From end cap to the knob, each bat is masterfully constructed out of Mizuno's propriety Black Onyx Carbon Composite material that provides a stiff feel and reduced energy loss on impact with a softball at higher pitch speeds. And while other one-piece designs tend to deliver unwanted negative feedback, Mizuno has utilized their Anti-Shock Construction in the taper to help reduce sting in the hands while providing season after season durability. Inside of the double wall barrel, the composite is angled in 10 specific zones to help create a massive sweet spot and a larger hitting surface. This innovative barrel design is labeled as the X-Zone barrel. This feature combined with cylinder seaming and an optimized end cap allows for consistent, powerful performance during each at bat.
