technology", which it not referring to double barrel. Thanks. holman3rd
Double wall refers to a bat that has a multiple wall technology that opitmizes durability and pop.
Linda
Is this bat a 1.15 bpf? Our youth travel team has to have a 1.15 bpf or bbcor Sue
This has the 1.15 BPF stamp. Only Adult bats will have a BBCOR stamp.
K.B.
Will the Omen Big barrel Senior -10 with new thumb print stamp be legal for Spring 2012? Tim M.
As of this moment, we've not heard of any new changes that will affect spring 2012 play. This bat will be legal.
lkh
what do you mean by the 29/32 inch ultra thin tapered handle, and will it be legal for AAU? Andrew
It is the handle measurement. As to it being legal for AAU, this was taken directly from the AAU website "BAT SIZE: The 8u through 14u age groups shall not be limited by the High School Baseball Rules published by the National Federation of State High Schools (NFHS) regarding bat specifications. However, the AAU reserves the right to ban any bat at its sole discretion and without prior notice."
LKH
Does easton make this bat in a 28/18 with a 2 5/8 barrel? If yes, do you have any I can order. I just bought a 29/19 from you but would also like a 28/28 2 5/8 barrel if it exists. Matthew
The omen does not come in a 28" 18 oz 2 5/8" barrel bat.
Sean
what size barrel is it? SKATEORDIE
the barrel is a 2 5/8" size
Sean
Bat features ultra thin handle, how much thinner is this handlle than the DiMarini CF5? We are comparing both bats, which they both seem like great bats, both have very strong reviews. Kritz
The handles will be very simialr. Both bats are very high preforming and have TONS of POP. I have heard that the CF5 is a little end-loaded compared to the Omen.
KG
Is this bat stamped with the BPF 1.15? A review states it is not, but that was almost 10 months ago the comment was answered. Please let me know. Thanks! Tim
Yes, this bat does have the USSSA 1.15BPF stamp on it.
Linda
My son was using the combat b1 youth bat in a 31/19. Im wanting him to jump up to the senior league omen bat would you recommend the 30/20 or the 31/21. he was always chocked up on the b1 about an inch baseball dad
I would say the 30-20 should work well. Going to the 31-21 might be too much weight added at once.
Linda
is this bat approved for travel ball 11u the man
This bat should meet all league requirements.
Linda
The Omen Bat i have has no USSA Stamp. Will Omen Bats that were made prior, be allowed have stamp put on them? (Same bat as Stamp bat from all the questions listed) mundo
Yes, all you would have to do is contact Easton at 888-259-1297 and they will be able to put the stamp on the bat for you
John
Does this now have the stamp on the barrel for USSSA? ktcommanche
This bat does feature the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamping on the transition zone.
Derek
My son plays in the MABA league in Maryland. Do you know if this bat is legal in our league? Rich
Is he 14 and older? If so, no this bat will not be legal. In MABA play 14 and older must use a BBCOR bat, which is an adult -3 bat.
Linda
2 Questions: 1. I was of the understanding that composite barrels would no longer be allowed in USSSA for 2012..How is the Omen able to get the approval stamp? 2. How does the surge(30/20) compare to the Omen? scott
Starting Jan 1, 2012 big barrel bats for 14U & below playing USSSA rules must have the USSSA stamp, or be BBCOR or be a wood bat. Any player playing 15U and above will need a BBCOR bat or wood. The Omen will be a better bat and have more pop since it is a composite bat.
KG
What other Composite bats(aside from the Omen) are currently approved for USSSA 14 & under fro 2012? scott
You can find all the USSSA approved bats on our website. Select Youth Big Barrel bats, scroll down to approved by USSSA. Select composite material. This will list all the composite USSSA approved bats.
Kara
does it have a bbcor certified stamp and can u use it in babe ruth Bob
This bat is not BBCOR certified. ONLY adult -3 bats are BBCOR. The way it was explained to us is, in 14&u and 15 and over, IF the bat has the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp it will be legal. If it does not have the USSSA stamp then it is required to have the BBCOR stamp.
Linda
will the 2 5/8 omen and surge be legal for 2012 since they do not have the 1.15 bfp stamp on them? Woody
Both of those bats have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp required for 2012.
Linda
Can you use a composit bat in 40 degree weather? Mike
I don't recommend to use any composite bats in 40 degree weather.
K.B.
Does this bat comes with the USSSA 1.15 BPF sticker on it like shown in the picture? tailgaters
Yes, though it does have the older version of the sticker, it will be accepted.
Linda
How does this bat compare to the Easton S1 senior league bat? Evizzy24
They are very similar in that they are both 2 piece all composite bats.
Linda
Is this bat better for a contact hitter than the Easton S1 senior league bat? Evizzy24
Either one would work well for a contact hitter. Both are 2 piece bats.
Linda
is this the BBCOR Tammy
No. Only Adult bats are BBCOR certified.
Kara
are both these bats USSAA certified, BBCOR and 2 5/8 diameter? Tammy
The BNC10Xl is USSSA certified. Only Adult bats will be BBCOR certified.
Kara
What's the difference between the 10XL and the 11XL? And what's a better bat, the Omen or the Easton S1? Thanks. Wheels
First question, the difference is the drop weight, the BG10XL is a -10, the BG11XL is a -9. That is the only difference. Second question, in that pair up, I'd go with the S1.
Linda
How does this bat compare to the new s3 and the combat b3. I'm looking for a quality composite bat any suggestions? Scot
What type of batter is your son? If he is a contact hitter, I'd go with the Omen, if he is a power hitter, I'd go with the COMBAT.
Linda
can you use this in pony leauge baseball45
Yes, it can be used in Pony League.
Linda
Does easton offer another bat of similiar stature in a 28/18? The barrel size/length is what i am looking for? deek
The S1 replaced the Omen and comes in a 28/18.
Kara
What's the difference between the BNC and the LNC Model? Wheels
BNC models are going to be the senior league models while the LNC models are going to be the youth (2 1/4") barrels.
John
This is a big barrel bat, the LNC models will be small barrel bats.
KG
Does USAAA mean that the bat is BBCOR approved? Is the Omen approved for all sizes, specifically the 32/22 -10? ken
14&over the bat has to be USSSA stamped OR be BBCOR certified. This one is USSSA stamped.
Linda
if I buy a BBcore -3 adult for my son who will play 13u this spring will it be allowed in USSSA? DAD
Yes, a BBCOR bat is legal for USSSA play
Sean
Does the carbon barrel break in like previous models and hit better after use? Jim
Yes. Once the bat is broken in it will continue to hit better the more it is used.
Kara
My son has been using an Easton Stealth Speed II BSS13XL and really likes it. Will the Omen a similar feel and have as good a pop? I need a replacement with the USSSA Stamp. LKND
The Omen will have a similar feel as will the Easton S1.
Linda
what's the difference between all the omens? homerun3000000
The BNC10XL is a big barrel -10, the BNC12XL is the -5.
Linda
This is a general question for the omen and cf5 senior league bats. My son is 12 and hits @250 balls a night in cage. We just sold his 31" Speed easton and he has been using a 33" -3 voodoo from the high school team, and using it really well. Should I let him step up that much or stay with a 32" senior league bat Jed
The answer to this hinges on what his league allows. If his league allows him to use the -3 it has to be BBCOR certified or wood. Also, if he is swinging a -3 and handling it well, and his league allows, I would keep him with that. In the long run it keeps him ahead of the game.
Linda
Does this bat have the BPF 1.15 Stamp? The above descriptions say it does but the q/a section says it doesnt. My son plays 9u USSSA travel ball. Will this bat be legal for 2012 play? VanillaG
Yes, the model we have in stock right now is going to have the USSSA stamp on it.
John
is this bat legal for pony league? SJ
This bat should be legal. I would double check with a coach or league offical before buying just to make sure.
KG
Is the omen -10 bat better or worse than the DeMarini cf4 MasN
They are very similar bats, and both of them are 100% composite. These bats have very good pop and will get better the more you use it.
KG
I am 11 can I still us it even though it is a senior league bat chris
You can use this, however you may want to check with your coach or league offical just to make sure.
KG
Can I use this bat in Little League (7th grade)? Matthew
If you are in the age division that allows big barrel bats. Yes, this bat is legal.
Linda
In a previous post from 11/12/11, you stated that we can obtain the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp if our bat does not have it (purchased March 2011). I spoke to someone in warranties and they stated that we cannot obtain the stamp on a bat that has already been used. Can you confirm this? JDL
We were originally told that we would be able to get the stamp, but were most recently told no, that we would not be able to get the stickers. But, when the first batches of this bat came out, it has the old USSSA 1.15 BPF marking on it. If the bat you have says that on it, we were told that marking is being grandfathered in, and is legal.
Linda
Is this bat BBCOR? 123456789(:
No, the BNC10XL is not BBCOR Certified. One of the requirements for a BBCOR Certification is the bat has to be a -3 which means it is an adult bat.
Michael Alexander
If the 2011 Omen does not have the USSSA1.15 stamp can you get it stamped or documentation proof of compliance? Coach
It had the older stamp on it, and is being grandfathered in. The governing bodies are not allowing the bats to be stamped "after the fact".
Linda
is this legal for high school leagues joe
No. This is a -10. High school players can only use -3.
KG
Can my son use thas bat in little leag? JC123
This bat is not approved for little league.
Shelbe
what about cold weather use thanks pete
Easton recommends that their bats not be used when it is below 60 or 55 degrees outside.
TJ
My son is 9 yrs. old at 4ft. 7in. 86lbs playing usssa ball. What would suggest for him to swing Easton Omen XL or Easton S2? Both are 29/19. He is a power hitter playing 9u ball for 2012. Thanks! Coach Rock
I would suggest the Omen. The Omen is more designed for power hitters and it will give the player more pop. The S2 has an alloy barrel which won't give you as much pop as a composite barrel bat will.
KG
is it legal for jbo seniors league swartzanator
This bat does feature the USSSA stamp. We suggest checking with your league offical or coach to make sure the bat will be legal.
KG
is there a 28-18 available? Scott
Unfortunately, the 28" 18oz model is out of stock. Check out Easton's SL11S110. It was the bat made to replace the Omen.
TJ
Your description of the bat says it has the 1.15 stamp? Mags
That is correct. It has the new USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp.
TJ
dont know wheather to get s1, cf5, omen, or combat b3? snake
All are great bats. The S1 will have the lowest MOI out of the 4 and was made to replace the Omen. A lower MOI equals lighter swing weight and faster swing speeds. The CF5 and Omen will be pretty evenly balanced. The S1, CF5 and Omen are all two piece bats great for contact or gap hitters and there isn't going to be a ton of difference in terms of performance. The B3 is a one piece bat that will feel a little more end-loaded and is great for stronger hitters.
TJ
Is it ok to hit balls that are not real baseballs like in a batting cage? Mike
The dimpled balls used in batting cages should not be used with composite bats. They can damage the composite material.
Kara
Is the Easton omen XL bbcor. If not how do I return it as our league mandates bbcor or usssa approved. Mike
Only Adult bats with a -3 drop are BBCOR certified. However, this bat is USSSA approved and legal for play in 2012.
Kara
How come I can't find a 2012 Easton Omen 30in/20oz bat? I would love to purchase one if I could find it. Larry
We list the only sizes we have available in stock.
John
Are both bats approved for Usssa Baseball? Or just the Easton Omen? Jay
The Omen is approved for USSSA play, I'm not sure which other bat you are wondering about.
JT
Is this bat approved for play this year 2012? with the stamp it needs. Thank You! 10
Yes. This bats does have the USSSA stamp.
KG
can u play with it in middle school baseball cody
You may want to check with your coach or league offical. This bat is NOT BBCOR and will only have the USSSA stamp.
KG
I was told that the 2012 BCN10XL is the same bat that that Easton put out in 2011, and that when they introduced the new USSSA regulations, Easton took their overstock of old bats and inserted a governor into them to get them to comply with the new regulations. Could you please tell me about this and what your thoughts are. BMann
We have not heard that happening and would of been told if that's the case. I suggest contacting Easton to clarify this @ 888-259-1297.
KG
Will this bat brake in 40 degree weather? Bman
It will not break in 40 degree weather but it will reduce the lifespan of the bat
Sean
I cant seem to find a 28/18 anywhere. Will there be one available soon? Gavin
No. The Omen is discontinued and we will not be getting anymore in stock. The replacement for the Omen is the Easton S1: SL11S110 Senior League which is available in a 28/18.
Kara
does this bat have a model w a 2 3/4 barrel oldbirdfan
No, the omen is not made in a 2 3/4" barrel
Sean
Is this bat approved for 2012 Pony League and does it have the approved stamp Kelly
This bat is not approved for little league but it does have the USSSA certification.
Shelbe
do they make barrel size 2 5/8 in and do you hhave one ? jj
The BNC10XL is a 2 5/8 barrel bat. We currently have the 29', 31" and the 32" bats in stock.
Derek
Is this bat have the stamp "Approved for Dixie Youth Baseball" on it? Big Will
This bat has the USSSA 1.15 B.P.F marking on it.
Ryan
does this bat have the finger print that says usssa 1.15 on the taper of the bat that is required for 2012 play? allen
Yes, this bat has the USSSA logo.
KG
Looking at the Omen, S1, and the Demarini CF5 & Voodoo what are your thoughts on picking between these, have used both of the Demarinis. Parker
The S1 is the replacement to the Omen for this year. Either one of those bats are going to be a great choice
Ryan
I read in an earlier post that the Omen BCN10xl without the usssa stamp is being grandfathered in for play in 2012, but I can not find any reference on any of the usssa websites. Is this indeed true and where do I find that info? thanks Dr.B
That is not the case. For 2012 the bat will need the new USSSA 1.15 stamp.
KG
does this bat come in 30" 20oz.? rj
This bat does, unfortunately we are currently out of stock on this size and do not plan on getting anymore.
Jennifer
Can i get the bat in a 31" w/ a drop 8 ? Big easy
The BNC11XL is the model you would want to look at then.
John
I bought my son an Easton Speed last summer, I read somewhere that some bats with with the 1.15 mark would be legal...do you think the speed will be legal for 2012? Tim
Yes the Easton Omen will be legal for play in 2012 because of the USSA 1.15 BPF stamp.
Brad
Do you expect to have the Omen in a 30/20? Mike
Unfortunately we are not expecting to receive anymore of these bats in this size. If you are looking for a similar bat, I would suggest you check out the Easton S1, which can be found here: http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-s1--sl11s110-senior-league/14521/. This is a very good bat and is the model Easton came out with to replace the Omen.
Jennifer
I am looking for an Easton Omen for my son whom is 12. It has to have the 1.15 stamp AND "approved for Dixie baseball" stamp. Can you help? Biffdog
You find a list of approved bats for Dixie League at http://youth.dixie.org/Main_Navigation/Rules/rules_and_regulations.htm
Kara
I have a Omen Big Barrel and I want a new bat. I've had the Omen for 5 months. How long does the Omen last? Makennah lovet
Life span of any bat is all relevant to how they are taken care of . Most bats will be good for us for 1-2 seasons of play if they are cared for properly.
Shelbe
Is this bat approved for Dixie Youth, Ozone? luther
There is a list on the Dixie Youth website with a list of approved bat: http://youth.dixie.org/Main_Navigation/Rules/rules_and_regulations.htm
Kara
Is this considered more of a "senior" league bat? My 10 yr old swings a -10 2 1/4" well in Little League. Would this bat work for him in Select ball or should I consider a 2 3/4" model? Is the 1/8" difference a reasonable concern? JR
Senior League just means big barrel bat. This bat has the USSSA stamp that most leagues require and will be a good bat for your 10 year old. The 1/8" is not something that should be a concern. This bat has a 2 5/8" barrel and does have good pop.
Kris
Is this bat approved for Pony League lil wiggie
Yes, the BNC10Xl is approved for Pony League play. Any non-wood with a barrel of 2 5/8 can be used for play in Pony League.
Shelbe
My sons Omen does not appear to have the USSSA symbol, bought in Dec of 2011. Would it still be legal for 2012? Klem44
This bat will need to have the USSSA stamp to be legal in most leagues for 2012. If you purchased this bat with us please contact us @ 866-321-2287 for further information.
Kris
We were told that this bat was not legal since the stamp was engraved and not marked like other legal bats. Confused Coach
The Easton Omen are legal because the stamp was engraved by Easton themselves. If there are any further problems please send them to our customer service department.
Brad
Is this a 2012 model or a 2011 model? Jason
The Omen is a 2011 model.
Kara
Did the Omen BNC10XL become replaced by the S1 senior league or the XL1 senior league bat? Mark
The Easton Omen has been replaced with the Easton S1 model. This bat is very similar to the Omen, but is more durable. The Easton XL1 is similar, but it is more of an end loaded bat.
Jennifer
What is the difference ( pros, cons) between this and the S1, which has a longer barrel? Rocket
The S1 and Omen are essentially the same with a few exceptions. The Omen will have a slightly longer barrel. The S1 has a lighter swing weight. Other than that...same type of composite, construction, etc.
Tyler
IS the omen big barrel -10 half and half composite? Tums
The Omen is a two-piece, full composite bat.
Tyler
Is this bat USSSA approved? Clippers#4
This bat is in fact USSSA approved. If you look at the section of smaller pictures at the top of this webpage, you will be able to see the new USSSA stamp on this bat.
Jennifer
Do they make it in 28-18 oz? Found older ones without stamp. Are they planning on making that size with stamp? Mike
This bat has been discontinued and they will not be making any more 28" 18 oz bats in this model. This bat has been replaced with the Easton S1, so if you are looking for something similar I would suggest checking out this one: http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-s1--sl11s110-senior-league/14521/!
Jennifer
My son has the 2011 BNC10XL and it does not have the stamp on it, is it not legal??? kahl4
The BNC10XL is required to have the USSSA BPf 1.15 stamp on it to make it legal for play in 2012. Here is the number to Easton to contact them about the issue to see if they can help you resolve the issue. Here is the link to view more details on this bat. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen--bnc10xl-senior-league/12690/
Derek
is this bat approved for Babe Ruth, our league rule states"Only composite barrel bats certified and marked BBCOR .50 will be allowed." dm
This bat is not approved for Babe Ruth. Composite barrel bats in this league must be BBCOR certified, and senior league bats will not have that certification. Only adult -3 bats will be BBCOR certified. The Easton Omen model that is BBCOR certified can be found here: http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/.
Jennifer
How many good hits will it take to break this bat in? Jackster
After about 150 or so hits off a tee or soft toss, this bat should be ready to go.
Tyler
In order to be sure, is the Easton Omen: BNC10XL a Little League (Junior Division) approved bat? Brian
The Omen would be legal for Junior Division Little League play if it is BBCOR certified. So, no the BNC10XL model would NOT be legal for play in this division. Composite barrel bats, like this one, must be BBCOR certified in order to be used in Junior league play. The Easton Omen that would be legal for play in this division can be found here: http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/.
Jennifer
When do you expect to get more sizes? BJ
The BNC10XL is discontinued and we will not be getting anymore in stock. The Easton S1: SL11S110 Senior League replaced the Easton Omen.
Kara
Is this or the -8 version going to have a bigger "sweet spot"? Spen
There will not be a difference in the "sweet spot" between the -8 and the -10.
Kara
would this bat be legal in dixie youth 11-12 in 2013? arod

Sean
does this bat meet the bbcor .50 standards and babe ruth babasweball 13-15 standards george
No. The Easton Omen: BNC10XL is a youth big barrel bat. Only Adult bats are eligible for BBCOR certification. This bat is not legal for the 13-15 year old division in Babe Ruth.
Tyler
Will this bat be legal for use in USSSA league in 2014? .
As long as your Easton Omen: BNC10XL Senior League features the new USSSA thumbprint stamp indicating the 1.15 BPF, this bat would be legal for play.
