Usssa Solo Gary Hughes Parent
Pros: Great one piece design for those hitters that need solid contact surface. Feels lighter then drop 10.
Cons: Beautiful bat. But son dropped once and paint chipped pretty easily.
Solo Gary Hughes Parent
Pros: My son son loves the feel and the sound. Every hit sounds solid.
Cons: I should of bought 1 inch longer
Great bat Rob Parent
Pros: My son just turned 8 and has hit many over the fence with this bat.Great bat great sound very light .Well worth the money

Balanced and Powerful TL Coach
Pros: Very well balanced. Very nice grip. Nice looking bat but don’t sleep in the amount of pop this bat has. Give it 50-75 good swings and look out.
Cons: After 7 weeks and about 800 + swings there are no cons. This is the bat for $199.99
Great bat so far! Mark Parent
Pros: Bought this bat for my 12 year old son. He’s only used it for indoor workouts so far but says it feels great and has great pop. Time will tell on durability but I’m sure it will be great!
Cons: None as of yet.
very impressed Ken Coach
Pros: Happy with the balanced weight and feeling of the bat. Son is much quicker through the zone with this bat than is old one. Bat has great pop. Generating higher exit velo and distance with bat on the HIt Trax.
Cons: none
Solo 619 Darrin Parent
Pros: Great pop , good balance. Son hit first ever home run in the first game of use. Sounds much better then composite
Cons: Haven't found any yet
First tournament dents Chad Coach
Pros: Bat is solid in hand no vibration.
Cons: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Tournament, Six games on the bat and about another 30 mins of soft toss BP with regular baseballs. Bat has no less than 10 dents, and one surface is almost flat. All games played on turf field, so this is all caused by hitting .Very thin walled and light bat, but it should still survive hitting baseballs and it did NOT. Sending bat back to L/S, very dissapointed.

Pros: great pop

Great Buy!! Rich Parent
Pros: First off, I am a big believer that its not the arrow, its the indian. That being said, If you have a good contact hitter like my son, you will love this bat. This bat has the kind of pop that turns singles into doubles and doubles into triples. My son is not a home run hitter but line drives are very common with the help of this bat. This is our second Solo. 618 and 619. Both have a ton of pop. Great value for what you get. I would recommend this bat all day.
Cons: My son was not a fan of the grip. Replaced the grip and all is good.
Balanced youth bat Dan Parent
Pros: Balanced and lightweight feel
Cons: Paint easily chips
Too early to tell Ryan Coach
Pros: Very well balanced... I would say it is comparable to the CAT 8. Doesn’t have as good of a sound as the CAT8 but very similar pop. Can’t really comment on durability due to only owning it 2 weeks. But after two practices and a few soft toss sessions in the shed my son is very happy with it. He hasn’t complained about any vibration. He also says the grip is awesome.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Louisville Slugger Solo 28” -10 John Other
Pros: Wow, this bat has same pop as the Cat 7 and Voodoo. My grandson loves it. He has hit around 500 balls and so far no dents, no paint chips. Seems very durable. Also, it is extremely balanced, seems lighter than it actually is. I know all the rage is DeMarini and Marucci but this slugger is just as good and $30.00 to $40.00 cheaper. I bought it on sale for under $150.00. What a steal.

That Pop!! Michael Butler Parent
Pros: The weight of the bat The Pop of the bat Clean look of the bat
Cons: None so far. Just got the bat on 9-19-19
That Pop Michael Parent
Pros: The color The weight The Pop
Cons: None at all
A bit disappointing DUB Parent
Pros: The weight and balance is great, my 10yr old handles the bat well. He's only had cage work so I can't get a feel for pop.
Cons: Probably made a mistake on buying a drop 10, doesn't seem to have enough metal to keep vibration down on off center hits. If I had the chance to do it again I would have bought a drop 8.
Solid Thad Parent
Pros: Solid bat Swings great for 10 yr old
Cons: Haven’t had it long enough to test durability really
Great bat Joe chapman Parent
Pros: My 11u son loves this bat. Good pop and a light feel
Cons: Haven’t seen anything yet.
The Solo is awesome!!!! Marsha Bailey Other
Pros: Makes my grandson very happy ! Gave him his confidence back and the bat is HOT??
Cons: No cons!!!
Go-to bat M_bsbl Parent
Pros: This bat was my son's go-to, hands down favorite for two years in two different sizes, and I would buy another one if it came in -8. He has other high-end alloy and composite bats that he likes, but the Solo is what he grabs when he needs extra confidence. Flat out raked with this bat He is smaller for his age, so the balance and increased swing speed are great. But make no mistake, this bat has juice too! Swing speed=gap to gap power. A steal at the current price.
Cons: nil
love it dchpa Parent
Pros: great bat... my son loves it
Cons: none
As much pop as anything on the market Shelby Hunt Parent
Pros: Big sweet spot Durable Good looking bat
Cons: Does have vibration on the handle and cap but what bat doesn’t
Great Bat! Mark Coach
Pros: Very good looking bat! Bought it for my 11 year old son at the time (now he’s 12). Wouldn’t say it extremely hot out the wrapper but doesn’t take long to break in after 50-75 balls that bat is SMOKING HOT! Very balanced and feels way lighter the a -10 we’ll worth money for this bat. Also been having it for over a year now still going strong.
Cons: Didn’t like the grip but that’s easy to change. The vibration a little rough outside the sweet spot.
Great bat Jack Coach
Pros: Terrific balanced bat. There isn’t that loud ping sound, but you know when it’s been hit well. This is my 12 year old second Solo and he loves it!
Cons: None
Great Bat.....Great Durability Matt Cunningham Coach
Pros: My son used this bat for two month last year and hit amazing with it. Tons of pop right out of the wrapper. Although he cannot use it anymore base on drop....I use it as a fungo and cannot believe the durability. Great bat for a great price!!!
Cons: Minor Vibration......

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
