Description
Victus NOX -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: VSBNX10
Victus is bringing obNOXious speed, power and performance to USSSA baseball fields with their Nox bat!
Bat Benefits
The NOX is constructed in a two-piece design and it will feature a hybrid build. Hybrid bats are going to feature an alloy barrel and a composite handle. And since an alloy barrel will usually feel a little heavier than a composite barrel, this bat will feature a slight barrel load to it. That being said, we don't believe that the slight barrel-heavy feel makes contact hitters unable to use the bat. Mostly we will believe the extra heft in the barrel will make it perfect for young batters that have a little higher power potential.
As well, Victus makes this drop 10 and USSSA rated bat with their Two Smooth Impact Connection (2SIX) piece. That piece features 2 bands in it that will prevent vibration from getting down to a player's hands on a miss-hit. Plus the 2SIX Connector Piece will provide a stiff connection between the barrel and handle that will allow almost all the energy and strength from a batter's swing to be transferred into the baseball at contact. And when you do make contact, the Ringless Barrel design should allow for an expanded sweet spot that should be able to knock baseballs all over the yard.
Warranty
In the past few years, Victus has really made its mark on the baseball bat market. And they know that they have to care for customers if they want to keep themselves at the top of their fans’ minds. Because of that, they extend a twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty period on this bat. Solid 10u-11u travel team bat JoshD Parent
Pros: My son used this all 10u season and now most of this 11u season as his "light bat" against faster pitchers. Its pretty durable, got decent pop, its held up well. Cant go wrong will thos overall decent bat, however this bat being end loaded will feel quite heavy to younger kids so dont buy too heavy and have them "grow into it". Being its now discounted to less than $99, buy it for immediate use for 1yr and move on.
Cons: I prefer the Cat9 which is now $99 over this Nox bat. My son has hit 2HRs with his Cat9 drop8 and i think only rolled it to the fence with his Nox drop10, and it doesnt have as much pop off the bat. Yes different weight bats, but of you are lookong for a $100 bat on clearance go Cat9 or F5 as Marucci bats are better quality.
Great bat Tony Parent
Pros: Balanced. Good pop. Son (11u) finds the sweet spot with ease. Taken a beating in fall and is fine. Great price. First USSSA bat. There are bats out there with more pop, but my son has been ripping the ball with this bat.
Cons: The black and silver are a cool look but scratches up pretty quickly.
Great overall bat Adam Coach
Pros: Balance bat with a light swing, any kid on the team can hit with this bat. Pop is good on this bat, more of a bat for contact hitters. No complaints of vibration from the players, excellent choice for players that like a balance feel.
Cons: None
Give it a chance Leanne Parent
Pros: Bought this bat for my soon 9 yr old. His first few at bats were rough, and he wasn’t liking it. We told him to just continue trying it. After a few practices and a weekend tournament, he found his sweet spot. The kid was hitting doubles back to back and even hit his very first home run!
Cons: Barrel is slightly shorter in length than a few other bats, so if not hit in the right spot, there is still a sting. The wrap is starting to unravel, and we’ve only had it about 2 weeks
Victus Nox Dane Parent
Pros: Recommended for 11U and 12U great bat for the price!
Cons: None
Kid loves it nate Parent
Pros: My kid really likes it. Can not speak to durability yet, as he has only used it for a few games, but it seems very solid. He likes the grip and the feel and certainly seems to have some good pop.
Cons: none as of now
Not durable Brittney Rutherford Parent
Pros: It is a good bat. Our son hit well with it and liked it. But, it didn't last more than 15 months. If you need a single-season bat, it's good because it's half price right now.
Cons: This bat cracked at the handle after 15 months of use under very normal, if not under-utilized conditions. Our son does not play year round - we were hoping to get at least two seasons out of it or pass it to our younger son. He loved the bat - but something that doesn't last - and that Victus/Marucci (their metal bat manufacturer) won't replace after the 12 month warranty may not be worth it if you want more than a season. There's a reason this is on sale. The company offered a discount code but with this bat already at half price, it's not worth it. We went Cat X for the replacement. Hoping that is more durable because of how it's constructed. It's done well so far as we had to replace mid season.
Great Underrated Bat! JasonK Parent
Pros: My son loves this bat. It has a great feel and the ball flies off! Nice grip and low vibration.
Cons: None as of now!
My 10yr Olds love it. Moots Parent
Pros: It's got a great feel, pop right out of the wrapper and looks/sounds cool. One of my 10yr old Twin boys said to me after hitting with it that "he never knew baseball could be so much fun". A little over the top but just saying it's a fun bat to hit with.
Cons: None at this time
Bat broke in half after two BP sessions Fogel Parent
Pros: Great look to the bat and my 11yr old son liked the swing and pop.
Cons: The bat broke in the second BP session which makes me question the quality of the bat.
Knox Rocks Nicholas Castoria Coach
Pros: Bat is great. Pop off the bat is insane.
Cons: No cons
Nox has pop! Tucker Heisey Player
Pros: Great pop - jumps off the sweet spot No vibration Very cool/good looking bat Feels lighter
Cons: None yet
great pop and easy on the hands Walker Parent
Pros: My 11u son has mostly used 1 piece alloy bats (Mizuno Hot Metal & Louisville Solo), He says this bat is much easier on his hands. The bat has a slight end load feel vs the 1 piece alloy bats. We chose this bat over the cat 9 connect because it has supposed to be a little lighter to swing. He hit a triple over the right fielder's head his first game at bat using this bat.
Cons: None so far.
Good but not great Andrew Regulski Parent
Pros: Light swinging! Heavier swinging than bonesaber -10 (lightest we’ve swung). Actual scale weight (nox) 20.4 oz to put into perspective our cat 9 connect alloy 30-20 actual scale weight is 21.7. That extra 1.3 oz is all in the barrel and although my now 11 year old is lightning quick with the nox the cat 9 connect alloy is significantly hotter. This is a spring bat up here in Michigan until it’s warm enough to get the CF out. Great bat for a kid looking for a hybrid just moving up to the next length and values balance. Just FYI the CF scale weight is 21.3 and swings a bit lighter than the cat 9 connect alloy. Hope this helps!
Cons: None
