Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010

Join us in welcoming another member of the Select PWR family of bats made by Louisville Slugger! Once again, this bat is certain to be a favorite among power hitters!

Bat Benefits

Slugger is bringing back the Select PWR in a familiar design that players loved this past season. It is going to have the EXD Alloy on the barrel that allows the length of that barrel to extend an extra half inch. The bat will have a slight barrel load to it, but with this EXD Alloy, that load should not be too overwhelming for power hitters to handle.

Also, the bat is considered by Louisville Slugger to be a three-piece model that consists of a (1) alloy barrel (2) composite handle and (3) connector piece. That connector piece will have what is called the PWR Connection System that creates a stiff feel between the barrel and handle at contact with a baseball (the stiff feel is really beginning to be preferred even on multi-piece bats). And at the same time, that connection system should limit the amount of vibration that gets to a batter's hands on a miss-hit. Overall, this bat should be extremely comfortable to swing!

Warranty

You can buy this Louisville Slugger with some confidence! There is no way that a company as storied as Louisville Slugger made it to its current position without understanding the need to help customers. They will extend a twelve (12) month warranty on this bat that extends from the date of purchase. If you buy this bat from JustBats and notice that a warranty issue has arisen on it within 1 year of the purchase, please contact the JustBats Bat Experts. They are trained in warranty knowledge and will get you the directions to begin the warranty process with Louisville Slugger.

Disappoint with quality of the bat Harold Huang Coach

Pros: Good pop and general feel. Hot out of the wrapper.

Cons: Not durable. First time in the cages, the finish of the bat cracked off. Yes it was an indoor cage and was temperature regulated. Sent the back for warranty claim. They deemed it defective and issued a voucher, but did not take into account the sale tax that I paid when purchasing the bat the first time. I lost out on $24.95. Petty maybe, but when you spend that much on a top level bat you would think it would last longer than it’s first hour in a cage.

Great Bat Matt Parent

Pros: Had to find a new bat as my son's Voodoo One was sent back with severe warranty issues. He liked the Voodoo One but just not durable. Went with this after he tried it out locally, and then ordered from here. He says it is just a tad heavier versus the Voodoo One, but he sweet spot is much larger and very noticeably better. Great, great pop as well. So far, so good.

Cons: None to date.

Have a question about the 2022 Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2524010? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Which of the Slugger bats swings similar to a Baum bat swing weight?
James
Unfortunately, it would be hard to compare the swing weight feel of the Baum bat to a LS model. The Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 would be a great option to consider if one prefers a bat with a slightly end-loaded swing weight design.
Cameron
My son is 16, 5'10, 180lbs. He's been swinging the CAT 8 and 9 Connects the last few years. How does this bat compare? Is there a better bat for him out there.
Joe K
This Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 is also a hybrid bat just like the Cat connect. The two models are extremely similar.
Ryan
Given the alloy barrel is there still a cold weather concern (< 60°) with the composite handle?
JD
With it having an alloy barrel the cold weather will have a lot less of an effect on it compared to a typical composite bat.
Dillon
Would this be too end loaded of a transition? 5'11" 150 lb. player that has swung a 32" Meta Prime.
Larry
The Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 will be LS's heaviest swinging bat and would feel different when compared to the Meta. If the player prefers more of a balanced swing weight type of bat, then this Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 would not be a good option to consider.
Cameron
How does this bat compare to a Mizuno PWR CRBN? I can’t find any in a 31 inch.
Ryan
The Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 is a two-piece bat that features an alloy barrel and composite handle. This bat will have more of an end-loaded swing weight design. As for the Mizuno PWR CRBN, this is a two-piece composite bat with a balanced swing weight.
Cameron
According to the LS site, the 31” Select PWR has a lighter swing weight than the 31” Meta. How would that compare to the Voodoo One?
G_Lee
The Voodoo ONE would have the lightest swing weight when compared to the LS Meta and the Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010.
Cameron
Is this bat a -3?
Aj
Yes, the Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 is a -3/BBCOR bat.
Cameron
Is this bat good for a 14 yr old? Wants a bat to hit the ball further.
Michelle Meese
The Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 is a great option to consider for those who prefer a BBCOR bat with an end-loaded swing weight. If your 14 year old player has above average bat speed for his age then this bat would be a great option to consider!
Cameron
Is this bat illegal for highschool baseball?
Alben
This Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 is BBCOR .50 Certified For High School & College Play.
Frank
Is the handle and knob the same on the Select PWR as it is on the Meta?
Glen
As far as we know, the handle and knob construction/design would be the same on the Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 and Meta bats.
Cameron
Son is 6'1" and 170 lbs. His Voodoo ONE 33/30 broke and now he’s borrowing a Select Power 32/29. Is it ok to use a 32/29 even though he’s 6'1"? Will this bat slow his bat speed down? He says he hits fine with it. Do down sizes mess up his swing?
Gee
Per your son's height and weight, our recommendation would be a 33 inch BBCOR. There is nothing wrong with scaling down to a 32 inch model on the Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010. If the hitter is comfortable and confident using a 32 inch BBCOR then we would certainly recommend they go that route.
Cameron
Is the durability better than last year's Select PWR?
noah
Early reviews on the Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010 have painted a positive picture regarding durability of the bat.
Cameron
What is the difference between Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBSPB320 and the Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat: WBL2466010?
LG

Cameron
So I have a demarini voodoo one warranty replacement bat on the way, once I get it could I do the just bats trade in policy to get $350 of credit to buy the select pwr?
James
Hello- We do not have a justbats trade in policy. Thanks!
Kristie

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
