Miken Freak Gold 12" Maxload USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MGD21U
This slow pitch bat from Miken will carry on the tradition of the Freak bats, but with some Gold frills to it!
Miken has built this limited edition Freak Gold with some very noticeable Miken tech features! First off, the bat will be crafted with the C4 Composite material that takes advantage of the most efficient fiber angling to allow for top performance. And to support that material, Miken adds the E-Flex 360 tech that will ensure all sides of the barrel can contact a softball and send it flying.
The Freak Gold will display a 1/2 oz end-load (Miken calls it their Maxload). Typically, bats with end loads are going to be recommended for power hitters. That being said, if you have been a contact hitter in the past and were wanting a bat to try and help you develop some extra power, this bat would not be a bad selection to make. Since the barrel load is only slight, it shouldn't be overwhelming to swing.
Lastly, Miken has put the smaller A1 knob on this Freak. It should be easy for a batter to lay their bottom finger[s] over the knob and essentially lengthen the bat a little bit. This should give the batter a little more leverage if they wish to swing the Freak Gold in that manner.
Miken is willing to offer a twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty on this bat. If you have purchased the bat from us and notice a defect on the bat within that original 12 month time period, please reach out to our Bat Experts. They will be happy to get you all the information needed to reach out to Miken to begin the warranty replacement process.
An important thing to remember is that Miken will refuse a bat back for a warranty replacement if it does not have the original serial sticker with it. Because of that, be sure that you save the serial sticker that comes on the bat’s taper when it is first delivered.

About the Brand
During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.
Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.
The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
