Description

The DXCFR features the USSSA 1.15 stamp and is legal for use in When you think of the best quality baseball bats on the market today, only one word comes to mind; DeMarini. Year after year DeMarini produces some of the best baseball bats available, and that holds true once again this year. One of the crown jewels in the DeMarini line for the past several years has been the CF3/CF4 family. This year's CF4 ST is going to pick up right where its ancestors left off. The CF4 ST -8 composite senior league baseball bat is designed after the original, but it has a carbon material that is 22% stronger and has an 11% longer barrel than most composite bats. The new CF4 ST contains double re-enforced vertical and horizontal weave fibers to increase durability. The new design contains the strongest and tightest composite materials combined with Silver Trace bonding agents. This process adds strength to maximize the power transfer to the barrel for increased performance. DeMarini has found that by using the extended double wall barrel design, energy can be harnessed during the transfer process. The Half & Half system redistributes weight for optimal balance, allowing players to swing faster with less effort. Half & Half means more power at the point of contact. The improved end cap helps dampen vibrations, producing a better feel during every swing. The DeMarini variegated grip gives you the most comfortable feel, allowing you to have the most control possible. When you step in the box, take a DeMarini with you and hit your way to the championship. Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Best bat ever used. It has crazy pop. It feels like your'e launching the ball, not hitting it. DEMARINI has been the best for over 10 years. I have a 2006, 2007, and a 2009 demarini voodoo. All great bats with nice pop.

Pros: very lite, tons of pop, my team is absolutely smoking the ball. If you can get it I would highly recommend it in order to take your teams hitting to the next level. Very large sweet spot which is good for young players.

Cons: takes some getting used to weight wise but it is still a great bat.

Pros: We purchased this bat for our 13U traveling baseball team. They all love this bat. We previously purchased a different bat, which had good reviews, but the boys did not like the bat and we could not get them to use it. We set that bat back and got the CF4. This is a great bat that has a lot of pop and great balance. I would recommend this bat to anyone..

Pros: This bat is great. I just got the 31/23 version of it yesterday. In my first practice I hit a ball a little over 300 ft. I just came out of Little League and I'm only 5 foot 4 120 pounds. This bat isn't even broken in yet and it hits shots. I can't wait to see what it hits like when it's fully broken in.

Cons: Takes a little longer time than most bats to be broken in, but once broken, it's awesome

Pros: OMG..This is AWESOME. Just got it this afternoon and used it in practice. Ball was hitting the fence for a first time use. My son is 11 y/o and with more practice and swings, i know that the ball will be over the fence quite a few times this season. Everyone including the coach tried it and it just jumped off like flies when you "shoo" them away. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. And yes i bought it here.

Cons: Having to share it with the team is going to be the biggest Cons...

Pros: This bat is a sick!! When you hit the ball right on the barrel, it goes flying!!!! There is no shock on the barrel at all when you hit it there. This is the best bat I have ever used in my life!!!!

Cons: It is pretty expensive. It is definetly worth the price. If you hit the ball on the silver and white part above the handle, you hit a weak grounder. That is what the big barrel is there for!!!!

Pros: Bat is well balanced, seems lighter than actual weight. Ball comes off bat very nice with a good sound.

Cons: The USSSA finger print was put on about 3 inches higher than in photo and was partially removed from a ball hitting that area. Placed clear shipping tape over for protection since these fingerprints have to be on bats for 2012 season.

Pros: Bat is hot straight from the wrapper. My son is hitting the ball harder than ever now. I expect his home run count to double this year. This particular bat has the new USSSA label on it. We have owned every make and model that Demarini has made within that last 5 years, and this bat is the best one they have made! The -8 drop feels lighter than it is, and this bat is a good one for transitioning to the eventual -3 BBCOR that all players will have to go to in High School and USSSA at older levels.

Cons: Scratches and chips easily, but does not effect performance.

Pros: At list price this might be one of the best bets around, at the discounted price of $219 it is a steal. I was pretty taken back at how hot this bat is, I mean it is laser hot.! Don't worry about the extra ounces, the bat is very balanced and feels lighter than it is. No sting was a pleasant surprise also.

Pros: Very nice balance and a above average sweet spot. Great pop.

Cons: USSSA 1.15 stamp wears off very easily. Bat was disqualified from last tournament because the umpires could not read the stamp. Returned to DeMarini to be restamped. Hopefully this stamp will last. DeMarini should have known the painted stamp on the barrel would wear off quickly so I'm downgrading 1 star.

Pros: Nice weight balance and a lot of pop.

Cons: The USSSA 1.15 sticker rubbed off. DeMarini will fix but you have to send them the bat. Cost me $44 to send the bat back. Hopefully will only miss one weekend but extremely inconvenient. Build the cost of shipping the bat back to the manufacturer into your comparison costs.

Pros: I purchased this bat for my 13 year old who is playing on a club team and so far we don't have any performance issues with the bat. My son is lead-off and the bat has not impacted his success in this role.

Cons: During the first two weeks of owning the bat, the USSSA stamp made contact with a ball and it smugged off, so we have to send it back for a new stamp. I spoke to a DeMarini rep and she stated they new they had this problem with the bat. The bat has a lot of graphics and they are not holding up well.

Pros: This is the best bat on the market. You can save about $100 if you buy this instead of the cf5. This bat is also much better than the cf5. It has great pop. the ball launches off the bat. It lasts for a long time until it loses it "Pop" or cracks. Do not use in weather under 60 degrees. my friend did and it cracked. I hit 6 HRs with this bat and did better than ever before. Questions and Answers

Have a question about the DeMarini CF4 ST Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCFR? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is the a bat approved for Juniors in Little League for 2011? Jean
This question would definitely be better answered by your coach or league official. We are not a governing body so it is difficult for us to say without hesitation that any particular model is approved or not approved. It seems now more than ever that each league has their own guidelines to follow. We just don't want to misquote any information and therefore, a league official will be able to know exactly what is needed for that individual league.
Jeff
It really depends on what your league says is "legal". This bat has not been banned, but you should check with your league or coach to make sure.
Bodie
Is the CF4 ST -8 legal in MTYAA Pony League? thebatman
The DeMarini CF4 ST should be allowed by the league. This bat has a barrel size of 2 5/8, which is allowed in the leage. This bat is also -8, which is allowed.
Brett
Is this bat legal in the Babe Ruth league? feyt
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST is approved for Babe Ruth league. The bat passed the mandatory testing that these bats had to go through and it is able to be used.
Brett
Is this bat gonna be legal for 7th and 8th grade juinor high play in 2012? baseballchamp
It depends on what league you are playing in. I recommend talking to your league offical or your coach to see what is legal for your league.
Mark
Is this bat broken in right out of the box, or do you have to break it in? grizzly
The DeMarini CF4 ST is a two-piece composite bat and a break-in period is strongly recommended. We recommend 150-200 tee or soft toss swings with real baseballs, rotating the bat 1/4" after each swing.
Brett
I thought this bat was a 2010 or 2012 model well before the USSSA new 1.15 BFP tag was required. However, Justbats.com says it does have the stamp. What happened? Demarini just added the stamp to new bats because they already complied with USSSA requirements, or did they change the bat to make it compliant? Marco
The DeMarini CF4 Senior League Bats were manufactured well before USSSA came out and said they were going to require the BPF 1.15 stamp on all Senior League bats. I'm not 100% sure if the CF4s would have been BPF 1.15 certified, but I assume they would have been. Instead of reproducing the CF4s, DeMarini just rolled out their new CF5s with the stamp.
Brett
Will this be available in a 32 inch drop 8? showme
Unfortunately, this bat will not be available in a 32" model. This is the 2011 model and we will not be getting any more in stock. Your best option would be to check out the 2012 DeMarini CF5 DXCFR. http://www.justbats.com/product/2012-demarini-cf5--dxcfr-senior-league/13539/
Brett
I have seen on the Little League website a Demarini CF4 Model CFB11. What is diffrent between your DXCFR to CFB11? or there is an error on the website LLB? Ricardo
There is no difference. A lot of times the Little League website will use different model numbers, but they are the same bats.
Mark
Is this a "qualified BBCOR Bat" for 2012 season for my 13 year old? Melanie
The CF4 ST is not a BBCOR bat, BBCOR bats are only available in -3 length to weight ratios. BBCOR is for High school and College players.
John
There is a picture here on the Justbats.com website showing the new USSSA stamp and one that shows no stamp in the same area of the bat. The description clearly states that it has has the stamp and is legal for 2012 USSSA play. Is it legal or isn't it? ed
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST does have the USSSA stamp on the bat. All of our bats that have the stamp will say in the bullet points and show a picture of the stamp.
Todd
Can I send my bat in and get it stamped? smithblake
No, we are not able to stamp bats.
Sean
Is this bat legal for Little league and Babe Ruth in 2012? Highlander15
Each league is different. If Babe Ruth allows 2 5/8" barrel than the DeMarini CF4 ST is legal.
K.B.
Is this bat allowed for 14U Babe Ruth? Dougie117
No, the DeMarini CF4 ST is not legal for 14U Babe Ruth play. Per Babe Ruth rules, "For youth big barrel bats, all composite barreled bats must be BBCOR certified." The CF4 is not BBCOR certified.
K.B.
Can I use this bat on my 13U Dizzy Dean summer team? Chad
If you are allowed to use big barrel bats with a composite barrel, then this one would be allowed. This bat does have the USSSA 1.15 stamp on the barrel of the bat.
Todd
Can you use this bat in Bronco rules? lil j
Every league has different rules. The DeMarini CF4 ST is a composite bat, which some leagues don't allow. It has a USSSA stamp, which some leagues require. I would check with your local league official or the league website for further clarification.
K.B.
I just bought my CF4 last year. I don't have the USSSA stamp. That's what we play, are they going to let me use it? Jim
Most leagues and tournaments will require the USSSA stamp on the bat. I would check with your coach or league officials.
John
Am I allowed to use this composite bat in a junior league 13-14 yr old division in Uvalde TX? CF4 DUDE
Every league is different. I would check with your local league official for clarification to make sure you can use big barrel composite bats.
K.B.
Will this bat be legal for USSSA play in 2012? Godzilla76
Yes, DeMarini CF4 ST is legal for USSSA play in 2012.
Kara
Does this bat meet this criteria? Effective January 1, 2012, all newly manufactured non-wood bats must be stamped "approved for play in PONY Baseball" and stamped with "BPF 1.15" and the year manufactured. thanks jeff
I went out to the warehouse and grabbed a DeMarini CF4 ST to inspect it, it does have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it, not the Pony or the year stamp. Haven't seen any bats with those markings yet. If they just passed the ruling, the manufacturers probably are working to get some out now.
Linda
I am confused, is this a softball bat or OK for youth baseball? Birdman
The DeMarini CF4 ST is a Senior League baseball bat. It is USSSA 1.15 BPF approved and legal for Youth play as long as your league allows a 2 5/8" barrel. The CF4 is not legal for softball play.
Todd
Is there a reason for the the price drop? I was preparing to buy it but I would like to know why. homerking29
The DeMarini CF4 STis the old model. The 2012 DeMarini CF5 replaced it. When bats are being replaced, we drop the price. There is nothing wrong with the bat itself.
Kara
Is it a big barrel? If not what size barrel is it? Diego
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST is a big barrel, 2 5/8" barrel.
Kara
According to DeMarini, the CF4 2012 with the USSSA stamp is "different" from the 2011 CF4. Consequently, they wont and cant stamp the 2011 model with the USSSA stamp. If this is true, why are you using the 2011 reviews for the 2012 model with the USSSA stamp? Hot-Lanta
The way it was explained to us was, the older USSSA stamp came out before the league came up with the new stamp. As such to be fair to the manufacturers for the multitude of rule changes lately, the old stamp is to be grandfathered in. But check with your league rep to be sure.
Linda
Is this bat legal for use in 2013 and 2014 for USSSA? Cheap dad
The only thing we can tell you as of right now is that the DeMarini CF4 ST is legal for 2012. There is no way for us to know at this point if anything will change for those seasons, but as of right now it is legal.
Derek
Is USSSA stamp on this bat old or new one? How do you tell the difference? Cheap dad
Old bats just had USSSA 1.15 BPF written on them, but the DeMarini CF4 ST has the new USSSSA stamp on the taper.
Derek
Can you use this bat in Pony League in illinois? I need to get good hits and I'm kind of a slow swing will this bat help me? baseball 97
The DeMarini CF4 ST has the new USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp and is legal for 2012 Pony League play. The CF4 is a balanced, two-piece composite bat that will help increase your bat speed and pop.
Linda
Can you use this in Pony League, yes or no? baseball9712
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST can be used for Pony League play.
Linda
How is this bat compared to the Voodoo? baseball667
The DeMarini CF4 ST is a two-piece composite and the DeMarini Voodoo is a two-piece hybrid that has an alloy barrel and composite handle. The CF4 tends to have a little more pop because of the composite barrel. The CF4 will require a break in period.
K.B.
Does the bat have more pop than the Voodoo, Vexxum, M2M or the Vendetta cause I need a bat with pop? baseball6777
The DeMarini CF4 ST has great pop. The CF4 was one of the hottest bats on the market last year and is still one of the best bats out there. The composite material that is used in this bat is going to be top of the line and is very durable.
Todd
Does this bat break easily? baseball19
We have not heard of the DeMarini CF4 ST breaking easily or more than other bats. There is 12-month manufacturer's warranty if you run into any problems.
Pete
Is it legal in USSSA? lil wil
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST has the USSSA & BPF 1.15 stamp.
William
Is this bat legal in USSSA baseball lil will
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST has the USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp.
John
Is this bat better than the Vendetta C6? matt
The DeMarini CF4 ST is Demarini's top of the line, two-piece composite bats. But the Vendetta is also a good option if your looking for a two-piece composite bat.
Jeff
We are a member of COYBL in Columbus, Ohio. Is this bat legal for a u-13 travel? I'm thinking -5 is the most we can use? rick
Every individual league has their own rules and ammendments. So I would check with them first. But the info we have is the bat has to be either USSSA 1.15BPF stamped, OR be BBCOR certified.
Linda
I was told that the difference between length and weight could ony be a -3 in high school. Is this true? Like a 31 length had to be a 28 weight. Tanner
Yes, high school and college players are required to use a -3, BBCOR bat.
linda
Is this USSSA approved and does it have the stamp? Chris
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST is USSSA certified ad has the USSSA 1.15 BPA stamp.
Linda
Regarding: Bat Pack DeMarini CF4 ST and Easton Rival XXL: DXCFR and BG11XL Senior League... Will these bats be stampped with USSSA 1.15 BPF? Roweboat
Yes, both the DeMarini CF4 ST and Easton Rival XXL have the USSSA stamp.
Linda
What is the physical difference between this CF4 & the new CF5? scott
The T3 Strut Technology is the only real addition to the CF5.The molecular structure of the TR3 Strut handle is designed to efficiently transition power from the hands to the barrel to give players balance and consistency with every swing.
Linda
Does this bat have the USSSA 1.15 BPF sticker on it? They are telling us that is the only bats we can use for 2012. Could you send me the bats that have this sticker on it so I can get my son a bat that is legal. Thank you Chuck
It does have the older of the USSSA stickers. But it is still legal. The best place to go to the the list of bats approved is, go to your league director. Every league has slightly different amendments to the rules.
Linda
Does this bat have the stamp approved in Pony Baseball and the year manufactered? matt97
Yes. This bat does have the USSSA stamp and is approved for Pony League baseball.
KG
What is the circumference? Tony Gumbo
The DeMarini CF4 ST has a 2 5/8" barrel.
Kara
Is this better than the RIP-IT Prototype II? matt
The DeMarini CF4 ST and RIP-IT Prototype II are very different. The CF4 is a two-piece all composite bat and the Prototype is a one-piece all alloy bat.
Linda
Do this bat have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it? jaime
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST has the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp.
Linda
wHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS BAT AND cf5 ASSUMING BOTH ARE 2012 AND STAMPED WITH 1.15 bpf usssa? Matt
These bats will be very similar to each other. They have very good pop and nice size sweet spot. This will be one of the best Senior League bats we offer.
KG
They are going to be very similar. Demarini took a little more time on the constructing the composite fibers. Other than that, its really going to be a pain change.
Mike
Is this bat good for dixie youth baseball GP
Yes, this is legal for Dixie youth play
John
Does the pop last a long time? and does it easily chip and or dent? Andrew
The bat will last quite a while, we have not heard of any chipping or denting issues
Sean
Yesterday after practice my coach said we have to have bbcor bat or bp something were 12u 13u what bat do you think will fit me 12yrs 4,10ft J
The bpf 1.15 stamped bats would be needed for 12 and 13U I would look at a 30" or a 31"
Sean
Does this bat feature the usssa 1.15 bpf stamp? isaac
Yes, this bat is going to feature the 1.15 bpf stamp on it
Sean
I have the 2011 CF4 ST Model CFR11 -8 I do not see a stamp on it. Seeing that it is the same as the new DXCFR is usssa going to allow it. Duane
If it doesn't have the USSSA stamp on the taper of the bat it will not be legal for play in USSSA in 2012.
Kara
How is the pop of this bat or the CF5 compared to the Easton Speed (-8)? Antonio
They all have composite barrels, and as such they require a break in to get to the hot pop. But once broken in, they are all going to have great pop!
Linda
How can this 2011 bat have the 2012 usssa stamp on it? Were they sent back and certified and then stamped? Is it the same stamp that is on the cf-5? jeff
The CF4 has been recertified by DeMarini, it will be the same stamp as the Cf5
Sean
In my sons league we are not permitted to use certain composite bats. Would this bat be legal ? Swish 33
This bat is all composite and will have tons of pop. The composite barrel will give the player more power when hitting the ball.
KG
My son plays in a Little League chartered league (Williamsport rules); we don't deviate from williamsport rules locally; so it's strictly williamsport governed. this year, he will move to junior league as a 13 yr old. the LL website has approved bats, but they seem to be -3s? also, the cf4 model number they list is different than your model number. so - question - do you know if this bat on your website is approved for little league play for 2012? Liam OC
In the Junior Division, any big barrel comoposite bats must be BBCOR certified and be -3. If the bat is alloy it can be any weight.
Kara
Does this bat need a breaking in period? Also, why dont alloy barrel bats need a breaking in period? joe
Composite bats to require a break in period. You will need to take about 100-200 swings and rotate the barrel about a quarter of an inch to break in the bat. Composite materials are like trampolines, the material is very tight, but the more you use them the farther the ball will travel.
K.B.
Will this bat perform better once it is broken in? bob
Yes. Composite bats will continue to perform better as the composite material is broken in.
K.B.
It would really help if you would post a picture of the USSSA BPF 1.15 mark on this bat. The USSSA rules are very clear, without the new USSSA mark on the taper of this bat it will be illegal for 14U and under players. Would love to buy the bat - its a good price, but if its illegal it's worthless...Thanks Nick
This bat DOES have the stamp and it will be legal for the 2012 season.
KG
where is the usssa stamp trent
This is a 2011 model that was produced before the new stamp was required. It does however, say 1.15 BPF which will be grandfathered in for 1 yr. In 2013, ALL bats will be required to have the USSSA stamp.
Linda
is there a difference between in how the 2011 cf4 and the 2012 cf4 with the usssa stamp perform. Did the company reduce the "pop" in the bat to meet the new standards from 2011 to 2012? bill
Actually, there is not a 2012 model of CF4, it went to the CF5 in 2012.
Linda
The Demarini website describes this bat as having an "end loaded feel", your description says it's balanced and easy to swing. Which is it? shaggy
This bat is not end loaded. This bat has a balanced weight.
KG
it is a big barrel bat correct? wayne
Yes this is considered a big barrel.
John
does this bat have a stamp frog
Yes, this bat does have the USSSA stamp.
KG
i purchased this bat in june of 2011 and i found out 2 months later that it would be banned without the usssa badge. can the bat be sent in to be certified for use in 2012. this is a awesome bat that really changed my sons hitting. He went from good hits to out of the park hits. tom
This bat is marked with the usssa 1.15 bpf mark, just not the most recent watermark. The information given to us is the newest stamp is ibedded in the bat and bats are not allowed to be sent in to be marked. That said, they also grandfathered in the usssa marking you have for 1 yr. in 2013 all bats will be required to have the official watermark. So even though you don't have the official mark, the marking you do have is legal for 2012.
Linda
Is this bbcor for 2012? nrocco
Senior league bats are not BBCOR certified, only adult sizes. This bat has the older 1.15 BPF stamp on it, that is being grandfathered in until 2013.
Linda
Yes or no, if I bought this bat today Jan 6 2012, will it have the "NEW USSSA 1.15 STAMP" on it? Previous answers are conflicting. Grandfathering doesn't count, i want to know if it is the most current or not. confused
The older CF4's didn't have the USSSA stamp. The CF4 we have in stock now do have the new USSSA stamp.
Kara
For those that say this bat has an older USSSA 1.15 stamp but is still ok for 2012, can you tell me where to find this in the USSSA rules? What I've read is very explicit that ALL bats 2012 forward must have the NEW stamp, and I saw no mention of grandfathering this or any bat with the old stamp. batter-up
The link is http://www.usssa.com/usssa/usssa-general/BaseballBatAnnouncement4-22-11.pdf. Again, this is legal for 2012 in USSSA.
K.B.
Does this bat feature the new USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp for 2012? zimbo
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST features the USSSA stamp.
John
Is this bat still legal for Babe Ruth in 2012 (13-15 yr old) b13

Kara
Is this bat usssa legal? Dad

John
Is this bat legal for Juniors in Davis California for the 2012 season. Ted
Please contact your local league official to make sure of it. Rules vary all over the country. They should have a list of banned bats or be able to tell if one is legal.
Bodie
does this bat come in a big barrel AJ
The barrel size will be 2 5/8" which is considered big barrel.
KG
does this have the 1.15 bpf sticker slugger4
Yes, it will have the 1.15 bpf sticker on the bat
John
Is this bat a big barrel bat? Pat
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST is considered a big barrel due to the barrel diameter being 2 5/8".
John
Our league requires bats in the 2 5/8" catagory used by 13U players be labeled with a "BBCOR" certification. Does this bat have a "BBCOR" certification label? Lance
This is considered a youth big barrel bat and has the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp. Only adult, -3 bats will have the BBCOR certification.
Shelbe
I bought my son this bat in August 2011. It does not have USSSA stamp, but does have the 1.15 on it. New USSSA rules say he can not use this bat. Is DeMarini offering anything to us who have not even owned these bats 6 months as far as replacement?? ballmom
Demarini is not offering any kind of deal for bats that are 2011 models that do not have the stamp on them. However, you can contact them at 800-245-5454 to see if they will put a stamp on your bat.
Shelbe
Does this have the USSSA stamp on it? Joe
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST has the USSSA stamp.
Sean
My son is 5'1 and weights 105. What size bat should he swing as for weight and length. Turned 12 in august. Frank the Gangster
Based on your son's specs, I recommend a 31" bat.
Brad
My son is 4'10" and weighs 82lbs. What is the recommended bat for him? JBird
The recommended size for a player this size is about 30". If you are looking at ordering this particular bat, I would suggest going with the 30" 22oz. The following link will give you some suggestions for some similar bats for you to compare if you want to look at other options as well: http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~youth%20big%20barrel/length~30%20inch/length%20to%20weight%20ratio~-%208/weight~22%20oz/
Jennifer
Is the CF4 a one piece or 2 piece? Jamie
The DeMarini CF4 ST is a two-piece bat. The following link will give you some other options in case you would like to see any other suggestions for senior league two-piece bats: http://www.justbats.com/products/material~half%20and%20half/baseball%20bats~youth%20big%20barrel/
Jennifer
What is the difference between the CF4 and CF5 DeMarini bat? Shannon
The difference between these two models would be a litte more durability in the CF5, and the different paint scheme. I will give you the link to both bats below so you can compare the feature of each one. http://www.justbats.com/product/demarini-cf4-st--dxcfr-senior-league/11646/ http://www.justbats.com/product/2012-demarini-cf5--dxcfr-senior-league/13539/
Derek
Is this bat BBCOR certified? kokoa
Senior League bats will not be BBOCR certified. Only adult bats are BBCOR certified.
KB
No, the DeMarini CF4 ST is not BBCOR certified. The bat will have to be a -3 length to weight ratio to be BBCOR certified.
John
Is this a 2011 bat? Sam
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST DXCFR is a 2011 model.
KB
Do you know when you'll be receiving more 32" 24 oz in stock on this model? loveDeMarinis
We will not be receiving more of the 32" 24 oz. The DeMarini CF4 ST is a discontinued model. We do have the CF5 in a 32" 24oz.
KB
My question is about the CF4ST Model CFB11. Is this bat legal to use in the 2012 Little League season for Junior League play for 13 and 14 year olds? Coach
The DeMarini CF4 ST DXCFR is not legal in the Junior League Division. All composite barrel bats in that division must be BBCOR certified.
Kara
Wait so can I use this bat in the 2012 season? AB
The DeMarini CF4 ST DXCFR has the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp so it is legal for the 2012 season.
Zach
Is this bat Pony League approved? Claudia
The DeMarini CF4 ST DXCFR is legal for play by Pony league standards. Pony league rules state that any 2 5/8 non-wood barrel (that is not a -3) can be used at any level of play.
Shelbe
I'm a little nervous that the 1.15 sticker might come off. Should I be, and should I put tape over it? kman
We have had feedback the sticker has been rubbing off. DeMarini is aware of this issue and will take back the bat and re-stamp it should this occur. We suggest using clear tape over the stamp to avoid the issue.
KB
How does this bat compare to the Omen? I know its heavier but I have a drop 12 Omen and I had a drop 5 Rival for CFBL. I got a defective S1 that made a funny plunking sound every time I hit it. christian
The DeMarini CF4 ST will perform very similarly compared to the Easton Omen. Both bats are two-piece composite designs and are balanced. Each one will have pretty good pop as well.
Jennifer
Where can I find an official statement/guideline that I can take to my league stating that the USSSA 1.15 stamp is acceptable for the juniors (little league) in 2012? They're asking for a BBCOR stamp on anything with a composite handle/barrel. Want to make sure I'm clear before buying. His two older Voodoos are out...Thx. dave
If you are wanting to use a composite barrel bat in Junior Little League, it must be a -3 BBCOR certified bat. All alloy and alloy barrel/composite handle bats can be any drop and must have the USSSA stamp, but not be BBCOR certified. In the case of this particular bat, you would need to purchase the adult -3 BBCOR approved bat in order for it to be legal for use in your league.
Jennifer
Will this come in a bigger size like 31" or 32"? JJ
We do not have anymore of the 31" or 32". The DeMarini CF4 ST DXCFR is a discontinued model. We have a 31" and a 32" model in the 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFX Senior League.
Kara
Is the CF4 ST legal for 13-14 year old Pony League for 2012? erik
Yes, the DeMarini CF4 ST is legal in Pony League for 2012.
Kara
The USSSA sticker on the bat smeared, and you can't read it now. The tournament we played in this weekend would not allow the bat to be used. What do we do? seahawks
DeMarini is aware of this issue and will take the bat back to be re-stamped. Please contact Demarini at 1-800-937-2287.
Kara
Is it approved for Little League? And why can't I get it in a bigger size like 32"? danny
The DeMarini CF4 ST: DXCFR is not approved for Little League. The item is discontinued and is no longer available in a 32". However, the 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFR Senior League is available in a 32".
Kara
Is this bat available in 29" and less than 22 oz? I would prefer it to be around 17 oz. Greg
Unfortunately no, the lightest model the DeMarini CF4 ST DXCFR is produced in is a 29" 21 oz.
Tyler
Is this barrel the same size as the Easton Quantum? gman
No, the DeMarini CF4 ST DXCFR has a 2 5/8" barrel. The Quantum had a 2 3/4" barrel.
Tyler
It's my first year of Babe Ruth baseball and I was wondering if it is legal? kevin
The CF4 DXCFR is not legal in Babe Ruth. They have deemed youth big barrel bats with composite hitting surfaces illegal. If you want to use a bat with a composite barrel, it must be an adult BBCOR bat.
Tyler
What is the difference between the 2011 Demarini CF4 ST and the 2012 Demarini Cf5 for senior legaue, because I am tryind to decide which one to get? scott
Performance and design wise, there isn't much of a difference between the DeMarini CF4 ST and the 2012 DeMarini CF5. The CF4 uses a Silver Trace bonding agent in the composite and the CF% uses TR3 Strut composite.
Derek H.
My son Luke is 11U baseball age and he wanted me to get him the Black CF3 but i cant find one (seems they dont make it anymore and all the online bat shops are sold out). How does this bat compare to the CF3? sam
The CF3 is an old model that has been discontinued. Honestly though, nothing is different between the CF3 and CF4 besides the paint job.
Tyler
Will this bat and the 2010 DeMarini CF4 be legal for pony league baseball in 2013? thenextbryceharper
Going by Pony's rulebook, the CF4 will not be legal for play this year or next year.
Tyler
Are these two bats approved for Babe Ruth? Hively
Unfortunately, the CF4 is a composite big barrel bat that is illegal in Babe Ruth. I am unable to see what the other bat is your are referring to. Under Babe Ruth rules, if a bat has a composite barrel, it must be an Adult BBCOR certified bat.
Tyler
Are 32 inch 29 weight bats legal in middle school if they are not BBCOR? The CF4 is the bat on topic right now. neema z
You will have to ask your coach that question. Middle School leagues are not governed by a national set of rules and vary from district to district. Many middle schools follow high school rules in regards to -3 bats, but I know of a few that operate independently and have their own set of rules.
Tyler
Does this bat come in a 32" by 20? happy mothers day
No. The DXCFR was not produced in that size.
Tyler
Is this bat legal in Cal Ripken? nick
The DeMarini CF4 ST is not legal in Cal Ripkin.
Kara
Is the grip part black like in the video? hahadd
No, the CF4 DXCFR is going to have a gold grip.
Sean
How do I break in the CF4? Birklej
We recommend taking 100-200 swings off a tee or soft toss. Rotate the barrel about 1 1/4 inch each swing. We also recommend not using composite bats in batting cages that use yellow dimpled balls.
Kara
Are there any 31 inch CF4's and is it legal in Little League? joe
The CF4 is discontinued and has been replaced by the CF5. We will not be getting any more 31 inch CF4s in stock. The Senior League CF4 is not legal for Little League.
Tyler
Does the DeMarini CF4 ST: DXCFR Senior League have the usssa stamp because I have this CF4 with no stamp? Irish
The CF4 bats we have remaining in stock all have the new USSSA stamp. Some of the original models of the CF4 that were produced prior to that rule change and do not have the stamp. If you have a bat that has been purchased in the last year and you think it should have the stamp, you should contact DeMarini at 1-800-937-2287.
Tyler
Is there any chance you could maybe order in a 31/23? FPBOMBER
The DeMarini CF4 is a discontinued model. We will not be receiving more stock. We do have the 2012 DeMarini CF5: DXCFR Senior League available in a 31" 23 oz..
Kara
What's the difference between the 2010 CF4 and the 2011 CF4? Will they perform the same? cj
Both the 2010 CF4 and the 2011 CF4 will perform similar to each other.
Kara
Are both bats USSSA approved? hammer
The Demarini CF4 ST is USSSA approved.
Kara

If you put a tuff sleeve on the barrel would it then be safe to use in cage with dimple balls? Also will the CF4 be a legal USSSA bat next year? chris
Placing a tuff sleeve on the bat should make it safe enough to use in a batting cage with yellow dimpled balls. The DeMarini CF4 ST will be legal in USSSA next year.
Kara

Tyler
Is there a difference batween this and the cf5 2012? Dan
With the 2012 model, DeMarini did make some upgrades to the composite material. DeMarini has unveiled a new composite material, called TR3 Strut Composite, that imitates the structure of crystals which are one of the strongest and most stable compounds on Earth. The triangle formation inside the barrel provides a fixed ratio of sides and angles so it's strong, stable and predictable - without any unnecessary weight! The molecular structure of the TR3 Strut handle is designed to efficiently transition power from the hands to the barrel to give players balance and consistency with every swing. Other than the new composite, they are the same.
Tyler

My son is 13 and plays in Rockmart, Georgia Little League. Is this bat legal for him to use? chuck
The DeMarini CF4 Senior League is a big barrel bat so it would not be legal. Little League requires the small 2 1/4" barrel bat.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
