2012 DeMarini Voodoo: DXVDL Youth |
Average Customer Review
A very "balanced" bat! Equivalent to the "Surge" as far as weight distribution is concerned. In no way is it "End Loaded" Has an excellent "Pop". Very pleased with this bat as far as performance is concerned. Your kid will not be disappointed if a balanced bat is what your looking for
Graphics is "Sick" looking may not want you to swing it! Best looking bat by far!
Bought this bat (29"/16oz) as a gift for my son who already has a (28"/15oz)2011 Voodoo and I could tell a difference right away. First thing I noticed was that this bat sounds like a fire cracker but the best part is that it isn't all bark he is hitting it noticeably further. His coaches couldn't help but say wow at the next practice at how well and far he was driving the ball. Worth every penny!
none yet, aside from the other boys wanting to use it.

Ask A QuestionA notice that the 2012 Voodoo is not BBCOR certified, but the 2013 Voodoo is. Does the BBCOR affect the amount of "pop" the bat will have? If so, which will have more pop, 2012 or 2013?
Since this 2012 DeMarini Voodoo is a youth bat, neither the 2012 or 2013 model is BBCOR Certified (which is only for adult bats). The only major difference between the 2012 and 2013 is the change from SC4 Alloy to X10 Alloy on the barrel. You might see a slight increase in pop in the newer version, but the pop on the Voodoo is very similar year to year.
My son is on a travel baseball league and he tried a Vendetta from 2010 that is 31/18 -13 with the bigger long barrell. He hits excellent with that but I can not find it anywhere. I'm trying to find a comperable bat to that one, what would you recommend?
The 2012 DeMarini Voodoo would be very comparable to the 2010 Vendetta.
is this a balanced or end loaded bat?
The DXVDL is a balanced bat. It has a 2 1/4" barrel size and a great amount of pop.

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini....read more
