Bat Benefits
Determined to discover never before seen swing speeds and exit velocities, Lousiville Slugger sought out player feedback and state-of-the-art computer simulations to map out what they were looking for in the Atlas!
Their findings resulted in a first-of-its-kind one-piece alloy design that optimizes the wall thickness of the EVOKE Alloy along the entire length of the barrel. Slugger's redesigned SPD-Gen2 End Cap is implemented at the end of the barrel to generate even higher swing speeds without sacrificing power. Additionally, Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) is implemented within the handle to eliminate vibration and sting on balls that aren't squared up.
The Louisville Slugger Atlas features a balanced swing weight and will be available from 29" to 34", making it a great option for players transitioning to BBCOR or hitters seeking out a light, one-piece bat!
Warranty
Louisville Slugger backs this bat with a one-year warranty against defects and some damages that may occur from routine on-field play. Those damages include broken knobs and cabs, structural damages and severe dents. Louisville may offer a one-time repair or replacement on bats that qualify under this warranty.

Great bbcor Austin Blanco Player
Pros: This bat is amazing I was at a batting cage and swinging this and it felt amazing I was surprised this honestly felt more better than the voodoo I recommend this bat to anyone and I’m 12 swinging this and it is super light and I love this bat easy 10 out of 10
Cons: The only thing is that I have not had it long enough to prove durability that’s the only thing
New Bat Tim Bohman Parent
Pros: Bat has good pop. Consistent performance and production
Cons: Handle skin wrapped for a right hand batter. This is common for most left handed batters.
Awesome Parent
Pros: Best bang for ur buck . My son has hit 3 triples, several doubles, and a grand slam in just 5 games . It's made a whole of difference for him
Cons: None so far
Durability SUCKS Mike Player
Pros: - Overall just a great bat for the price, sits right in the sweet spot of light balanced swinging, power/pop, and a very forgiving barrel.
Cons: - Buying this bat twice and each time it’s vibration dampener technology on the inside chips and breaks so so easily. It leaves a rattle that sucks and definitely affects the bat. The price is hard to beat but I’m fine with paying an extra $80-$100 if that means more life. Not to mention, this thing just isn’t in stock, you buy the assurance program just to not be able to get it again for another 3-4 months.
Goated Barrett Player

The Atlas sucks pp Coach

Cons: Ugly as hell
Whole barrel has pop!! Alex Player
Pros: This bat is definitely an over achiever!!! Swing weight is true and balanced. Hands down the best BBCOR bat I have ever used. I hope the only thing they change with next years Atlas is the color.
Cons: NONE
Great bat Gaige Player
Pros: everything except that when I hit a ball it vibrates a lot
Cons: vibrations
Well done! Bill DePuye Parent
Pros: The ball flies off the bat right out of the wrapper Have only used in the cage so far but my son loves it Bat gives off a distinctive sound when barreled
Cons: The grip takes some getting used to but can always change that out
Good bat Lukas Romine Player
Pros: Has a lot of pop Doesn’t hurt off the end or the handle Very durable
Cons: A little bit heavy and it hurts my hands swinging it’s like the knob gets on my hands and I’m swinging with the knob
Unbelievable bat Mike Player
Pros: This bat served as an alternative to my goods 2pc if it broke. It was a 33" bat and I loved it. I got the 33.5 verson of the Atlas and immediately feel in love with it. Fits my swing well, and would suit a lot of players well.
Cons: A little bit ugly.
The best bat i have ever used in my life. LOVEBASEBALL Player
Pros: Th bat holds up really good, it hits really good too, that when i hit the ball i feel like im in the mlb. I recommended it for u and ur child
Cons: none
Great feel with pop Trey Collins Coach
Pros: Great pop with even greater feel. A slight end load with no vibration on miss hits. Definitely the best bbcor for the price. Bat Bros nailed there review, it’s that good.
Cons: Ugly as sin…. Terrible colors…
Great bat! Steve Saucier Parent
Pros: Ball jumps off the bat and sounds great on contact. All hitting so far has been in the cage. Very balanced, which generates great bat speed. Son loves it!
Cons: None so far.
Great Bat Lance Crawford Parent
Pros: Big sweet spot. Very Balanced bat.
Cons: Colors of the bat could be better.
Great bat Jason Parent
Pros: Been through several of the “newest, hottest, most pop” composites the last 3 years for my son. Personal experience but 3 composites broke, a few ended up dead rather quickly , and one or two seemed to last half a season. My experience with composites is it’s a crapshoot. So this bat having good feel, nice reaction and CONSISTENCY has been a blessing. This is direct feedback from the kid. HS baseball.
Cons: Color is uh …loud. Had to mark durability for review but it’s only been a month so take it with a grain of salt.
Ugliest bat you will ever love ChadM Parent
Pros: Son decided to go from end loaded stinger nuke to something more balanced. He said he likes the taper, and it feels whippy. First few swings and he knew it was hot, ended up with a PR by the end of the session. Swings much different than endloaded, so if looking to make transition, give yourself some time, as it could take some getting used to. Would be hard to lose this bat, as the glaring safety cone orange should make it spotable from across the park.
Cons: Whoever had the idea of safety orange should have been kicked out of the meeting. I saw another post about maybe putting electric blue lizard skin on this thing to maybe even it out. Price is right compared to other bats of same type.
The Bat Bros Waddup Wardup Coach
Pros: The bat bros said it was amazing
Cons: I don’t think for myself
Absolute HAMMER!!! Jeremy Parent
Pros: This bat was bought for a player moving up to BBCOR. He hit the VooDoo one, CatX and the Atlas to see which one he preferred. He ended up with the Atlas and it has not disappointed at all. It is Balanced just right, Sweet spot is 80% of the barrel (very forgiving on miss-hits), and its HOT!! The color stands out for sure. So it will stand out at the ball park.
Cons: NONE!!!!
Excellent All Around Bat Gary Johnson Parent
Pros: Large sweet spot, swings light & balanced, excellent value. My 13yr old son has an arsenal of bats and prefers the new Atlas to the one piece Marucci CatX and DeMarini The Goods (end loaded, 2 piece). Hard to discern between the Atlas & CatX--more preference.
Cons: Aesthetics--paint scheme could improve
Excellent bat JRide Parent
Pros: Fire hot and very forgiving. Bought as a cold weather option to use with the 2022 META being primary. Since using the Atlas we have all but retired the META. Larger sweetspot than the CATX, easier on the hands and just as hot.
Cons: BBCOR Atlas is a little heavier than the CATX but my 12 year old controls the barrel well.
Great 1-piece BBCOR Chace Player
Pros: Very Big Sweet Spot, Great Feedback even on bad hits
Cons: Rough paint job, a little handle wieghted
Solid Bat EC23 Player
Pros: Very hot, pretty good sweet spot
Cons: Very handle-weighted which might mess with your swing, bad taper, awful paint job
cracked out dom Player
Pros: this bat is good. it has it all with balanced swing weight, great pop, and a large sweet spot. the color is cool
Cons: none
Get this Bat! Luke Johnson Player
Pros: It doesn’t matter if you’re a power hitter or a contact hitter, this bat is for you! It has a great sweet spot with some power! It’s really easy to whip through the zone! Some people might not like the color, but I don’t really mind it! It looks better in person! 10/10 bat! Save the $50-$80 and get this instead of the Vodo or Catx! You won’t regret it!
Cons: None!
it's awesome. Dan Sheridan Parent
Pros: Huge sweet spot for a 1 piece bat. Tons of pop and balanced weighting. Our kid loves it.
Cons: That color is rough. and it sounds kind of odd.
its trash alex Coach
Pros: none
Cons: everthing about it
Incredible Sweet Spot J Player
Pros: This is easily the best BBCOR bat I've ever swung. It has a perfectly balanced swing weight - easy to control and the bat feels like it's hot from the hands to the end of the barrel. When I hit the ball perfect perfect, it feels like the hottest 1 piece ever. When I hit it off the hands or off the end, it feels like the most forgiving 2 piece ever! The forgiveness of the barrel and power of this bat makes hitting fun again. Can't wait till the season starts
Cons: None, this bat fits me perfectly.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
