Pros: I have had this bat for over a year and now It can still hit the ball far plus it has not broken yet and it is my favorite bat ever
Cons: None
Icon for my 7U player Michael Marsh Parent
Pros: That has nice pop nice grip big sweet spot
Cons: The weight is off almost 2 full ounces. It’s almost 2 full ounces heavier than listed
Great Bat Andrew Coach
Pros: My son is 8 yrs. old and is big for his age swinging a 28/18. Bat design looks fantastic. Has great pop/juice. Massive barrel and really big sweet spot. Has made it through an entire baseball season (Almost) with hitting some BP and Practice Swings. We did limit the amount of BP/Practice swings though. Forgiving sweet spot and barrel performance. Good backside juice on pitches where you get beat a little bit and good juice on slight miss hits.
Cons: Biggest CON was the grip is just so pencil thin. This may not be an issue for a smaller kid or kid with smaller hands, but my son likes a bit thicker handle and slightly larger taper than the bat comes with. The super thin handle "can" cause a hitter to lose a barrel the size of the ICON a bit. Bats does swing slightly end loaded (not dramatically). If your kid is going to break this bat in on their own, it is going to require at least 50 swings off the tee and 50 or so soft toss swings and potentially more than that depending on how hard your athlete hits. My son took that many swings to break it in at 55-60 MPH Exit Velos. Not sure if this is actually a CON as it shows the bat should have some durability.
Not a quality bat. Aaron Parent
Pros: No vibration and hits good.
Cons: It lasted almost 2 months before the end cap broke off and the grip lasted almost 2 months before peeling off. This is just 1 of 3 bats my 7 year old son uses. Don’t waste your money & the warranty department is always backed up and it’ll take over a month to get it back.

Just a boys bat Randal Christopher Player
Pros: From my 9 yr old. The bat feels real good in my hand and no more stinging when I hit the ball!
Cons: Do it use on heavy practice balls it will damage the bat.
2025 ICON Nicole Parent
Pros: Great pop, lightweight. My son is on the smaller side, and this is the perfect weight for him
Cons: It took a little to break it in.
Great bat Ernest Foret Coach
Pros: Good grip and swings great. He added some extra pop in his batting.
Cons: None
Same as last year Philnav1 Parent
Pros: Pop is insane, swing weight is balanced and looks great. This is the same bat as last year just repainted. My son heard it was more end loaded so he veered away from it and used a teammates’s 2025 Zen and had his sights set on buying on, however, I suggested he swing both in the store and after 30 mins he said the icon felt better and just like last year’s version. First hit was a triple and finished up 4 for 5 for the tournament.
Cons: Price keeps creeping up by$50 per year.
ICON B Dannheim Parent
Pros: We love this bat! -- He also has the Select PWR (the bat we started with) once we moved into travel ball we also got him an ICON. This bat has amazing pop! We haven't had it long enough to determine the durability of it, which is why he also continues to use the Select PWR to practice with & saves ICON for games.
Cons: Grip isn't my favorite, and undetermined on the durability.
Launchin em Thomas Parent
Pros: Balanced compared to his bone saber hybrid. He misses the sound of a metal barrel but he’s crushing balls with this one.
Cons: Grip could be better
Broken end cap Mark Parent
Pros: Good performance. Lots of pop.
Cons: Have used for hitting practice only and the end cap has broken Haven’t even used it in a game yet.
Very nice Andrew Parent
Pros: very nice feeling bat
Cons: Haven’t had it long enough to see how long it last

Pros: Nice handle and grip. Confidence inspiring barrel. Very hot and getting hotter. He prefers this over his HypeFire.
Cons: Everyone on the team begs to use it.
Great pop! Carl Coach
Pros: My son loves this well balanced bat. Loves more than the Hype Fire, ?? is barrel heavy which makes it less balanced. Hits it well and ball Jumps off the bat!
Cons: None

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
