Rawlings Quatro Pro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BBZQ3
If you're looking for a bat that will make a huge difference at the plate, the Rawlings Quatro Pro -3 BBCOR baseball bat is a perfect choice. This bat is designed specifically to showcase each hitter's natural power, bat speed and control each time they step up to the plate.
Bat Benefits:
The Quatro Pro BBCOR is a 2-piece composite bat that features a multi-disc system and ultra-light end cap, giving it a balanced, lightweight feel for increased bat speed. Rawlings uses Q4 Technology to combine ultra-reactive barrel and handle flex to provide unmatched power, speed, and distance when the ball leaves the bat. The bat also boasts Focused Flex, a reactive collar where the handle and barrel meet, which eliminates vibration up the handle and barrel drag through the strike zone. For even more comfort and control, the bat uses a Lizard Skins grip.
Warranty:
In order to establish themselves as a heavy-hitter within the bat industry, Rawlings knows that they need to make a commitment to helping their customers when they are in need. Because of that need for a commitment to customers, Rawlings extends a twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty period on this bat. If you get this bat and you are noticing issues on it within a year from the date of purchase, please let the JustBats Bat Experts know. They will get you the information for beginning the warranty return process with Rawlings.

Pros: My son has the Rawlings Glowstick. Didn't necessarily need a new bat but I decided to buy him the Cherry Bomb. Atfer breaking in the bat with roughly 250 good hits this bat hits bombs. Love the sound it makes when you smack the ball. It's almost like a wood bat sound. The Glowstick rains supreme but right now it's a tie.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Once you get the Quatro in your hands, you will feel a little underwhelmed since you would expect a typical end loaded bat. But once broken in, this bat will exceed every expectation in feel, pop, vibration (which is practically none) and the sound off the bat is simply poetic. I used the meta, and the prime this past summer and I can definitely say confidently that this bat is up there with the best and maybe better depending on the hitter you are. The balance of this thing is something to behold. Light, powerful, and yet so powerful. Not to mention it is one of the cleanest bats I’ve ever payed my eyes on.
Cons: Not an end loaded bat-which could be a con depending on what your preference is.
Pros: As a player I have bought the new 2020 cherry bomb. It has pop right out the wrapper and one of the nicest bats I have used.
Cons: None
Pros: Doesn’t hurt hands
Cons: Feels very end loaded and when I hit a ball I can feel something shift in the barrel. It really just doesn’t explode off the bat like other bats. Maybe it’s just my bat but idk?
Pros: Great Swing Weight, feels lighter then advertised but weighted almost exact as listed on shipping scale. Broke in nice and has great pop and feel when striking balls. Gave it 5 stars on durability due to the awesome paint job not getting scratched and ball scuffs wiping off with finger pressure after playing 15 (High School & Travel Team) games with it, but time will tell on the barrel holding up. So far so good, have had three other Quartos over the years and this is right up there with the older "Glowsticks"
Cons: None yet
Pros: This bat hits nukes, although it requires a short break-in period like all other composite bats it is definitely worth it. The feel is great, barrel is huge and pop is just as good as most end loaded bats although it is balanced. This bat is very comparable to the Meta and is slightly cheaper. The bat is also absolutely beautiful in person.
Cons: Coaches occasionally pick up the bat to make sure it’s legal. Paint always looks brand new, so people are always drawn to it. Only had it for a month so I can’t ensure it’s durability but seems good so far. Because I’ve been spending so much time looking at this beautiful bat my girlfriend has started getting jealous.
Pros: Huge sweet spot, great feel. Balanced bat
Cons: None
Pros: a lot of weight in the shaft
Cons: only 2 Home runs Ugly useless (dont waste ur money) my $50 bat is better my 7th grade son broke it
Pros: Lightweight, good for smaller batters.
Cons: Bat gets pushed back when hitting off decent speed. Lasted about 2 monthes before barrel cracked and fell apart basically shattered.
Pros: Make sure to read the "Cons". This bat has a huge sweet spot and has all kinds of pop. Unfortunately, the cons (listed below) 100% outweigh the benefits.
Cons: I bought two of them for two players on my team. Both fell apart exactly the same way within the same tournament (first tournament with them.) Essentially, the shaft disconnects from the barrel and then the barrel just flops around. It is awful engineering. When you look inside the barrel there is just silicon connecting the barrel to the shaft. Clearly the engineers were never baseball players and don't understand what this thing is being used for. I am having two new bats shipped to me. Rawlings says that they were just defective but I am confident the bats weren't defective but rather the bat design that is defective. If I am wrong and the next bats hold up. I will definitely delete this post, but as of right now. I would just purchase another bat if I was to do it over again.
Pros: Beautiful color, nice, light and doesn’t hurt hands.
Cons: In less than a month; the end cap of the bat came off.
Pros: This is the best bat I have ever owned to date. I have had it for about a year and it has really helped me transition from -5 usssa and -5 usa bats to -3 bbcor. It's super light swinging and has amazing pop! I would definitely recommend it to any young players transitioning to bbcor. Also, in my opinion it's one of the best looking bats out there and doesn't have the ear-piercing sound like the Velo and other alloy bats.
Cons: Supposedly it has a short lifespan, but I haven't had any issues yet.
Pros: There are no cons my friends from 11 to 14 are hitting bombs and light and the pop on the bat is over five stars. I love it
Cons: No con
Pros: I already have another post about this bat, I just wanted to add more things as i've used it more.
Cons: I have been hitting it for about a year now and the connector piece feels like it's slowly falling apart. It makes a weird rubbery noise when it hits the ground and sometimes when you hit it, it makes jolt feeling after you hit the bat, almost as if the connector piece is moving. Also when i got it, it felt very balanced but as i've hit it for a year, it's become more end-loaded, weird. It's a really good bat but has some problems with the connector piece.
Pros: Very balanced bat. Light as a toothpick. Big sweet spot and very forgiving. My son is a smaller 13 yr old who broke his leg last fall. Was looking for a BBCOR that he could easily control through the zone at 31/28. This was the bat. Had a 29/26 Rawlings 5150 which had some pop, but even at 29in, was too end loaded for him. Loves the Quatro. Has won “Line Drive to the back of the Cage” knockout 3 times in a row in practice. Love the cherry red finish that doesn’t seem to chip or leave ball smears.
Cons: Heard of past durability issues, but solid so far for us.
Pros: Huge pop out of the plastic
Cons: Broke in less than a week of use by a high school team!
Pros: Will let you know when we get it back from Rawlings
Cons: Cap popped off after two days. Sent back to be repaired, not replaced.
Pros: Overall I love it
Cons: It broke in half
Pros: We were having wrist growth plate pain with a CAT 8 ,that went completely away with the Quatro Pro
Cons: We bought the bat just before Covid hit and did not use it early on, in total we got about 7 months of use when the bat developed a spiral crack in the barrel. Rawlings refused to cover it because it had been over a year since we purchased it
Pros: my average with this bat is 924 and I've hit about 328382 bombs with it
Cons: nothing
Pros: It has good sound and good grip.
Cons: My friend had this bat and I hit with it and I was really good. I decided that I was gonna get it because I liked it. As soon as it arrived I could feel that it wasn't the same. When you swing the connecter feels like it is moving. If you don't hit it on the sweet spot then it goes no where.
Pros: the bat had a bunch of pop right of the wrapper
Cons: bought one bat in april and the bat broke the first week we had it, just bats replaced that one with no issues but after about 2 months the replacement bat was coming apart at the connection piece. i had to send that bat to rawlings and the sent me a new bat. So far it's been a month with no issues, the third bats sounds different than the other 2 bats so hopefully it's good. this bat does have good pop
Pros: the best
Cons: nothing
Pros: Good
Cons:
Pros: Grip is nice, balanced swing, amazing sound when it hits the ball, the durability is very nice, overall one of the best bats I have ever had.
Cons: It took me a little bit to break it in.
Pros: Was good at first
Cons: Broke
Pros: Sounds beautiful. Good balance, handle is thin, looks great. It's a great stick but durability is a question mark.
Cons: After about a year of regular use, the point where the barrel meets the shaft developed a noise as though it was loosening. I sold it used at that point rather than continue to use it. It felt like it's days were numbered at that point and went with Meta for this season.
Pros: nice pop nice grips sounds nice
Cons: if you smoke a ball it will rub off on the bat and it will leave a white spot so gets dirty easily
Pros: Hits nice until it doesn't. You are lucky if bat doesn't break within weeks.
Cons: I originally purchased this bat for my 10 year son. He barely used it for 1 season and it was deemed a "dead" bat. We were under the 1 year warranty and received a new bat (after the season ended). Second season the new bat broke again (now age 11). Rawlings would not send a new replacement because per their warranty you only get 1 replacement from original purchase. For a bat costing over $300 for a 10-12 year old is ridiculous that you can't get a full season out of a bat. In my opinion Rawlings needs to stand by their product. They either need to recall this bat, update with warranty policy, or start making a quality bat. DO NOT PURCHASE unless you have money to burn.

About the Brand

Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
