Xylo is serious about the maple wood that goes into their Elite Series. One can definitely understand when they hear that Xylo rigorously inspects all the maple wood they receive. Of the wood that passes that initial inspection, only the top 40% is allowed to be a part of this Elite Series. Even though they are only allowing tip-top maple wood to be included in this line, Xylo takes things even further. After the maple bat is cut, they use their unique barrel hardening process to make the hitting surface as hard as possible. And what's unique about the hardening process??? Well, Xylo uses a deer antler to get the maple grains tightly compressed together. Because of this, when you connect with a baseball on the barrel of an Elite Series Maple bat from Xylo, you'll witness sharper and further hits as a harder hitting surface improves performance on a maple bat every time.

The barrel is not super lengthy and due to that feature, the bat will be balanced and able to be whipped quickly through the hitting zone. About the Brand
Xylo Bats was born from humble beginnings in North Texas in 2012. Their founder and owner, Leland Wetzel, had the idea to cut a wood bat as a birthday present for his young nephew. Shortly before cutting that first bat, Leland sent up a prayer to God asking that if cutting bats could be a hobby or "maybe even something more than a hobby" that God might send Leland a passion for it.
Leland definitely received a passion for cutting wood baseball bats. He started producing more and more bats with each coming year. And in 2016, he caught a chance for Xylo Bats to break into professional baseball when a friend introduced him to former Minnesota Twin, Joe Mauer. The next season, Leland was able to deliver a few Xylo bats to Joe when he was playing against the Rangers in Dallas, TX. Xylo quickly became an approved supplier of wood bats to Major League Baseball.
Xylo not only focuses on professional players but also looks to meet the needs of amateur and youth hitters needing wood bats.
