add_circle_outlinePros: Extremly hot out the wrapper. First game we won 28-14 with our team hitting 12 homeruns. I went 4/5 with 2 homeruns. One was a tape measure shot the other was more impressive because it was a lazer never getting over 15 feet high. Awsome bat
add_circle_outlinePros: Best bat ever made. The Ball flies off the bat.Infielders will be afraid of the ball and outfielders wont run for it cause its alrerady over the fence. 8 games i have 6 homers on a 330 fence and clear it with ease.Im only 5'9 180
add_circle_outlinePros: Makes you feel like a steriod era power hitter, even on bad pitches. Our field's 300ft fences seemed like 200ft with this bat.If you can use it in your league,do it without any regrets...except..see below.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Bad cracked within a month of purchase, used it 3 or 4 times before it was toast. No warrenty says it all, enjoy it before it breaks.
add_circle_outlinePros: This Bat is AMAZING! Easily adds 20'-40' to my hits, and it's not even broken in yet!
Thin handle is great, swing weight feels good. If you play in a league that wil let you use this bat - BUY IT, if you don't BUY IT anyway as a "confidence booster" practice bat! "Bombs Away!"
remove_circle_outlineCons: I dislike the fact that it does not have an ISF, ASA or USSSA stamp on it! But after hitting with it - I understand why...
add_circle_outlinePros: Listen I play in a coed league and I used the bat for the first time and let my other teammates use this bat as well and it was nothing but a freaking homerun derby. OMG the other team could not understand how our girls were hitting shots and the guys were hitting it to the other diamond. It's a nice price and you get a bang for you buck. The Ultra II in my opinion is great.
remove_circle_outlineCons: It isn't ASA approved. :-(
add_circle_outlinePros: Very hot bat takes a little while to break in. Once it starts flexing ball jumps off the bat. Hit in warm weather only. If you are a gap hitter bat will last a long time. If you are a power hitter I agree with some of the reviews above about the bat breaking, I have hit some home runs in batting practice and I am not a home run hitter.I have about 300 cuts on my bat and it is going strong. I try to cut everything and not hit the center of the ball that might add more life to the bat.
add_circle_outlinePros: This Bat's name should be the Enola Gay. It is an aboslute Bomb Dropper. Mid-life Crisis? Get this bat and get your confidence back. Insane. I feel like it gives me 30 to 40 feet but I am much more willing to swing for the stars. Giving me 80 to 100 feet longer bombs. It's insane.
remove_circle_outlineCons: You might seriously maim someone if you hit a liner back to the pitcher. Don't do that.
add_circle_outlinePros: I have been using the Ultra II senior bat for Over 6 years, i purchase many ULTRA II senior bats....during the first 4 years, This was the BAT!!! the ball goes an extra 50 feet without any effort.
remove_circle_outlineCons: But over the last 2 years Miken Ultra II Senior bats tend to break more easily at the sweet spot, in addition, the performance level dropped dramatically.
I personally bought approximately 15 bats at $200 a pop...My team purchased over 300 of these. Not happy heard through the grapevine, Miken "quality control" has diminished or not taking them seriously...not worth buying them, unless they take these reviews seriously. Otherwise Bye Bye!!! Many senior leagues in Central Florida are switching over to the Reebok Melee senior bats..Miken you better improve or else...
add_circle_outlinePros: This is great bat, I really enjoy using it. It doese take a while to break in, but after that wwatch out. I sold my 27 oz & bought a 29 oz, I like the heaver bat, it's gives me better control. Hit a shot last night, will be using it this weekend in the Crabtwon Classis in Glen Bernie, Md.
add_circle_outlinePros: Great bat. Without bats like these the game would be boring. Any palyer who thinks this bat and others like it are an unacceptable danger to the players. Should consider changing their sport to something more in line with their abilities, such as golf or maybe cards. Maybe even start a new softball league and use very soft equipment. Please stop trying to destroy the game guys like me love.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Not as hot or durable as I would like it to be!
add_circle_outlinePros: Lots of pop out of the box. I went with the 30 oz. for more power and it was defiantely the right move. I have hit more over the fence in 2 games than I have all season last year.
remove_circle_outlineCons: The end cap doesn't sit flush with the barrel of the bat which gives it an "altered" appearance. No Warranty.
add_circle_outlinePros: this bat is amazing for durbys, seeing that it doesnt have any stamps, put out 15 of 20 on a 315 foot field, and half of those were almost 400ft shots... id rather this then my big league Krankinstine burby bat!
remove_circle_outlineCons: after about 350-400 hits i crushed the imprint of the ball into the bat, ill be buying another for next year though!
add_circle_outlinePros: Good pop, great feel. Decent sweet spot. I swing the 34/30 , but feels much lighter.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Last year after not playing slow pitch for over 25 years, I decided to play senior slow pitch softball. As I was just a novice player, I watched what many senior players where using, the Miken Ultra 11, seemed to be the bat of choice.
I live in the Northwest and of course the weather is a lot cooler here. My first Ultra bat had a factory defect and was sent back and replaced without charge. My second bat lasted about 4 months, my third bat lasted a month and the bat I just bought lasted I only a week and a half. No warranties,
RON JOHNSON, JERSEY JAGS 75+, MONKEY JOE 70+.
add_circle_outlinePros: PLAYED IN COLUMBUS, OHIO. SPA 75+. ONLY HIT I HOMERUN IN 6 GAMES, BUT IT WENT WELL OVER THE 300FT FENCE. PLAYERS FROM TEAMS WATCHING WERE IMPRESSED WITH THE DISTANCE, BEST BAT EVER MADE.
remove_circle_outlineCons: I HAVE HAD ALL THREE, THE GRAY, THE BLACK, AND THE RED. DURABILTY IS A PROBLEM. BROKE EVERY BLACK MIKEN (OVER TEN), THAT I'VE OWNED. THE RED LASTS THE LONGEST. I CAN LIVE WITH THIS, CAN YOU?
add_circle_outlinePros: This bat is out of this world. When i first got this bat it was to be a back up, i put about 60 hits on it in practices, and then the balls were flying , one of the shortstops said Know one is getting in front of your line drives, i dont have power just get lucky now and then yesterday i one hopped a 300 fence 4 times, i have the 26 oz and before spring leagues i will have the 27 oz and most likly buy a few more I HAVE FOUND THE ONLY BAT I NEED MIKEN ULTRA ll it really works
remove_circle_outlineCons: have not seen one let .
add_circle_outlinePros: Great pop out of the wrapper - our female players were hitting well into the outfield with this bat
remove_circle_outlineCons: The bat broke in half just above the handle with less than 100 hits while a female player was using it.
NO WARRANTY = Miken will not help you, even if the bat was a lemon/dud.
I recommend you stay away from this bat!
Best bat ever if you have lots of money to spend
add_circle_outlinePros: Fabulous distance and speed
Dangerous for infielders especially pitchers
good feel to handle
doesn't take much to break it in
remove_circle_outlineCons: This bat is incredible but it will break. First one lasted a season and a half but NEVER take BP with it or use it when under 60 degrees, next one lasted 6 games, last one lasted 6 games.
Too expensive for how fragile they are, thus best bat if you have lots of money to spend! Really depends on how important hitting long balls is to you.
add_circle_outlinePros: Just received my bat the day before my game. We were playing the second game, so we had no bating practice. I'm 69 and weigh 180 lbs. Went 4 for 5 with a new bat with no brake in time. First hit was a smash up the middle which took out are runner on second base. He stated the ball got there so fast he could not get out of the way. Nice power on my other 3 hits. Had a super day.
remove_circle_outlineCons: It was only one game, no cons.
Great bat to re-enter the game with!
add_circle_outlinePros: After a long time away from the game, I showed up for practice with a senior winter league team. Grabbed a friends' bat for BP, and with the first swing I was hitting smash line drives and 300+ flys. This was a really big deal, after no swings in a dozen years. The bat was a Miken Ultra II. Afterwards, I found out half the team had the same bat. Ordered one the next day. Short break in, tremendous pop out of the wrapper, and I'm hitting the ball harder than I did when I left the game.
add_circle_outlinePros: Just started playing with a senior league after a decade off. I needed new equipment, and swung a team mates' bat the first couple times out. A seasoned Ultra II. It felt great, well balanced, great pop, and I hit the ball harder and farther than when I left the game. It turns out that 8 of the guys on the team all swing an Ultra II. I made it 9.
remove_circle_outlineCons: None so far. As others have said, the bat swings well right out of the wrapper, but needs some more swings on it to match the one of my team mate. Could change to an overall 5 star in a couple weeks!
add_circle_outlinePros: Back into senior softball after a long absence. Heard the Miken 2 was the PRO bat to use. Found a used 29oz for a $100. I tried other bats but the Miken felt good and gave good distance. However, after a 3 month summer season & 3 times a week practice sessions the Miken broke like an egg. Now I hit hard but at 162 pounds I didn't think I hit THAT hard.
add_circle_outlinePros: Good feel, well balanced, good pop with nice sweet spot.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Two large cracks developed within three months and less than a hundred hits. I'm turning 70 this year and weigh in around 180...not a power hitter. Very disappointed in durability of Miken bat and am now having to shop for another $200 bat...it won't be a Miken.
add_circle_outlinePros: Solid feel of ball on bat. Play in a weekly non-sanctioned league. We use F12 Clinchers. Out of the gate, with just a few soft tosses to break in, the ball jumped off the bat in my first game, with solid contact on every at bat. Absolutely love the thin handle.
add_circle_outlinePros: Felt good right out of the wrapper but it kept getting a little better every time I hit. I bought the 28 oz. and the balance is great. I was out of the game for a while and this seems to let me pick up some of what I lost over the years.
remove_circle_outlineCons: I beefed up the grip, it was just a bit two thin for me.
The MSU2 is evenly balanced. The MSU2M will be endloaded with more of the weight distributed towards the end of the barrel.
Does the bat come with a fat handle also?
No, it only comes in the standard size handel.
Why does it crack?
This bat has a great amount of pop, the way the bat is constructed is to give it the highest amount of pop possible this also creates a little bit of a durability issue with the bat
I want to buy this for a gift. How do I know what weight to get? He is 5'6", 150 lbs. Senior, not a good hitter (but a great pitcher!).
The most common size bat for someone his size would be a 26-27 ounce weight. When he gets it, before he takes the wrapper off, have him swing it, if it isn't the right size you can send it back and we can exchange it. We offer free shipping back to us.
Will they ever have a bat this good to be approved for ASA?
Not as long as the ASA standards are set at where they are. If the standards are changed, then maybe they will.
What is the difference between the MSU2 & the MSU2M?
The MSU2M is end loaded which is preferred by power hitters. The MSU2 is a balanced bat.
What is the difference between the SPU2P and the MSU2?
The SPU2P is a special edition of the MSU2. There is not a difference between the two bats.
I have heard that these bats can easily break. Is that true and what is your experience with breakage?
Due to the single wall design of the Miken Ultra II Senior Softball: MSU2 Slow Pitch, it is more prone to breaking.
Does it come in an end loaded bat?
Yes, the Miken Ultra II Maxload Senior Softball is an end loaded bat.
Miken Ultra II Maxload Senior Softball: MSU2M Slow Pitch
Miken Ultra II Maxload Senior Softball: MSU2M Slow Pitch
Miken Ultra II Maxload Senior Softball: MSU2M Slow Pitch
I play senior softball and would like to have a suggested weight. I am 6 feet and about 184 lbs. and I hit the ball fairly hard.
We would recommend using a 34" 27 oz. Miken Ultra II.
Which bat is a longer hitter this one or the NXT freak Super Max SNXTMA? And is the 2011 Freak 700 the same as the NXT 2013?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball is the hottest bat on the market. The new NXT Freak uses newer technology than the FX700 Freak.
Is this bat approved in ISSA tournaments?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball is only approved for SSUSA, SPA, and LVSSA.
I have had two of these bats. The first was hot out of the box and after giving me much gratification, it finally broke. I had a second similar bat but after over a 100 hits it is very flat and has no pop. I've done better with traditional bats. A friend who is a student of hitting and bats says he heard that there may have been a batch of these bats that were substandard. I'd like your input about this before I purchase another bat.
I have not heard anything about a bad shipment of the Miken Ultra II Senior Softball: MSU2 Slow Pitch bats. But we will keep our ears open. Typically, these are very high performing.
I am 60 years old and 6 ft. 210 lbs. Would you recommend this bat or the new 750X Maxload?
Deciding between these two bats really depends on your preference to swing weight and what certifications your league requires. This Miken Ultra II Senior Softball: MSU2 Slow Pitch bat has a more balanced swing weight than the 750X Maxload, has a BPF of 1.21, and is only approved in Senior Softball leagues.
Why did Miken go to a 1.21 BPF on the Ultra 11's. I have one that was a 1.20 just curious for the change?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball: MSU2 Slow Pitch bat will be 1.21 BPF to certify that it is legal for Senior Softball.
Are these bats as balanced as the BBCOR bats like the Rawlings VELO or the Easton S1?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball (MSU2) is a balanced bat like the Rawlings VELO or the Easton S1.
Time for a new bat. What is difference between Ultra II MSU2 and Ultra 750X Balanced? Which one is better for an average hitter (I'm not a long ball hitter)? I have an old Ultra II MSU2 (4 yrs old).
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball (MSU2 Slow Pitch) will have a 13.5" barrel length, no warranty, and be one-piece full composite in design. It is approved for Senior Softball and not ASA or USSSA. The 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Balanced ASA (UL75BA Slow Pitch) will not be approved for Senior Softball and only be certified for ASA play. It has a 12 month warranty from Miken and will swing very balanced. Both will have incredible pop and performance.
Are these bats for average sized hitters? How does the ball react off these bats? What would you recommend 1 or 2 piece bat? I am 5'9" and 165 lbs. I am not a power hitter.
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball (MSU2) is one of the hottest bats you can buy. It features a nice, balanced swing which is well suited for contact hitters. The two-piece design will help reduce vibration during contact.
I am recently getting back into softball in a senior league. I have not played in 12 years. The bat I used to use was the TPS Chrome Dome which is illegal now. I'm 6'4" and still swing with a lot of power but noticed the bats I'm buying at the local sports stores don't have the pop of my old bats. What's a good bat for playing now a days?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball: MSU2 Slow Pitch is one of the hottest bats on the market right now, and should provide as good of pop if not better than nearly any bat available for Senior League Softball.
Why not a warranty of some type? If not, Miken is really selling an inferior product just to make money. I had a Miken but it cracked, I guess I have to make up my mind to buy a bat from a company that's stands behind its product. I loved that bat.
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball (MSU2 Slow Pitch) does not come with a warranty. I believe that is due to how they create the Senior Softball bat. These bats are very high performing. Here is Miken's number if you'd like to ask them about a warranty issue: 1-877-807-5291.
Do you have to break in the Miken Ultra ll MSU2? If so, how many hits? Also will it help keeping it in a bat warmer?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball (MSU2) will require a minimal break-in period of about 25 hits or so while rotating the barrel. Keeping the bat in a bat warmer may help the composite fibers to stay loser but the difference would be slight.
Is this bat fully loaded?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Softball (MSU2) Slow Pitch bat features a balanced swing weight. The (ULTTOC-UII) would offer the same design, but a half ounce end load at the end of its barrel.
I am an average hitter without much power. Will this bat give me some added power?
It should. The balanced swing weight of the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) should allow you to reach higher swing speeds which would be the key to power. And this model is also rated with the BPF 1.21 performance stamp, so it's one of the highest-performing bats available.
I want to get the two-piece Ultra II. I would would like to know which option to choose. I am a singles hitter, over 70, 5'9" and weigh 175 lbs. Should I get a 26 oz. or 27 oz.?
At your height and weight, the 26 oz. Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 would be the way to go.
I have a Miken Ultra II bat with ASA stamp on it year 2000 with BPF 1.20. Have been using this bat for many years with excellent results. I purchased 4 latest models with BPF 1.21 and one already cracked. Is there any different in both bats other tan the BPF? Is the composite the same?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch (MSU2) will feature the senior softball, 1.21 BPF rating. The 1.21 BPF will offer better performance than the 1.20 BPF that was on your previous bat, and because of the higher performance, 1.21 BPF bats will not be as durable as previous models. The composite materials will be slightly different than the model you previously used due to upgrades over the years in composite technology.
Does this bat come in different colors?
This specific Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) will only be offered in the black color (with red writing) at JustBats. We have other Ultra II options in different colors, but they will not provide the same single-piece, balanced feel as this bat.

The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) is approved for usage with the .52 COR 300 Compression Softballs.
What is the difference between a 1.21 bat and a bat stamped 1.20?
The barrel walls on a bat stamped with a 1.21 BPF USSSA stamp like the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) will be thinner and allow for more trampoline affect and batted ball speed than on the more regulated 1.20 BPF bats.
Can this bat be used below 60 degrees?
We do not recommend using the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) or for that matter an bat much below 55 degrees. At those temperatures the baseball or softball becomes harder and denser and the bats are not designed to handle the denser ball potentially causing damage to the barrel.
I used to swing the ultra II 30 oz. everyone started using end loaded bats so I changed to a 28 oz end load. I hit the ball hard still but I don't get the same lift. More hard line drives but fewer home runs. Is there a reason for this. Should I stay with the balanced?
If you saw your best performance with this Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) in the 30 oz weight, then I would recommend going with this type of model again. This exact model of the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) will be a balanced model of bat. I would not be able to comment as to exactly why the balanced models have worked better for you in regard to getting more lift on the ball, but I would recommend staying with that a balanced if you see the most performance. I think this MSU2 will be excellent for you!
1.20 is a better bat than 1.21?
BPF 1.21 Certified is the certification that is required for Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bats such as this Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2. That does not necessarily mean that one is better than the other.

Is this bat end loaded or balanced? How does it compare to the Ultra II Black Big Cat?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) is a balanced bat. In comparison to the 2016 Miken Ultra II Black Balanced Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (U2BLKB) is is pretty different. The MSU2 is a one piece composite bat while the U2BLKB is going to be a 2 piece composite bat. The 2 piece will offer a little more flex while the one piece offers a more traditional feel. Neither has an inherited advantage over the other and whether somebody liked one over the other is going to be all personal preference.

Will an Ultra 2 senior bat be damaged by using it in a batting cage ?
Unfortunately, any bat, including the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2, can be damaged if used to hit the rubber dimple balls that are often used in batting cages, as they are more dense than regular softballs.
Is the bat balanced or end loaded? If you guys carry both how can I choose which one I want?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 features a balanced swing weight. If you are more of a power hitter, and wanting to go with an end loaded option, you might want to check out the
2016 Miken Ultra II Black Maxload Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: U2BLKM.
Does this bat come with a warranty?
This Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MSU2) does not feature any warranty period.
I know it says it has a balanced swing weight but what would be the weight to length ratio on this bat? -3,-5-,-8,-9,-10,-11,-13?
Since the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 and all slow pitch softball bats that we have only come in a 34" the length to weight ratio will be different for every weight. If you got a 26 oz. it would be a -12 but if you got a 27 oz. then it would be a -11 oz.

Is this bat end loaded?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 is a one-piece balanced bat.
I had a 1.20 Miken Ultra 2 and cracked it recently. Is the 1.21 version as good as the 1.20? Also, decent power hitter: end loaded or balanced? If end loaded what is the recommended Ultra 2?
The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 is a great bat to get if seeking a Senior Slow Pitch model. All Senior Slow Pitch bats will feature the BPF 1.21 stamp but they are not approved for ASA or USSSA play. As well, Senior Slow Pitch bats will not feature a warranty from the manufacturer. If the hitter is more of a power hitter or stronger then an end-loaded bat would be more ideal. Before moving forward, would recommend checking on what certification your bat needs to feature per your league rules.
Is this bat balanced or end loaded? I prefer balanced.
The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 is a balanced model.
Looking for an End-Loaded Bat.
The Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 features a balanced swing weight. I would recommend taking a look at the 2017 Miken Freak Patriot Maxload Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MPTRSS if you want an end-loaded bat. This bat features a .5 ounce end-load. If you want a full ounce end-load, I would consider the 2018 Miken Freak 20th Anniversary Big Cat SuperMax Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: M20SSS.
I was wondering if it would be possible to trade this bat in? I wasn't aware that the league I just joined doesn't allow the use of this bat.
Unfortunately the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 is not a bat currently on our bat trade-in program.
Is there an Ultra 2 black out bat that is a 2 piece?
There are a few Miken Ultra II maxloads still available throughout the internet, but unfortunately we do not have any. Furthermore I am unaware of any blackout edition, in a two-piece construction, that would be similar to this Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2.
What is considered to be the 2018 hottest hitting ASA bat?
I would not say there is a unanimous choice for the hottest ASA bat on the market. Unfortunately, this Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 is a Senior Slow Pitch Bat and would not be allowed for use in ASA play. If you were looking for an ASA bat, I would recommend looking at the 2018 Miken DC-41 SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MDC17A.
How should I determine what weight of bat to order?
Bat weight will vary from player to player. The best method would be to find someone with the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2 or a similar model and swing their bat and adjust from there.
I'm 66 years old in good shape and just started back playing slow pitch softball. I'm not a big hitter and need a bat that can give me some power at the plate. Not sure what bat I should use.
When playing at the senior level of softball, it would be hard to suggest anything better than the Miken Ultra II Senior Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MSU2. It's been our most popular senior slow pitch model, and one of the most requested bats out there.

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.
Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.
The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.

Our batting gloves are made from Cabretta Sheepskin leather for optimal flexibility and comfort. The mesh backing around the knuckles allows you to move and flex your fingers freely without adding stress to the leather. This not only allows for a better grip on the bat, but it also makes the gloves more durable as it eliminates much of the stress on the leather that can cause tears. The mesh is also vented to allow moisture and heat to be directed away from the fingers, never compromising your grip on the bat. The palm of the batting glove is constructed of premium grade sheepskin leather. This leather gives a great grip while maintaining it's flexibility. The JustBats.com Batting Glove was designed with you, the player, in mind. Free Shipping!
