Marucci CATX BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCBCX
Become an "X-Factor" in your lineup with the help of the CATX BBCOR Baseball Bat... the latest and greatest from Marucci's famous Cat Series!
Bat Benefits
Cat Bats have dominated the baseball bat scene throughout the past decade and Marucci anticipates keeping it that way with the CatX! Although it might seem tough to find any room for improvement from previous models, the CatX includes a few new features that will take your game to the next level!
First and foremost, the Marucci has completely re-shaped the AZR Alloy barrel profile of the CatX to offer a much more balanced swing weight with a wider sweet spot and a more forgiving barrel. Secondly, the CatX will be equipped with a Liquid-Gel Dampening Knob, Marucci's newest anti-vibration technology, which situates a precise amount of clear liquid gel into the knob to dissipate vibrations and sting. In addition, the CatX will also have new custom-sized handle tapers for a more ergonomic fit and improved bat control
When you take these new features and combine them with Marucci's battle-proven AZR Alloy & Multi-Variable Wall design, you get one insanely hot bat that is built to last!
Warranty
Marucci offers a twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty on the bat. If you purchase the bat from JustBats and sense that something is wrong with the bat within 12 months from the purchase, please reach out to our Bat Experts. They will be able to get you set up with the info and materials to send the bat to Marucci for a replacement bat

Pros: Super balanced and amazing pop... definitely better than the past Marucci BBCOR's.
Cons: none so far
Pros: Every thing is awsome
Cons: None
Pros: Feels just like the voodoo one almost to a T. Light and wips through the zone. The handle feels slightly better on the catx than the voodoo cause of the larger taper.
Cons: Paint chips easily which kinda sucks because its a gorgeous bat. But if your playing baseball the bat is going to get some abuse so no biggy really.
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Not a dang thing
Pros: Swing weight is perfect. Great pop. Nice taper to the grip. Feels incredible. Best BBCOR bat on the market in my opinion right now.
Cons: None
Pros: Amazing pop, good sweet spot, very comfy on the hands, SUPER light
Cons: None
Pros: All of these questions are a little early but so far my son loves the new cat X. He says it feels as good as his old voodoo one bats, has better feel on mishits, seems a little more forgiving off sweetspot!
Cons: Price... started with the one piece bats for feel, they were in the 250 - 260 range then (lst 4 yrs) so , yeah, priced a little high
Pros: Hits nuke perfect for first bbcor bat
Cons: none
Pros: Huge Pop, Great Swing Weight, Bat Bros Endorsed!!
Cons: Na
Pros: No sting whatsoever. Exit velo is good. After some initial contact the ball will end up farther out than you’d expect. Haven’t yet been able to use the CatX in a game yet but in the cages and in practice it’s showing a lot of promise already.
Cons: Had to replace the banned Stinger Missile 2 bat and the CatX IMO isn’t quite as good compared but it’s darn close. Pop and exit velo seem to be just a hair short of what the Missile 2 was doing, hence, may be why it was banned. Stinger told us they’d be sending us the Missile 3 warranty replacement for the Missile 2 in November. The CatX and Missile 3 should be the only bats we’ll need to carry us through the next four years in high school hopefully. Oh, and in the Bat Bros video review they talk about the CatX being just as light as the Voodoo One but we all think it has a slightly heavier end load than the Voodoo.
Pros: My freshman son has always preferred Marucci since he started with an old Marucci One in 10u to last year of youth ball when he destroyed the ball with his Cat 9 connect. We bought several used and new bbcor bats to find the right fit for him. He is 5'11" and 145 lbs lefty with a strong lower half but he is lanky. He creates excellent whip with very quick hands. Most of the bats we tried were a bit too end loaded. Surprisingly he preferred his wood Breat Bros mm110 to his other bbcor bats and was killing it in fall practice. We got to handle a new Cat X at a local store and realized the barrel profile is very much like that 110 turn model. Just a few days hitting with the Cat X and he is destroying the ball with super quick hands to all fields.
Cons: It is very very loud when barreling up the ball but not sure if that is a negative. You instantly know if you hit the ball hard in classic Marucci PING!!!
Pros: Everything except a little vibration which obviously comes with alloy and paint chipping soon.
Cons: A little vibration which obviously comes with alloy and paint chipping soon.
Pros: Great feel when swinging. The sweet spot does seem bigger than the voodoo one. Best of all the durability seems very good. After the experience we had with the voodoo breaking in one game use, it's hard to go back to it with this out. Even the new voodoo is having issues. Buy this bat. U won't regret it!
Cons: Slight vibration when on the hands, but that is with any bat. This one does seem better about keeping the vibration to a minimum. It is alloy after all.
Pros: this bat is very very goof but if you usually swing a 33 It will feel like a 31 or 32 very light bat huge difference in swing weight. that being said the 33.5 and the 34 are the best sizes for this bat, these are what high level players in college should be swinging.
Cons: 32 and 33 inch feels like a toothpick and It doesn't hit the baseball the same like the bigger versions of this bat
Pros: Everything
Cons: none
Pros: Outstanding pop off the bat, lightweight and easy to swing. Amazing sweet spot and very forgiving ! This bat will not disappoint.
Cons: High Priced.
Pros: Really great bat has lots of pop and easy bat control
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Super light weight so any player can use it well, pretty big sweet spot for a one piece alloy, has pretty freakin good juice for how light it is, durability is very good, handle taper is excellent, this bat is completely different from all the other cats that have been released
Cons: The price
Pros: -great on miss hits -pop off the bat is amazing -great feeling after and before contact -grip is great with the taper - overall: amazing bat! beats out the voodoo one by a good margin
Cons: -very loud after great contact, but you know that you squared the ball up -expensive for a one piece
Pros: all
Cons: none
Pros: None
Cons: Everything about it
Pros: Big pop
Cons: Break easy
Pros: Swings light, but that's only a pro if that fits your swing (AKA you're not strong enough to swing a Cat 9)
Cons: SUPER small barrel, bat tapers down to 2.5 or 2.25" really quick, making it super easy to pop up or drill down. You really need to square up the barrel to hit a line drive. TBH the old Cat 8/9 was easier to find barrel with.
Pros: This thing BANGS. The taper is elite and it feels great. Haven't used it too much so will update on durability but this is elite.
Cons: None so far
Pros: Right out of the box this bat was absolutely incredible
Cons: Don’t like the grip
Pros: My son has played with Marucci Cat 8, 9, Pasttime 9 and now the Cat 10. Great right out of wrapper. Bigger sweet spot and a notch better power and trampoline than the Cat 9. Great Bat! Went up from 32 to 32.5 without any problem. Says it swings lighter and hits with more power than Cat 9.
Cons: None
Pros: Balanced Feel Hit PR on Exit Velocity in First Week Price compared to two piece or composite
Cons: Not completely Broken In yet
Pros: every thing is good, the pop is so good and I just love the bat.
Cons: none
Pros: This thing is hot. I love it. The taper feels great and it whips through the zone like butter. All the pop and bat speed advantages of a one piece and it also doesn't kill your hands off the end or when you get jammed.
Cons: The grip is starting to come undone. It feels great but I wish it would've stayed on. I'll probably switch to lizard skins or bruce bolt grip soon.
Pros: Looks awesome
Cons: What good is a bat if you only get 10 swings out it? I switched to Marucci because all the issues with Demarini. Can someone please make a good bad??
Pros: Bought the Cat X BBCOR bat for each of my grandson's playing 13U travel baseball. Both love the feel of the bat and the pop it has.
Cons: No cons as of yet.
Pros: Awesome weight, feel, response, performance.
Cons: It’s white.
Pros: I had swung the voodoo one before this and... the knob fell off :(. I got this and... wow. It feels like swinging a sword it's so light. For such a light bat it had some good pop. And on mis-hits, there's like no feedback and it still goes really far. The taper is also fantastic. It feels amazing.
Cons: Voodoo one had more pop
Pros: amazing
Cons: nothing
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very bad grip Uncomfortable No pop
Pros: Great balance and great pop
Cons: None
Pros: Great bat- all around, just awesome.
Cons: None
Pros: Very lightweight, great for contact hitters, and makes swinging a lot easier
Cons: A lot, of paint, chips off in the first month, and has no feedback. NOT FOR POWER HITTERS! This bad has negative pop and does not get the job done. The atlas is a thousand times better.
Pros: Bat hits nukes. Feels great when you make solid contact. Cannot feel anything when getting jammed.
Cons: The grip started to twist off within two days of using it.
Pros: Has no vibratio really light
Cons: 379 99
Pros: Looks feel everything easy to swing for junior high kids
Cons: None
Pros: THIS BAT HITS BOMBS i am 5'8 202 and in 7th grade playing varsity i get no playing time and coach said i can get one at bat and i chose my 33 cat x and i went up and hit a pss misssle and got a doublr. this bagt launches..
Cons: paint chips
Pros: Solid durable one piece. Swings light. Son has always hit Demarini 2 piece bats but he tried this one and hasn't looked back. consistently driving the ball to or over the fence as a HS freshman.
Cons: none yet
Pros: Grandson loves this bat. Have only had it for a couple weeks so can’t comment on durability
Cons: Can’t think of anything
Pros: Pop, Sound, feel, gives a batter confidence After coming from a 2 piece Demarini & Victus to a 33" Cat-X, Kid hit 3 HR and top of the fence twice first HS season. Cannot pry it out of his hands...His favorite of all time.
Cons: Grip durability
Pros: The design looks great, it feels good in your hands, & it has a lot of pop. My 14 yrs old son loves it, so far he has hit a triple & 2 double. Few of my son’s All Star teammates seems to like it as well.
Cons: None so far. We only have it for 1 month. Time will tell.
Pros: My son is switching back to Marucci after a few years. He tried out both the CATX one-piece and the Connect. He hit well with both in BP but liked the feel of the one-piece. He loves the balanced feel. Only time will tell how everything translates to performance in a game, because it depends largely on the player and what he does with the bat. Would also recommend the Bat Program as you can't beat it. Gives you the freedom to try it for 30 days.
Cons: Nothing so far to report as he has only used it in BP a couple of times.
Pros: Awesome bat and good bat control very light as well and lots of pop
Cons: The bat is really good but for some reason I started doing bad with it but that was because for me I needed a heavier bat so I went with the select pwr but the cat x is also very loud but it’s Marucci so what do you expect, but over all the great bad for contact hitters or people who like light bats!
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing
Pros: Well balanced, huge sweet spot, and tons of "pop". Great bat for youths all the way to college ball.
Cons: Expensive but worth it overall
Pros: Excellent weight balance. Surprising pop for a BBCOR!
Cons: None so far.
Pros: bat feels amazing! I had a hybrid for a little bit and never wanted to go back to a one-piece because of vibration but I have not felt anything! I've hit multiple balls off the very end and on the handle and didn't feel a thing. I'm small (5'9 120lbs) and this bat feels perfect, super light, and easy to swing. the handle feels amazing; love the taper and grip.
Cons: paint chips really easily but hey if it doesn't mess with the performance I'm fine with it.
Pros: Light Swinging Great Sweet Spot Great Feel Great Pop
Cons: None
Pros: It doesn't hurt when you hit the ball on the hands.
Cons: not the best felling bat but it feels good.
Pros: Tons of pop, very light swing weight and still feels balanced. Great taper
Cons: Bat grip ripped up easily.
Pros: Well Balanced Bat. Good Pop. Low Vibration.
Cons: Cost
Pros: I got this bat to be my first bbcor bat and it has been my bat for almost a year and I love it
Cons: Slight vibration if u hit the ball off the hands but other than that it's an amazing bat
Pros: hits nukes
Cons: dies in less than a yaer
Pros: Light swinging Amazing Pop Nice Grip tape Great for contact hitters Requires little to no breaking in
Cons: Paint chips There are better bats for Power Hitters Very Pricy
Pros: Awesome bat and it can hit well beutiful ring but definetly recomend for older and stronger player
Cons: Not for everyone and not as all around as the voodoo or bomesaber but if u can handle it and know the sweet spot in my opinion it will hit farther then both of those bats and change the grip the red lizzard made it pop visualy
Pros: The bat has a TON of pop. If you hit the sweet spot the ball is going to travel, it is also super light which allows you to whip through the zone a lot quicker than most bats. With that being said that can lead to the cons.
Cons: Since the bat is super light, the sweet spot on this thing is SMALL. Even on good hit balls still feel feedback. In order to get that nice satisfying feeling of smoking a ball and not feeling any feedback, you have to time the ball up real well or you are going to feel every ball.
Pros: Bat has served us well this past season. We were looking for a balanced bat that doesn't kill your hands on miss hits, has a decent barrel that will reward you when barrel up the ball and that it does succeed at that. My only gripe is that this bat should not be over three hundred dollars!
Cons: Over priced.
Pros: It’s goated
Cons: The bat gets dirty
