325 to 350 foot bombs! Ben Leavell Player

Pros: Yeah, I’m 59 years old and I know quality when I see it. Played for Worth Sports Advisory Team in the 80s. PST bat. Even swag the Louisville slugger Inertia

Cons: Still rocking! Out of the rapper! 300 plus shots! No cons!

Great bats Thadster Player

Pros: Crushes Classic M's, 44's and good distance with 52's. Break in time was minimal. If you manage to miss the huge sweet spot it doesn't ring your hands.

Cons: The end load is massive can reek havoc on swing. I would recommend going down a bat size, I have a 26.5 wish I had a 25.5 so I could pepper the field.

2 Rounds of BP Dan Brown Jr Player

Pros: Easy to get through the zone, sweet spot feels larger than most, and bat has some pop out of the wrapper. It'll probably only take about 100 swings to really get it broken in, but so far the feel, sound, and pop has been great.

Cons: Some people might not like the triangle grip, but I love it.

All reviews aren’t equal Clean up Hitter Player

Pros: It’s a cute bat.

Cons: I have put 200-300 swings on this bat and still it shows no signs of pop or breaking in. The bat has a different sound when the ball comes off the bat. Everyone writing reviews saying how great every bat is sets so many consumers up. If you are looking for pop or line drives... this is NOT the bat. I hit clean up on all of my teams and this bat was a waste of my money. It’ll be a 150 dollar batting cage bat now ??.

Every bat isn’t hot out the wrapper reviewers!!! R. Quick Player

Pros: The bat is pink. Some women love it. Cute design.

Cons: No pop. Sounds weird. Too many people writing post to be reviews and getting other people to waste their money. 200 swings on it and it’s still not broken in and shows no sign of carry or distance. Literally a BP bat at this point. Was never a gamer and it never will be. Oh I hit clean up on all my teams and played D1. So the folks hitting 675 feet off the end cap with this bat … stop lying it’s costing people money and wasting their time. Negative reviews are allowed. All Bats aren’t equal. It’s ok!!!!

Pros: Only been able to use it in one game went (3 for 4) all singles. I like the feel of the bat and no sting in the handle. Hope to get many more hits out of it.

Cons: Would like a larger in size on the handle grip had to add bat tape on the handle.

Another Good One From Louisville Christian Coach

Pros: Bat took no time at all to break in, it has a huge sweet spot. I love the pink color combination, it’s definitely draws some attention, it’s super durable. The end load feels good.

Cons: Triangle grip can be weird for some, I personally don’t mind it, though I do prefer a thicker grip tape.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
