Pros: This bar has good pop and a larger than normal sweet spot. My son had a great tournament the first time he used it.

Pros: Good balanced feel Generally good pop

Cons: His bat split open during practice with normal baseballs. My son is not that big of a kid at 13 he is around 100lb and he was able to put an 8” crack down the bat. That bat is being sent back for a warranty evaluation. We will see how long the replacement last.

How does this bat compare with last year's Easton Beast Pro -8 USSSA (SL19BP8)?

Both the Easton Alpha 360 -8 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20AL8 and the Easton Beast Pro -8 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL19BP8 feature a one-piece alloy design utilizing ATAC alloy. The new Alpha 360 is marketed as featuring new 360 engineering to enhance overall performance. Unfortunately, this is a newly released model so we have not been able to gather enough feedback at this time to gauge if the Alpha 360 will produce at a better clip than the Beast Pro.

Is there any difference between the construction of the 2020 Easton Alpha 360 and the older Easton Beast Speed? Based on the compare - looks to be only the price .

The main differences are the cosmetics and that the Easton Alpha 360 uses an updated ATAC alloy, rather than the thermal alloy that was used in the Beast Speed model.
