Mizuno constructs this bat with their top-quality Rock Hard Maple wood and even better, they compress the grains of the maple wood. By compressing the grains, Mizuno makes the surface of the barrel harder and if you connect well with a baseball on the barrel of this bat, it is going to go places...and it's going to get there quickly!
The 62 style of turn model is unique to specific Mizuno wood baseball bats. The big thing that will separate it from other wood bats out there is going to be the knob. The transition from the handle to the knob is going to be pretty traditional in its design. However, the knob itself is going to be very bulky. In fact, we believe it would be pretty hard to drape the pinky of your bottom hand onto the knob and maintain proper control of the bat. Because of that, we think it would be swung best if your bottom hand rested right above the knob. Holding the bat in this manner should allow for optimal control and contact hitters should really enjoy this bat. All of this being said, a power hitter who likes the feel of a balanced bat should be able to swing this maple bat too.
