Description

New for 2013! The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its second season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That's why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, and S3). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton's patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can't be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The XL1 is BBCOR Certified and approved for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This is the best BBCOR out there. Perfect weight distribution and you don't have to be the biggest guy to swing this stick. You actually make more contact because of the bigger sweetspot and it feels 10 times better than the S1. Really consider this bat when buying an Easton.

Cons: The whole team wants to use it and touch it.

Pros: This is the best bbcor bat you can buy. There is a massive sweetspot which makes it easier to hit the ball perfectly. I prefer the xl1 more than the s1 because you can get more power on the xl1 because it is more endloaded. There is not a lot of sting when you get jammed or when you hit the ball off the end of the bat.

Cons: None. Great bat.

Pros: Amazing bat. The barrel size is the biggest in the market. The long barrel can generate constant contact and home runs. The pop is unbelievable. This is also one of the best bat designs around.

Cons: While people may think this bat is unbalanced, that's wha it's meant for. I am a contact hitter. I got this bat and while it was heavy at first, I adjusted my swing easily. Dont let the weight keep you from buying this bat.

What is the difference between this years xl and last years?
big hitter
Both will be similar in swing weight and performance, but the 2013 XL1 features a new composite in the handle that gives it a little more strength and durability.
Tyler
My Easton XL1 I had last year broke 3 different times, has this year's model been reported to have problems in endurance?
Alec
Because the 2013 Easton XL1's have not been released to the public yet, we have not had any reviews positive or negative on the 2013 model.
Tom
Is this bat going to be a little more end heavy than last years model?
Nick
The weight distribution of the 2012 and 2013 Easton XL1's will be the same, but the 2013 will have a new SIC Black Carbon composite handle.
Tom
I'm 5'8 and 165 pounds. What bat weight to length should I get 32/29 or 33/30?

In the **PRE-BOOK** a 31" 28 oz. is not shown. Will that become available?

Aubrey
I'm 13 years old 5'5 and 120 pounds what size bat would be good for me?
Chas
Based on your size, a 31" adult BBCOR bat is recommended.
Tyler
When will this bat be available for purchase?
Alec
The 2013 Easton XL1 is available for purchase now. Because this is a Pre-Book order it will ship out on the release date which is November 14th with free 2nd day air.
Tom
I don't see an option for a 32" 29OZ. Will this size be available in the 2013 models?
Mark
Yes, the 2013 Easton XL1 will be available in 32" 29oz.
Tom
I am a power guy that loves composite bats. Which bat do you suggest, this one or the 2013 CF5?
Dom
If you're a power hitter with above average swing speed, the XL1 would be recommended as it has a more endloaded feel compared to the CF5.
Tyler
Will the new composite in the handle of the XL1 make it a stiffer handle with less flex?
Matt
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat will have the same Two-Piece all Composite material design as last year. Typically, Two-Piece designs do not feel as stiff as a true One-Piece design. If you are looking for the stiffest feel try picking up and swinging the 2013 Easton XL3 BBCOR. It is a One-Piece all Alloy model.
Brandon
What is the difference between this and the 2012 model?
Flocco
The 2013 Easton XL1 will feature a new SIC Black Carbon composite handle.
Tom
Does this have a bigger sweet spot than the 2012 model?
Dominic
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR will have the same sweet spot as the 2012 model. The 2013 model will use upgraded composite in the handle for added durability.
Nick
When will it be released to the public and if I buy it now, when will I receive it?
Eric
The **PRE-BOOK** 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat will be ready to ship on November 14, 2012. It will come with FREE 2-Day Air. You will have it in your hands on November 16.
Brandon
Is it big barrel and whats different on it then the XL1 2012 because that's what I have?
Daly
All adult bats are considered "big barreled" and the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 has a 2 5/8" barrel. See some of the previous questions and answers for the difference between the 2013 and 2012 models.
Tyler
What length should i have if i am 5'5 120 pounds?
Daly
Based on your size, a 31" model of the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 is recommended.
Tyler
I'm 13 years old 5'7" about 115-120 lbs, what size would you recommend?
devilsfan19
Based on your height and weight, we would recommend a 31" 28 oz. in the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1. For more sizing information, please visit our bat coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

Brandon
what should have more pop the 2012 or 2013 XL1? witch model would you recommend i want something with pop but in the XL
Jacobo
Both will have the same amount of pop. The 2013 model does feature a new composite in the handle to better reduce vibration and sting.
Tyler
My son used a Easton Omen -5 last season. This year he must go to a -3. Comparing bats out of the box which feels more like a Easton Omen, an XL1, S1, DeMarini CF5, or something else. Thank-you, Nathan Notter
Nathan
The Easton XL1 will feel a little more endloaded than the Omen. The Easton S1 will feel a little more balanced than the Omen. In my opinion, the CF5 will be most similar in terms of overall balance.
Tyler
Will the new composite handle affect the performance compared to the 2012 model?
twinkle toes
The new composite handle is a minor upgrade in the quality of the composite material and shouldn't affect performance in a major way.
Jeff
how does this bat compare to last years S2? more or less end loaded? more or less pop?
hardhitter
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 is a two-piece, full composite bat that is endloaded. The Easton S2 is a two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. As far as which has the most pop, that depends on the hitter. A powerful hitter with high swing speed will have more pop with the XL1. A hitter with average or below average strength and swing speed will have more pop with the S2.
Tyler
How does the XL1 compare to a wood bat as far a weight distribution goes. I like the balance distribution of wood and am trying to find a bat that copies that feel.
J-Money
That all depends on the turning model of the wood bat. Different turning models will have slightly balance points. The XL1 is an endloaded bat similar to many wood bats though.
Tyler
I am a 3 hole hitter for my team. I hit a lot of wall balls with the S1 this year. But I have great batspeed. So, would this XL1 help get the ball over the wall? or longer carry at least to the ball?
Dominating 24-7
If you have above average bat speed, the endloaded design of the XL1 will help you to generate more inertia, which will translate into more power.
Tyler
I am 14 years old, 5'10 and 190 pounds and will be facing the fastest pitchers this year. I am strong and have good bat speed but I would prefer a more balanced bat and want to hit for power, so which XL model would be best for me or is there not much of a difference?
Bo
The Easton XL Series bats are designed for power hitters and they are slightly end-loaded. If you are looking for a truly balanced bat then the Easton S Series bats would be a better choice. As far as the differences between the models, they are different but one is not necessarily better than the other. It depends greatly upon player preference, strength, swing speed and reaction time.
Jeff
I am 5'9 130 lbs, I am looking for either an S1 or XL1, I need it for 2013 Spring, Summer, and Fall. What length should I get in the drop 3?
YASH
I suggest getting a 31" 28oz. bat. You should get the 2013 Easton S1 if you are a contact hitter. If you are more of a power hitter the Easton XL1 will be better for your.
Noah
I am 16 years old, 5'11 185 pounds and hit in the 4th spot. Which Easton bat would make the most sense for me?
T-Rip
The Easton XL1 BBCOR is a two-piece composite bat and is end loaded for a power hitter. So If you hit in the 4th spot this would be the ideal Easton bat for you.
Damon
I am 14 years old, 5'9' 200 pounds. I am one of the strongest hitters on the team and would like to know what model would suit me best? The Xl series or the S series? Your answer will be greatly appreciated.
DB
If you have above average strength and swing speed, an XL Series bat will be recommended due to the endloaded design.
Tyler
I used the 2012 easton XL1 -5 last year. Do you think I should move up to the -3 XL1 this year or the S1. I lead off or hit second most of the time. Which one would fit me better you think?
Nick
If the Easton XL1 -5 worked for you last year, the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult should work for you.
Zach
If I used the Easton XL1 -5 last year, and it worked well, and still hit first or second, and have good bat speed will I still have almost the same amount of bat speed when I move up to a -3 XL1 or should I go with the S1 to help still have good bat speed, and not be late on the ball?
Trani
The 2013 Easton XL3 BBCOR bat will be just fine. You are moving up two ounces, but since you were always successful with it in the past you should stick with the same bat even though your bat speed may drop a little bit at first.
Noah
i\Is this bat alot better than the 2012 XL1?
lfrizzle
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult has an upgraded composite in the handle.
Zach
Last season I used the XL1 32/29 I really liked it but I would like to try the Speed series, is the S1 the best of the speeds? And is the 2013 speed series any different than the 2012?
Gavin G
The 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR: BB13S1 has a composite barrel, which tend to out perform alloy bats. They have upgraded the composite material in the handle for better durability.
Kara
Hello my son is 6'2 210 pounds playing in a 35 and over league is this bat recommended for his size? Also is there a 37 inch available?
Easton
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat is a great choice for the Adult player. At your son's size I would suggest a 34" bat length. 34" is the largest length Easton makes in this bat model. Usually, I see the Adult 35+ leagues use all Wood bats. I would check to make sure he can use a two-piece composite bat like this one before purchasing.
Brandon
I'm a freshman in high school, I weigh 150lbs and i am 5'11" . Which bat in the power brigade would be right for me? What size?
Nick
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat would be a great option if you are a power hitter. The Extra-Long Barrel and slight End-Load adds power to your swing. I would suggest a length of 31", but you can go up to a 32".
Frank
I am 5' 9'' 135 lbs and a sophmore in High School. Last year I purchased the S1 and it felt too light, so halfway through i used my friends XL1. I started hitting for power and loved it. But which do i get for this year. NOTE last year i was 5 inches shorter 25 lbs less
BigCrisp
It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. Thus, the XL1 would be recommended.
Tyler
I am a 7th grader who is 115 lbs. and 5' 4". I would like to know which Power Brigade bat is right for me.
MJ
At 115 lbs. and 5' 4" I would recommend the 2013 Easton XL1: SL13X18 Senior League bat in a 31" 23 oz. If you would like a -5, I would recommend the 2013 Easton XL1: SL13X15 Senior League bat.
Doug F.
I'm 14, a freshman in high school and I'm 5'11" and weigh 155 pounds. I'm wondering if this is the right bat for me?
Dhall
Yes, it is a great bat. I would get it in the 32 inch length. I think you will love it.
Chad M.
I am a 5'10" 145 lb. contact/power hitter. I am looking for a bat that isn't as light as the S1 but not super top heavy either. Is this bat the right bat for me, or would the TPX ExoGrid3 or Marucci Black 2 be better?
emankcin
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat sounds like the right fit for you. It will have a slight end load compared to the S1. Yet, it is built the same. It will be a two-piece all composite bat. This would be a great choice for a contact and/or power guy.
Brandon
I'm a middle schooler and I need a bat for ball, would this be a good bat for me. I am 4 11 and a half so?
Caydester13
The BB13X1 would be a good choice for a bat. This bat replaced he Easton Omen, which has been our best seller for the past few years because of it's pop and durability. It's a two piece full composite construction, that features a massive sweet spot.
Derek
Is it right for me?
Nikki
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR is a perfect bat for power hitters so if you are a power hitter it would be right for you.
Noah
I'm 6 foot 165 lbs. and still deciding to get S1 or XL1. Last year I used XL 2012 model and I'm currently swinging the Omen and I loved them both....what is best for me S1 or XL1?
Wally
If you have above average strength and swing speed, then the XL1 is recommended due to its endloaded design. If you have average or below average strength and swing speed, the S1 is recommended due to its balanced design.
Tyler
I'm a freshman in high school and I'm 5' 8'' and 140 lbs. I'm looking for power/pop. I'm not the strongest freshmen, but I'm not the weakest. I've hit the Omen and I liked the pop and the weight balance, but I'm wondering if I should go with the XL1 or the S1?
scotty
If you are looking for a bat that will feel closest to the Omen you should choose the XL1. It is going to have the same end loaded feel as the Omen did.
Noah
No one at my school has this bat. Can Easton send a rep out with one or send a demo bat for us to try. I am sure there will be a lot of buyers if we can try one.
dean
We don't have any Easton reps that can do that for us. Please fill free to call Easton at 888-259-1297.
Chad M.
What is the difference between the XL1 and the XL2 models?
Twinsfan42
The Easton XL1 will be a two-piece composite bat and the XL2 is a two-piece bat as well, but it has a composite handle with an alloy barrel.
Noah
What if your not a power hitter, is this bat still good?
matt
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is a great bat weather you are a power hitter or not, but the XL1 is made for stronger power hitters so you may not be very successful with it if it is too heavy for you.
Noah
I am 160 pounds and 5' 10". Should I get the XL1 in a 31" 28 oz. or the 32" 29 oz.?
pj
We recommend a 32" 29 oz. model of the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1. For more sizing information, check out our Bat Coach tool: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/.
Mac
My son is in 8th grade. He is currently he is using a XL1 -5 and is hitting fine with it, but at times he says that the bat feels a little heavy. For next season should we get the S1 or the XL1?
dylan
Since the Easton XL1 feels heavy to him, I would recommend going with the 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR: BB13S1 Adult next season. It is the same bat, but it is the balanced version.
Marcus
What is the difference between this and the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR?
Spadz
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat is a two-piece fully composite design and the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR: DXVDC Adult bat is a two-piece design with an alloy barrel and composite handle. Here is a link for further comparison http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Aubrey
Which bat is better and has better pop? The XL1 or XL2?
zhale
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 has similar performance and swing weight compared to the 2013 XL2. The XL1 will have slightly better durability and a different feel with its composite barrel versus the alloy barrel of the XL2.
Mac
How long will this bat take to break in?
Spadz
For bats with composite barrels, like the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1, we recommend 150-200 reps of soft-toss/tee work with real baseballs. Starting at 40% of your max effort, make sure to rotate the barrel 1/4" with each contact and work into full swings.
Mac
Is the Easton XL1 lighter than the other XL models since it is all composite?
Patrick
No, the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult will weigh the same as any other model that is manufactured at the same given weight.
Kevin
I am 6'1" and about 140 lbs. Which bat would be better for me: The Easton XL1 or the Easton S1?
sam
For a player your size, I would recommend going with the 33" 30 oz. model of the 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR: BB13S1 Adult.
Marcus
What's the difference between the XL1 BBCOR and the XL2 BBCOR? What size do you think I should get? I'm 5'7" and 115 pounds?
johnny balla
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat is a two-piece fully composite design and the 2013 Easton XL2 BBCOR: BB13X2 Adult bat is a two-piece hybrid with an alloy barrel and composite handle. Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model.
Aubrey
What should I get? The XL1 or the S1? I'm 5'7" and 120 pounds.
johhhh
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat is a great choice for the traditional power hitter. The S1 is a more popular choice for a contact/gap hitter, who prefers a balanced model.
Brandon
Currently, I have an Easton Omen bbcor in a 33" 30 oz. model. However, I have been looking to get another in a 32" 29 oz. model for faster pitching, but I cannot seem to find many Easton Omens online. Which bat out of the new Easton power brigade has the most similar shape as the Omen?
AwesomeManDavey
The Easton Omen has been discontinued and replaced by the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR.
Chad M.
Will the Easton Omen BBCOR still be BBCOR certified for the 2013 season, even though it has been discontinued?
AwesomeManDavey
The Omen BBCOR would just need to have the BBCOR Certified .50 stamp to be deemed legal. The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat would be certified also.
Brandon
If I'm 5'0" does it matter if I get this bat? Or should I get a different bat?
boom
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is end loaded, so it is more for a power hitter. You height wouldn't be a factory, just you hitting ability.
Chad M.
I have the 2012 Easton XL2. I hit a lot of pop-ups. Could this mean that the Easton XL2 is too heavy and I need the Easton S2?
Patrick
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is end loaded and is more for a power hitter. If you are not constantly driving the ball then we would suggest moving into the Easton S1 or the Easton S2.
Chad M.
Does the 2013 Easton XL1 feel lighter than the 2012 Easton Xl1?
BulldogBaseball
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult will feel the same as the 2012 Easton XL1 BBCOR. The only difference is the graphics on the bats.
Chad M.
Does the Easton XL1 have the biggest barrel in BBCOR?
sms325
No. The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat has a 2 5/8" barrel which is the standard size for Adult BBCOR bats.
Tyler
I am not a big power hitter but I always make solid contact whether it's a grounder or line-drive. Would you recommend the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult or the 2013 S1 BBCOR Adult?
bradbrad45
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is end loaded. For a contact hitter, we'd recommend the more balanced 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR: BB13S1 Adult.
Katie
Can you feel a diffrence between the S1 and X1 in your swing, pop, power, etc.?
cgagec
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat will have an extended barrel design and a more end loaded feel. You will definitely notice this when comparing to the Easton S1. The end load will help with power, if, you can control the bat and keep the bat speed up.
Brandon
I'm looking at the XL1 and the XL2, what material would hold its "pop" longest? The alloy barrel or the composite barrel?
baseballplayer44
The 2013 Easton XL2 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat and its alloy barrel will be game ready from day one and slowly lose its pop over time. The composite barrel will break-in and continue to gain pop over time. I would go XL1.
Brandon
I'm a freshman and I am 5'8" 145 lbs. I'm one of the stronger guys and I am having trouble deciding between the Easton XL1 and Easton S1. Which bat would be the best and what size?
jed21
A 33" model would be a good size for you. If you are more of a power hitter the Easton XL1 would be better because it is more end loaded. If you are more of a contact hitter the Easton S1 would be better because it is balanced.
Damon
When does the 2014 Easton bat line come out?
comp
The 2014 Easton bats will be out in the fall of 2013.
Noah
I am about to start using BBCOR bats. I am not sure if I should go with this bat or the S1 for speed. I'm a 4th, 5th , or 6th hitter.
Gonzo
If you are a stronger kid with more power than other players on the team the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult would be great for you. If you are a little better at just making contact every time you're up the Easton S1 will be better for you.
Noah
Is this bat USSSA 1.15 BPF certified?
Zach
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat is BBCOR certified and does not feature the USSSA BPF 1.15 performance certification mark.
Mac
Will the 2014 version be full composite and is there any way I could see a picture of it?

Kara

The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR has a higher quality composite in the handle than the 2012 Easton XL1 BBCOR.
Damon
I'm a contact and power hitter who just needs that few feet, is this the bat for me?
mvpete
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat features an extended barrel and end loaded swing weight. We recommend it for a player that has above average swing speed.
Aubrey
I am 5'7, 130 lbs, swinging a Marucci Black 2. I am a gap to gap spot power hitter. Which bat would be best for me? Easton XL1, Marucci Black 2, or DeMarini CF5?
sco
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is an end loaded two-piece bat, a great choice for a gap spot power hitter.
Kara
I am 13 years old, 115 lbs. with great bat speed. I am looking to get a bat from the power brigade series, which bat would be best for me? I play high school JV baseball.
lg baseball
Based on your age, we recommend a 31" model. If you have good bat speed, any of the XL series bats would be great options.
Aubrey
I have good bat speed, and I have a high batting average and get a lot of hits. But I hit it fairly far. I am 13 and weigh 110. Is this the bat for me?
fad
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat features a slightly end loaded swing weight that is typically preferred by power hitters with high swing speeds. Because you have good bat speed, you may benefit from the increased mass in the barrel. To help determine the length you should swing, feel free to check out our Bat Coach tool: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/
Mac
I'm 5'9 weigh 180 pounds do you think I would be able to generate enough power to swing the XL1 or would the S1 be a better choice?
Garrett
If you have quick bat speed the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult would be a great choice to generate more power. If you have slower bat speed the Easton S1 would be the better choice.
Kara
I am in need of a BBCOR bat for next year. I am 13 years old, 5'8 130 lbs and very good bat speed. Should I get this bat or wait for the new MAKO to come out?
playball
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is a great choice for a player who has quick bat speed. It has an extended barrel for a great sweet spot.
Kara

John
I am 13 years old, 5' 11" tall, and weigh 130 lbs. I have great bat speed. I have the Easton XL1 drop 5 but need a BBCOR bat with the same pop. What do you suggest?
Justice Candelario
The Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult would be great bat as it is the same model just the BBCOR version.
Damon
I am 13 and I am 5 foot 5 what size do you think I should get?
EastonBats4Life

Mac
Which is better? The Easton XL1 BBCOR or the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR?
Kendall
Both are great two-piece composite bats and both will have an end load. The Easton XL1 is a full composite bat so will be higher performing than the DeMarini Voodoo which is a two-piece bat but has an alloy barrel.
Damon
What is the difference between Easton S1 and Easton XL1?
Justice
The Easton S1 is more balanced for a contact hitter, whereas the Easton XL1 is more end loaded for a power hitter.
Damon
Before I buy the Easton XL1 BBCOR is this bat legal in school in the state of Florida?
justice
The Easton XL1 BBCOR is legal for high school and college play.
Damon
I am 5'6" and am going into freshman year at my high school. I am a contact, line drive hitter. I am 110 lbs. and want to know if I should buy the Easton S1 or XL1?
matt
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" model. The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat is generally more well suited for a power hitter where the Easton S1 would be a good choice for a contact hitter.
Aubrey
What two-piece bat is best for power hitters with fast hands? The XL1, XL2, S1, or S2?
sammy
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat and XL2 BBCOR models have slightly end loaded swings that are designed for power hitters with high swing speeds. The S1 and S2 models are very balanced and provide quicker bat speed to players that with average swing speeds. Deciding between the XL1 or XL2 would come down to your preference toward the barrel material. Composite barrels perform at a high level for a longer period than alloy, but they also require a break-in period prior to game use.
Mac
I'm 13, 5' 9", and 150 lbs. Which bat size should I get and also, which bat is better, the XL1 BBCOR or XL3 BBCOR?

Sammy

Kara
I am almost 13, weigh 100 lbs., and am 5'2". Which bat size should I get for a XL1?

I am going to be 14 next baseball season and I generally hit home runs and hit line drives. I am wondering if I should get the S1 or XL 1?
Mauer
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is an end loaded bat and designed for a contact hitter with power. The Easton S1 is best for a contact hitter who needs to increase their bat speed.
Kara
I am 13 and have had success with this bat, but a drop 3 is too heavy. I am 5' 6" and 140 lbs. do you recommend this bat for me?
billyburgess192
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is a great bat, but since a -3 bat is really heavy for you, you may want to try something a lot more balanced like the Easton S1.
Noah
I am a power hitter who hits lots of home runs. I like balanced bats. Should I get this or the S1? Does this bat allow flex when you hit with it?
Dr. Cool
If you like balanced bats you should definitely go with the 2013 Easton S1. Yes, the S1 and XL1 both offer a lot of flex, because of the two-piece design.
Noah
I'm 13, 6'4" and 225 lbs. Do you think a 33" 30 oz. bat is too big for me?
jamie
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 34" model in the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

Mac
When will I know the bat is broken in?
kevin
Typically a composite barrel bat takes around 200 swings off a tee or doing soft toss. If you look closely at the barrel you can see the composite fibers loosening up and expanding, which is a good thing.
John
I'm looking for a 32 inch -3 baseball bat and its between the XL1 and the S1. I am 13 and going on my first year on the big field. I'm not a very big kid and probably won't ever be. But I want a bat that I'll be able to use in high school against faster pitchers. I'm more of a contact hitter by the way, but I do have some strokes of power here and there. So which of these bats should I get?
Cole
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is an end loaded bat and is designed for a player with quick bat speed and power. The 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR is balanced and better for faster pitching.
Kara
What is the biggest difference between Easton XL1 bbcor, and the new Easton Mako BBCOR?
Catchers dad
The Easton XL1 has an extended barrel with an end loaded swing weight. The Easton Mako has an extended barrel with a balanced swing weight.
Noah
I know this bat has a longer barrel than the S1 but is the "sweet spot" itself longer or is the part where the barrel connects with the handle lower?
cole kid 28
The actual sweet spot is going to be bigger on the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult than it is on the Easton S1.
Noah
I'm 5' 8" at 190 pounds. What length do you recommend for my size?
Price

Which bat is more end loaded the Easton XL1 or the 2013 DeMarini Voodoo?
WFbaseball
Both, the Easton XL1 and Voodoo will have an end load feel. The DeMarini Voodoo will have a slight end loaded swing weight while the XL1 is going to be one of the most end loaded models on the market.
John
What is the difference between Easton XL1 BBCOR and Easton XL2 BBCOR?
doyg
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is a two-piece composite bat. The Easton 2013 XL2 BBCOR: BB13X2 is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and an alloy barrel. Both are end loaded bats.
Kara
What is the lowest temperature I can use this in?
beast
It is not recommended to use a composite bat like the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR in temperatures below 60 degrees. Lower temperatures will decrease the bats performance and increase the potential of cracking.
John H
I'm a Line Drive/Power Hitter. Should I get the XL1 or the XL3?
Lights Out
Power hitters can effectively use either the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult or the XL3 BBCOR. The XL1 is a two-piece composite while the XL3 is a one-piece alloy. Both have slightly end loaded swing weights, but are different in design otherwise. I would reflect on the design of the bats you have successfully used in the past to help with the decision.
Mac
I'm 14, 5'11" and 140 lbs. I want to know what would be better, the CF5 or the XL1? I am a power hitter.
Will H
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat. It is a great option for a power hitter.
Aubrey
I'm 5'11, 140 lbs. I'm going to be a freshman. I use a 32" and I would like to stick with that, but I don't know if i should use the XL1 or the S1. I usually hit 3rd in the line up but i don't really hit any home runs because the fence is 330 ft, but I hit far gappers. So which bat would recommend?
jgru32
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is end loaded and designed for a power hitter. The Easton S1 is more balanced and better for a player that needs to increase their bat speed.
Kara
Which Easton bat would compare most to last year's DeMarini Voodoo model? The S1 or the XL1? I want to make the move to composite.
franklinquaker
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat features a slightly end loaded feel that is similar to the swing weight of the DeMarini Voodoo. Both bats are two-piece in design with composite handles, but the barrel materials differ (composite in the XL1 vs. the alloy in the Voodoo).
Mac
I'm 5"2 130 pounds and 12 years old. I'm more of a power hitter and don't mind heavy bats. Should I buy the Easton XL1, Easton S1, DeMarini Voodoo or the DeMarini CF5 or something else? Please respond. Thank you.
ethan
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult or the 2014 DeMarini Voodoo are end loaded and designed for a power hitter. The Easton XL1 will have a little more flex than the DeMarini Voodoo.
Kara
I am 180 lbs. and 5' 5". Should I swing the Easton XL1 or a Easton XL3. I am a power hitter.
papi
Both the Easton XL1 and XL3 are end loaded for power hitters. The Easton XL1 will be higher performing as it is a two-piece composite bat.
Damon
I am a power hitter. I have hit with an S1 and liked it since it was balanced. If I like a balanced bat should I go with this or the CF5?
beast
The DeMarini CF5 is the balanced of these two models. The Easton XL1 is end loaded.
Damon
I have last years model of this bat. I am considering buying this bat or the Marucci Elite. I am 14, 5'9 and 160 lbs. I use a 32" but the chart recommends a 33". I am open to changing. Any advice?
Gk8
Both bats perform very well. The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 is an end loaded bat and better for a power hitter. If you are a contact hitter the Marucci Elite would be a better option for you. It a balanced two-piece bat.
Kara
I am 5'8 and 130 lbs. I am more of a contact hitter and going to be a freshman. I am wondering if this bat is worth getting or any other of the Easton bats?
Anonymous
The Easton XL1 BBCOR is a great bat but is end loaded and designed more for a power hitter. The Easton S1 BBCOR or Easton MAKO BBCOR would be the bats you would want to consider they are balanced for a contact hitter.
Damon
What bat is better for power the Easton XL1 or the DeMarini CF5 LE?
baseballer834
The 2013 XL1 BBCOR will feature more of an end loaded feel, so I would recommend this bat for power.
Justin R.
I'm 14, 5'3 and 110 lbs. and a contact hitter. Should I get the Easton XL1 or the Marucci Elite?

i have quick hands and I can hit for both power and contact. And I'm wondering if the Easton XL1 is right for me?
TC
The two-piece design and end loaded feel of the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is a perfect fit for a contact hitter with power.
Kara
Will this have flex similar to a Surge?
Beast
The Easton Surge BBCOR: BGS2 featured the IMX Composite material in its handle. This 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult contains the newer, SIC Black Carbon Composite material in the handle which provides a stiffer flex than the Surge.
Mac
Are composite bats like this made for contact hitters or power hitters?
beast
Composite bats can be used efficiently by contact or power hitters. However, the slightly end loaded swing weight of the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is designed for the swing of a power hitter.
Mac
Do the Easton XL1 and 2012 DeMarini Voodoo have the same swing weight?
2015
The Easton XL1 BBCOR and the DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR both have an end loaded swing weight.
Damon
Does this model not come in a 31 inch?
kemba
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat did come in a 31" but we are out of stock currently. The 2014 Easton is coming out on 8/30/2013 and 11/1/2013.
Brandon
Which bat has more pop in your opinion? The 2013 Easton XL1 or 2013 XL2?
baseball1330
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat would be my selection because it features a fully composite design.
Brandon
Just this past season I swung with a 33'' Voodoo. I am 6 '2" 205, but I'm not super strong. I'm just worried the XL might be too heavy. Would it be okay for me? if so, what size?
Ww3
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is end loaded like the DeMarini Voodoo. It will be similar in feel. if you handled the Voodoo well, the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult would work fine. Based on your height and weight we recommend a 34" bat.
Kara
I am 5'7" and I weigh 155 lbs. Which Easton bat would you recommend and what length?
Luissss
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 33" model in the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bats. For further information on sizing, please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

I am a 6'1" and 170 pounds and I normally bat 3-5 in the order. Would this bat be right for me? Plus I normally choose a 33" bat. Would that be the right size?
Tazzo
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 is an end loaded bat for a power hitter which would typically be good for a hitter that hits 3-5 in the batting order. For your height an weight we would recommend a 33-34" size.
Damon
What is the difference between the 2013 and 2012 models of the XL1?
xl1
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat will have the exact same design and feel as the previous model. Two-piece fully composite design and will have an end loaded swing weight. The colors on the bat will be slightly different.
Brandon
Which XL1 would you recommend? the '12, '13 or new 2014 model?
easton

Brandon
If I need the bat for a tournament this weekend, would it be better to get the XL2 or XL1?
tc
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult will require a break-in period before it is game ready. The 2013 Easton XL2 BBCOR: BB13X2 will be hot out of the wrapper.
Kara

gg
Yes, the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR has the BBCOR certification.
Damon
I am 15 years old, 195lb, and I am 6' 4", I have a lot of power, but I also have a high batting average, so does the XL1 or XL2 suit me better?

Noah

Aubrey
Is this bat as end loaded as the RIP-IT Prototype II BBCOR: PROB2 Adult. Thanks.
ethan
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is end loaded like the RIP-IT Prototype II BBCOR: PROB2.
Kara
Does this bat need a break-in period?
sam
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult will require a period of break-in. 200-300 swings should do the trick. Just start with some soft toss and tee work at about 50% swing power and go from there. Also, be sure to turn the barrel .25" after each swing, so you're breaking in the entire barrel.
Brandon
I just bought this bat and the warranty said I have to use leather covered balls only. Why is that?
Grod
This means that you need to use regular baseballs only. This is because other balls, such as the dimpled balls in batting cages, can damage bats.
Tori
I'm 5' 10" and I weigh 140 lbs. I hit for half power and half contact. I am looking for a new bat. If I hit for power and contact should I go with the 2013 Easton XL1 or the Easton 2013 S1?
Dorlefin
A power hitter would love the 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult bat. It would feature the extended barrel design and end loaded swing weight. If you prefer more of a balanced bat go with the S1.
Brandon
Is the only difference between the 2013 XL1 and the 2014 the color change?
Jake
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult and the 2014 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB14X1 Adult use the same composite material for outstanding performance and durability.
Kara
When will you have the 32" model in stock?
David
The 2013 Easton XL1 BBCOR: BB13X1 Adult is a discontinued model and is no longer in production because the 2014 model has been released. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that we would receive any more of this model in any size.
Mac
Im 5'6" and weigh 120. Is a 33/30 to big for me?
Cam
Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" model. The 33" Easton XL1 BBCOR (BB13X1) Adult might be a little big for you.

I'm 14 years old. I am 5 foot 9, 175 pounds. What is the best bat for me? What size would you recommend for me?
aa3
Based on your height and weight, we would recommend a 32 inch bat. The best bat for you would be based on your preferences such as balanced versus end loaded feel, what material you prefer, and the price range you want to stay in. The Easton Power Brigade Series like the XL1 (BB13X1) you were looking at offers many options that are all high quality bats. The Speed Series are balanced models and the XL models are end loaded.

Is there any difference from the 2014 model?
Rich
The composite materials are the same in the Easton XL1 BBCOR (BB13X1) and the 2014 Easton XL1 BBCO (BB14X1), The graphics is the only difference.

I am 13 years old, 6' and 190 lbs. What bat and what size should I use?
bigfoot
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 33" bat. The Easton XL1 BBCOR (BB13X1) has an end loaded swing weight and is better for power hitters. If you are more of a contact hitter, the Easton S1 has a balanced swing weight and would be better.
