Description
DeMarini Voodoo One BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVOC22
The Voodoo One BBCOR is ready to reclaim its crown as one of the most beloved bats this upcoming season!
Bat Benefits
The Voodoo ONE delivers what most amateur batters want in a baseball bat...a light swing feel with incredible power potential. Last year’s Voodoo ONE BBCOR was a true darling of bat reviews on social media and there is no stopping the momentum the bat has gained from last season.
This rendition of the bat will feature the same X14 Alloy that was seen last season and we believe that this material will crush baseballs once again. For the Voodoo ONEs, DeMarini is able to create this X14 material with an extra lightweight feel for which both contact and power hitters will be reaching. The reason that all hitters will want this bat is that the alloy has shown incredible power performance when it barrels up a baseball (and who can’t use a little extra power???).
For this season’s model, DeMarini did switch up the construction of their end cap on the bat. They have gone with the Tracer End Cap that they say incorporates lightweight materials to improve swing speeds while also aiding the power potential of a batter!
All in all, if you’re playing high school or college baseball, definitely consider this Voodoo ONE BBCOR bat!

Average Ratings Based on 83 Customer Reviews
Pros: Balanced, great pop
Cons: None
Pros: It's a balanced, lighter in weight esp for someone 16 like my son who has been swinging wood all summer so if this is what you are looking for..this bat pops. Hitter /barrel/speed
Cons: don't blame it on the bat
Pros: Good pop, well-balanced feel
Cons: Durability. Lots of complaints about end cap breakage and knob issues. No resolution possible given the unavailability of the bat.
Pros: Best bat on market. This bat has been everything a young kid can hope for, light weight, great pop, and cool design. I have used several other BBCOR bats, and this bat by far is the best.
Cons: Hard to find in stock, but worth the wait. If you find this bat in stock and correct size, BUY IT!!
Pros: Great swing weight / exit Velo / Feel now the 2nd Demarini we have owned that broke quickly.........still awaiting warranty fulfillment from August .....
Cons: Durability/ Customer Service may be the worst ever experienced
Pros: Great bat that swings easy and provides a ton of pop
Cons: I've purchased this bat twice for my son and had to wait for 8-10 weeks each time. Both bats had the knob break off within the first 30 days. So I have to great bats that cannot be used because they have no knob.
Pros: lot of pop lightest swinging bat i’ve ever. swing
Cons: endcap broke after a month of medium use. was very careful with it due to multiple reviews about the endcap. still broke!
Pros: pop is ok but not sure bat broke soon after use.
Cons: My son had bat less than a month. The end knob completely broke off. Bat never mistreated. This is the second DeMarini bat that broke after little use. Th e Goods broke after one week. Definitely a manufacturing problem. The warranty is useless because you cannot replace bat-unavailable. Big Problem. I've called DeMarini numerous times and get the 'silent' treatment. Awful experience.
Pros: Just as good as the 21 V1 Great pop and light swinging
Cons: None but A little bit more sweet spot would make it perfect
Pros: Great pop. Looks great.
Cons: I have seen bats with durability issues over the years, but this manufacturing defect with the knob breaking off is prolific like no other. Warranty/voucher is useless since the bat is out of stock and it will just happen again if you could get another bat. Very disappointing, Demarini. Be better than that.
Pros: None
Cons: Bat broke the first time my son used it. Severe defect in the bat that needs to be fixed permanently.
Pros: Great bat with lots of pop Durable Confidence building
Cons: Availability
Pros: Well balanced Good pop
Cons: End cap cracked after two weeks of use Replacement bat is 2 months out - which is toward the end of season Plan to have a back up bat
Pros: good pop
Cons: bought 2 in november. The knobs broke off of them in less than 2 months. Don't waste your money.
Pros: Feels great, swings great, ball explodes off the bat.
Cons: Bat knob fell off in first game at-bat. This thing is a lemon. Buyer beware. Read the reviews - this isn't an anomaly. This bat won't last. Will never buy a Demarini bat again.
Pros: Feels light and good pop.
Cons: The bottom knob broke off during BP after 3 months of purchase. It must be a defect.
Pros: Hot out at of. Wrapping
Cons: Top of the bat the cap broke after 100 swings. But never hit it off the end ?????
Pros: This bat is easy to swing and feels very light. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice pop it delivers.
Cons: None at this time.
Pros: Great pop and feel.
Cons: End cap is worrisome.
Pros: Best combination of speed and power
Cons: After 4 months the black endcap broke off. Not durable at all; material the endcap is made up is light and flimsy.
Pros: Great Pop
Cons: Durability. Handle knob broke after using for less than 2 months. I have never seen a knob break off of a bat. I don't care how much pop a bat has, it should last more than 2 months.
Pros: Lots of pop. Balanced Feel
Cons: After 2 months of usage, the knob broke off and the plastic end cap is coming off as well. Looking at other reviews, this is a common problem with this bat.
Pros: Great pop and awesome swing balance
Cons: Knob keeps breaking off which interrupts players ability to keep using the same bat. Two of these bats have had the knob break off. For $350 the knob should not come off after 100-200 swings.
Pros: My son did hit a home run with the bat.
Cons: My son had the bat for two weeks and it broke. Had to return. So disappointed.
Pros: for the very limited amount of time it will last, its a really nice bat. The problem is, it WILL break. Either the knob or the end cap. Its the hottest bat out there, but its the hottest piece of junk
Cons: 1.Customer service lies, makes promises that arent true, dont input things into their system and is completely unreliable. 2. My bat last 2 cage BP sessions with baseballs before the end cap broke 3. Its nearly impossible to get anyone to answer you via email, or you can sit on hold for ever. 4. They have NO bats to replace the many that break. We have been trying to get a replacement for 3 months. Have been told 3 times a new shipment is coming in, an each time we somehow arent on the list, despite being told we were. RUN, do walk, away from Demarini. A totally dishonest, untrustworthy company.
Pros: Great swing weight to pop ratio, affordable and great feel
Cons: Smaller sweet spot, durability issues and always sold out
Pros: Ball jumping off bat
Cons: None at moment
Pros: lots of pop right out the wrapper
Cons: Nothing I can think of
Pros: Comes hot out the box. No break in required
Cons: They say knob and end cap breaks easy
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Grip doesn’t last. This bat has serious knob issues. First bat the knob came off about 9 months after we bought it. Got a replacement one in February of 22 after a month the knob came off again. Won’t be buying anymore DeMarini bats. Very disappointing.
Pros: Great pop and swing weight. Very balanced and light.
Cons: Severe durability issues. End cap was damaged, bottom of the knob fell out, and the bat developed a loud rattle. Very disappointed that a company like DeMarini puts out products with such severe quality issues. This thing would be great if it lasted...
Pros: Great when not missing end piece or knob.
Cons: It will be over a month to get replacement.
Pros: Nothing positive when you have TWO that break at the same spot. The butt end breaks off and even when they replace it with a new one it only lasted three months. Two bats did not even make it a year. GARBAGE
Cons: They will not acknowledge the ENGINEERING FLAW two years now this bat has broken at the same spot. The butt end breaks off and they continue to sell this piece of GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY THIS THEY WILL REPLACE IT ONCE THEN SAY TOO BAD YOUR OUT $400.
Pros: Great swing weight to pop ratio, feels great, looks dope.
Cons: Endcap issues, smaller sweet spot, always sold out.
Pros: The bat is super light swinging and has very nice pop
Cons: The bat broke at the end cap after less than 100 swings, didn't even last to the season. While the warranty covers endcap issues you have to pay for shipping for inspection, and the warranty is only a one time, and considering the bat broke in under a month, I have little faith the replacement will last
Pros: Just the hype of the bat from bat bros is the only positive thing.
Cons: Bought 2 new the day they were released months ago and have broken 3 end caps on 2 bats lol. With less than 200 hits in the cage.. And the knob as well. Warranty took 6 weeks for the first cap replacement. So had someone replace the end cap on second bat with a demarini factory cap that broke as well. Knob broke also. Stay away. Get a stinger missle or cat 9 and you cant hurt these bats with 10000 hits.
Pros: A weapon. Balls come off hot. High EV and. XBH after XBH. Best BBCOR ever swung.
Cons: Knob breaks off. Three JUCO teammates and I purchased our own Voodoo Ones - team issued The Goods. Less than one month into the season, three of the four had knob break off. DeMarini issued voucher as warranty replacement bc bat is out of stock.
Pros: Good pop
Cons: End cap broke after 3 months use. Does not hold up to high school use
Pros: Very light Hits hard and far for how light it is
Cons: Scared that it’ll break but hasn’t
Pros: great feel no ringing in the hands amazing pop
Cons: I prefer a skinnier tapor for better turning of the bat but an amazing bat all around
Pros: Good pop and feel
Cons: Only lasted 8 games! The knob broke off and the bat went flying into the back stop! No replacement in sight! This seems to be a recurring issue with no corrective action in place to resolve the manufacturing defect! How did this bat even make it through the testing phase? This is so disappointing coming from a long-time, high-end bat manufacturer. Hope they can make this right with their consumers!
Pros: amazing pop and balanced feel.
Cons: The end cap on the voodoo from my experience is horrible. I Hit with voodoo for about a week before it came off. If you get this bat you should most definitely get a warranty.
Pros: Awesome bat love the look big sweetspot definitely recomend
Cons: viberation but helps me learn to hit the ball better
Pros: Great Pop out of the wrapper.
Cons: received it for Christmas and it broke during live arm BP in January. Got replacement mid February and it broke again 4/28/22. Waiting on Demarini CS to determine if i can return for another replacement.
Pros: Lots of pop & a lot tougher bat then people give it credit for
Cons: Na
Pros: My 15 year old received the updated version with the new end cap and reinforced handle and it's back to the old Voodoo ways. So far 500 swings in and it's showing no wear. I gave it a 4 for durability as a "just in case: but so far, so good.
Cons: So far none.
Pros: Great sweat spot
Cons: None
Pros: Huge POP, my son loves this bat so much I'm considering buying the next size bat and sitting on it for him in college. That's how much he loves it.......
Cons: Can't find one
Pros: Until it breaks, you’ll love the bat. Lots of pop and good balanced feel.
Cons: It’s poorly made, knob came off my son’s bat within 5 months of normal use. Incredible that a $450 bat could break so easily. Will never ever buy a Demarini bat again as this is all too common with this brand and model. They’re fast becoming the Easton of junk bats.
Pros: Good pop and my son loved the feel and swing weight.
Cons: The bat is absolutely the worst I've ever seen as far as durability. It lasted 2 games. My son caught a ball on the end of the bat and it was over for the end cap. Plastic junk. Stop trying to find short cuts on quality and then try to pass it off as advances in technology of the bat. Plastic is Plastic. Crap is crap. Build a better product!!!
Pros: Has good pop and good feel. Swings lite
Cons: Durability. Knob broke completely off after just 2 months.
Pros: Light swing weight
Cons: Knob broke in less then a month Felt like the bat had zero pop compared to some bats
Pros: Very balanced. Feels light. Son says it feels lighter than his DeMarini CF Zen -5 USSSA and actually prefers this BBCOR over that bat even for travel ball where he doesn't have to use BBCOR. Stiff, son says it has little to no vibration on mishits. I've researched lots of bats and this one is great for a line drive/base hitter, I think. Reasonable price compared to many other BBCOR bats.
Cons: None so far. I've read reviews about then end cap and knob issues but none to report so far as my son has only used it in a few practices and one tournament.
Pros: Pop is one of the best around. Great feel and weight. Low vibrations
Cons: Knob broke twice within 1 year
Pros: My son LOVES this bat, and has had great results. This is the 2nd year in a row we bought the DeMarini Voodoo One BBCOR bats, and have NO REGRETS!! We do have the New designed endcap, and have seen zero issues with it. If you are interested in or trying to decide on this bat, CLICK BUY NOW, you won't regret it!
Cons: The only thing that I would be able to find is the grip tape did turn my son's batting gloves a slight reddish color. This did happen in week 1 during the first time using the bat in wet conditions, but it stopped, and the batting gloves are back to normal dirt color, lol. We have seen NO other issues like others have experienced.
Pros: Ball goes far when barreled. Light, balance feel. Miss hits are usually outs.
Cons: End cap broke twice. Have to wait for replacement for a bat that is low in supply.
Pros: Great feel with balanced swing weight. Pop right out of wrapper!
Cons: This is our replacement voo doo with new knob and end cap. The first one had the knob come off.
Pros: Only had it two weeks but feel like the bat has so much pop and is a little lighter so I am able to swing it better.
Cons: None
Pros: Balanced and nice swing weight. Very hot bat after a few hundred balls.
Cons: Knob broke off on a swing after probably 1000 cuts. Sent for replacement and the replacement bat lost it's knob in probably 500 cuts. Just taped it back on and called it good enough for now.
Pros: Have not had any issues with this bat used it in several different lengths great bat
Cons: None
Pros: Great balanced bat for power hitters that don't need end-loaded technology. Comfort handle and wide sweet spot.
Cons: The Biggest Con would have to be it's durability. We're on the third bat because of issues with the endcap. It's hard to be consistent at the plate when the tool seems to always breakdown during in season play. For the money should be a stronger design.
Pros: 33 and 34 are lightning rods. 34 may be the craziest bat In bbcor balanced light swing weight above average sweet spot and pops velos and distance w nuke and goods 2 the missile 2 is also awesome but to light
Cons: Second hand sales price u can factory order one your choice of colors for less than used plus a 1 year warranty
Pros: Very light for quicker swing speed.
Cons: Sometimes stings hands of off the end of the bat
Pros: Great bat has tons of pop and it’s a really light swing weight
Cons: End cap braking
Pros: Swings light
Cons: Balls off the hand aren’t the greatest.
Pros: Bat has most pop of a drop 3.
Cons: Bat will not last a month and DeMarini can not get you a replacement. End cap and knob break after very little use. The warranty is not there if you can't get a replacement. If you want to use this bat, you have to buy two so you might have one that isn't broken. The company is SLOW to issue warranty and won't extend it even if you go without a bat for half a year. I bought two but will not next time.
Pros: So far so good. Great pop and my son really loves it as well as his teammates. I was worried about some of the reviews but so far it’s been great.
Cons: None yet
Pros: If you square the ball up it has very good pop. So far the durability has been fine for me, and also a very light swinging bat.
Cons: The sweet spot isnt very big on it get a goods or blue meta other than this.
Pros: None
Cons: I have had eight of these bats. All bats have broken at the knob.
Pros: My son just turned 13 and received this bat for his birthday. He absolutely loves it. He had a tryout this past weekend and hit 6 home runs over center and left center walls
Cons: None so far. We read some bad reviews about the nib and top plate breaking but ours has held up great.
Pros: Grip is perfect. Sounds so sweet when you hit it right. Barrel is perfect size
Cons: None
Pros: Great Pop!
Cons: Durability Issues, Demarini Customer Service is Terrible. Knob broke after 4 months and Demarini issued us a voucher that can only be used on their site. Product is out of stock and no anticipation of any stock for the rest of this year.
Pros: The bat is super hot and lightweight!
Cons: Broke after 1 month…
Pros: Very light swing weight for a BBCOR is making the transition from -5 pretty smooth. Nice pop so far
Cons: Expected vibration from a one piece on mishits
Pros: Is exactly like the goods just more balanced.
Cons: Durability but it does have a warranty
Pros: Probably the best feeling bat ive swung, light and easy to get through the zone. Smashes the ball.
Cons: Heard about lots of durability issues so hopefully that doesn't happen.
Pros: Nice balance and pop.
Cons: Base knob broke off in the batting cage. Horrible durability. Didn’t even last though the season.
Pros: This bat is an awesome bat. Greats amount of pop and forgiving. Sweet spot is pretty big and overall feels really good.
Cons: Durability! DO NOT get this bat if you are concerned about durability. The knob and endcap are very fragile, as I have already broken the end cap twice. Plus, the warranty is only good for a year, and ONCE. If you smart though, you'll read every pitch right and not hit the endcap lol. If you aren't concerned or plan to be gentle with the bat, I DEFINETLY recommend.
Pros: Light bat with a long barrel and a lot of pop
Cons: No cons so far
Pros: Purchased the 33" model. Bat is VERY balanced. It feels like a toothpick coming through the zone. Even off the hands, the ball still flies off the bat. More juice than my 2016 Voodoo Raw, and that thing was absolute gas. Set a new Exit Velo PR (I average about 83-85 exit velo, hitting 91 as a PR off a machine) Sweet spot is a little smaller, but it's still easy to find barrel, even if there is a little bit of vibration. Used it in a men's league tournament and was able to make solid contact in 5 of 8 at bats and produced a double, a few singles and a few RBIs (no dingers yet). Overall, I'd say this works for a 5'6 170 pound versatile hitter that has always swung super end loaded bats.
Cons: The grip is a little lousy, but nothing to remove a star for. Not sure whether I've got too sweaty of hands in batting gloves or not, but within 30 minutes of game use, the Tiger Stick and tacky spray had to be broken out, fixing the grip issue. The taper is a little bit small to my liking (I like a fatter taper like on my AM22 , but it's tolerable.
Pros: Good feeling, light swing, good pop, when you get hold of a ball just right it really flies, decent sweet spot
Cons: Cosmetic durability, hasn’t hurt the performance
Pros: not many 29 inch BBCOR options. This checked all the boxes. We heard about the durability issues. I was worried. Ours has not had any problems. I waited to do this review until we had had it for a while. we have had it 4-5 months and hit with it a ton. its holding up just fine. Its been a wonderful first BBCOR bat!
Cons: none
Pros: great pop
Cons: end cap

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
