Great pop, but stings like **** Chris G. Parent

Pros: Bought this bat for my 13u travel ball son. Have had Easton XL3's since 8u and loved them. This bat looks good and the pop is great when you hit the ball dead on.

Cons: If you miss hit the ball at all your hands will hurt for hours. My son chooses use his -5 XL3 or the Anderson Widowmaker I bought at the same time as this bat and I'm stuck with a vat no one wants to use.

Dang Ole Good Bat Aaron Player

Pros: Had a really good feel in the cage. It had amazing pop. It held up really well after hitting over 100 pitches. The grip helps with the balance of the bat. It didn’t feel like I was swinging an axe like some end-loadeds do. I would definitely recommend it.

Cons: Had a bit of vibration when hit on the inside of the bat.

Insane Pop Kade Player

Pros: The pop plays big on this bat. I'm a junior in college so I have swung a ton of bats and this one probably has the most pop along the barrel. I mean balls almost on the neck all the way to the cap seem to fly much better than other bats I have swung. This is coming from a guy who up to now believed all bats were equal in pop and sweet spot due to the BBCOR standards. I had previously believed you should just pick the bat based on how you like the feel and the sound. Not anymore this bat really stands out.

Cons: The feel is not good. If you miss a ball, you may send it, but it is going to hurt. Not a good bat for the cages, but an advantage in the game. Balls you think you mishit will ring your hands but it really shines on the field. I'm also not a fan of the high pitched ping. It sounds like the old BESR bats, which is just not something I personally prefer.

How much difference is there in balance between the XL and the regular version of the Alpha?
Mack Palmer
How much of a difference you feel will really depend on the player. Some will notice more of a difference than others. Most end-loaded models like the XL Alpha will have roughly a .5 oz end load, meaning the manufacturer has shifted .5 oz towards the end of the bat instead of even distributing the weight throughout.
Kyle J.
Does Easton make the Alpha XL version just for select retailers? I do not see it on the Easton website.
Nate Hartwig
The most likely reason the Alpha XL does not show on their site is that they may just be out of stock of the Alpha XL. To the best of my knowledge, it is not a limited bat that is only made and available for sale for select retailers.
Kyle J.
Out of the Easton Alpha XL, the regular Alpha, and the Easton Fuze, which one has the most pop? Which one has the longest barrel? And the biggest sweet spot? I want to hit a lot of home runs this season, but I also want to have a low strikeout rate and a very good average.
Zach
With the BBCOR certification it can be hard to separate in performance between the Easton Project 3 Alpha XL BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ALX, Alpha and the Easton, but it will predicate on how each individual bat fits the individual player. For the Easton Project 3 Alpha XL BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19ALX I would recommend for more gap to gap hitters.

Are the Alpha XL and the Z-Core XL the same bat?
Eric
This Easton Project 3 Alpha XL BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB19ALX) will have the one-piece, all-aluminum design that also features an end-load. That is the same design that was featured on the XL3s in the past. I would not say that the bats are the exact same, but the Alpha XL is a continuation model of the XL3.
Ben
Whats are the similarities and differences between this Easton Alpha 3 XL and the Rawlings 5150?
Sebastian
Both are one-piece, alloy models that will offer a stiffer feel on contact. The main difference is the Alpha 3 XL has an end-loaded swing weight for power hitters/stronger players while the Rawlings 5150 has a much more balanced, light feeling swing weight.
