Great Bat! Jeff Thomas player

Pros: Great POP, We use the Trump Rock 52/300 softballs in our Senior league and this bat performs extremely well with this restricted flight ball. Very little break in time and when it is, it crushes the 52/300.

Cons: Too expensive.

See Ya! Ty K player

Pros: bat has a great feel, and an enormous/forgiving sweetspot. even when i hit off the end of the barrel it still goes 250ft + with no negative feedback. like the sound as well.

Cons: i play in a homerun limited league ( you can only have 3 more hr's than the opposing team) and sometimes its hard to keep the ball in the yard lol, plus everyone wants to use it...including the other team

Great Bat Josh player

Pros: Lots of pop - huge hits first time out. Guys that usually aren't big hitters putting the balls in the warning track and beyond.

Cons: First time with an end loaded bat -but I can feel the weight at the end of bat and a little vibration when hitting the ball. Not a huge concern.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Miken Freak Platinum Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: FKPTMA? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I'm interested in this bat however I'm not familiar with "Four Piece" technology. What exactly is the difference here? Gamble
The "four-piece" design with regards to the 2017 Miken Freak Platinum Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: FKPTMA refers to the knob, handle, barrel and end cap. There will not be multiple connection points on the bat; just the one that connects the handle and barrel (the green piece shown in the pic). The look and feel will still be similar to that of a "two-piece" bat.
Cameron
Is the handle stiff? yeti
The 2017 Miken Freak Platinum Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: FKPTMA is a two-piece fully composite bat. The handle is stiffer than most composite handles, but not quite as stiff as an alloy handle bat.
Jason
I need a bat that has a BPF of 1.20 or less. Does this bat qualify? Tim L Steltz
Yes, this 2017 Miken Freak Platinum Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (FKPTMA) will have ASA certification. ASA certified bats will have a performance level below the BPF 1.20 standard. It should be good for use for you.
Ben
What do you think is the best ASA Miken bat for a .52 cor 300 Ball? Chris
I would recommend the 2017 Miken Freak Platinum Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (FKPTMA) for .52 Cor 300 Balls.
Carter
Will this bat be good for 44/375 balls? herbie414
The 2017 Miken Freak Platinum Maxload ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: FKPTMA will perform very well with the .44/375 balls. However, any bat with the newest ASA certification is technically designed for the .52/300 balls. You run a risk of durability issues using any ASA bat that is not certified with the 2004 ASA certification with the .44/375 balls.
Jason

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
