Description

New for It's time to step your game up to the NeXT level. The Miken NXT Freak is the bat that's going to take you there. By combining the most advanced layering handle system on the market with Miken's new HBF Technology, the NXT Freak is clearly a cut above the competition. HBF, or Hyperbolic Barrel Flex, Technology allows the multi-layer walls of the NXT Freak to become "fully released" for hot out of the wrapper performance! The proprietary layering of these walls extends the barrel flex to produce a 20% larger sweetspot. Vortex Handle Technology also uses multiple layers, and harnesses the power of composite braids to distribute the load evenly and increase the bat's strength. This also helps all layers move seamlessly together for optimal flex and performance. The whole bat is made from Miken's classic R900 Composite that has proven year after year that it is capable of enduring grueling play and delivering unrivaled performance. Enhancing the NXT Freak's durability even further is Miken's proprietary Durashell Technology (DST). DST acts as a composite shield on the outer shell to maximize out of the wrapper performance and overall bat longevity. An Extreme X-Tack Grip finishes off the NXT Freak to give players the comfort and tack they would expect from a bat this phenomenal. Miken: We Don't Play the Game, We Dominate It! The NXT Freak is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This bat has excellent recoil. It is my second Miken and the 3rd one our family owns. One cracked and Miken stood behind their product which makes us loyal Miken customers!

How does this bat compare to the Xeno or CF5? Just curious to hear your thoughts Coach
The CF5 will offer the most flex out of the three followed by the Xeno and Freak. If you're a power hitter the Freak will probably be the best option. If you're a contact hitter, the CF5 would probably be the best. If you're a little of both, the Xeno would be a great choice. All 3 have great pop.

My daughter uses a Miken MV-3 32/22, I think. We are looking at a new Miken NXT but in a 34/24. She is a power hitter at age 12 she stands 5' 6". Do you think that bat will be too long or do you think it will work as she get older. Thank you. Jason
Based on her age and height we recommend a 32" bat. A 34" is best suited for a high school player.

How does it compare to the 2013 Miken Triad 3 FPTD10 -10 oz.? SAMMA
The 2013 Miken NXT Freak (FPNX10) features a composite design and balanced swing weight, similar to the Miken Triad 3 (FPTD10). It also features a one-piece design, so it will feel stiffer and allow less flex when the ball makes contact with the barrel. The Triad 3 features a two-piece design, which is preferred by contact hitters. The two-piece design allows for a little more flex. Both are very high performing bats.

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
