Launchpad Max Baseball & Softball Thumb Guard
$28.99
Launchpad Max Baseball & Softball Thumb Guard
A highly innovative, performance-driven piece of protective gear designed specifically to sit in the hands of elite hitters. Built to eliminate the awkward bulk of traditional, outdated thumb guards, the Launchpad Max has quickly become a clubhouse favorite—frequently used by Will from the Baseball Bat Bros during intense exit velocity testing to lock in grip comfort and combat severe handle vibration.
What sets the Launchpad Max apart is its patented, bat-shaped channel design. Unlike universal guards that require you to awkwardly alter your hands around the handle, this guard features a specialized curved pivot point that naturally cradles the bat, sliding it seamlessly into the fingers for optimized whip and maximum swing speed. When you catch a high-and-tight fastball off the handle, the built-in shock absorption compression holes instantly collapse to disperse the sting before it ever reaches your hands. If you are looking for an unobtrusive, professional-grade guard that keeps you confident against inside heat, the Launchpad Max is built to elevate your game.

Description
The Brett Brothers entered the bat business with the goal of ensuring that coaches at all levels of baseball have access to superior quality composite wood bats that are cost effective. Consistency and durability were the primary factors when establishing their bat designs. The Brett Brothers have been involved in baseball their entire lives, through Bobby and John's Minor League careers to the Professional careers of Ken and George. The Brett Brothers know baseball. Even today baseball is an important part of their lives, with each brother being involved in their own way. George, who is still a part of the Kansas City Royals Organization and a hometown hero here in Kansas City, was a career .305 hitter with 3 Batting Titles, a 1985 World Series Ring and an induction to the Hall of Fame in 1999 to round out his 21-year career in Kansas City. Not only did he prove to be a consistent hitter he showed that he had the knowledge to succeed. The Brett Brothers understood that having reliable wood was an important component. The GOBON#5 bat is the best-engineered wood bat in the world. It's precision balanced with each bat having a cupped end, and all bats feature the worldwide patent pending Bamboo Super Core Technology that is surrounded by a maple barrel for the utmost durability. Brett Brothers: The Very Best in Baseball! The GOBON271 is BBCOR Certified and legal for high school and collegiate play. Free Shipping!

Go Hard Maple for Pop Nick Player
Pros: The durability of bamboo makes a bamboo bat a great "team bat". I took it to the D-Bat Baseball Academy in San Antonio, TX and slapped the ball around with general ease. It gets the job done and will be there in case your go-to hard maple and back-up hard maple get busted. And, of course, it's a decent option for the goofball on the team who just won't buy a bat for some reason.
Cons: Less pop than hard maple.
Solid, durable, reliable. Brian Highkin Player
Pros: I got this bat because I kept breaking bats in practice. I haven't broken one since. This thing is super durable and doesn't ring you up that bad if you hit it off the hands or the end either. I swing 34 in 31 oz and it doesn't swing heavy. I feel like I have a lot of control.
Cons: My men's league doesn't allow bamboo, so I can't use it in games. Also more of a balanced feel rather than end-load, and I like end load better, but that's personal preference. Narrower barrel profile than the bat I swing in games but that's fine and also personal preference.
Love the bat Don Player
Pros: Feels great in my hands. Balanced so perfectly it feels like a natural extension of my body.
Cons: None
Great bat overall! Craig Harter Parent
Pros: This bat was purchased for a 14U travel 'wood bat' tournament. My son hasn't put this bat down since it came in the mail. He felt that he would be at a disadvantage for the tournament by being confined to using a wood bat only, but was surprised to see the accuracy and pop.
Cons: My son hasn't had much background in using a wood bat, so there are no 'cons' to compare it to.
Great Bat Adam Potter Parent
Pros: This is a great wooden bat. We’ll balanced. Good pop.
Cons: Arrived with a few dings in it.
Just Bats saved me Michael A Player
Pros: I love this bat. This bat has a ton of pop for a reasonable price. What is even better is the service at JB. I broke the bat at a tournament and call JB at 3:30PM and asked if they could get me another bat shipped to my hotel overnight. It's 10:00AM the next morning and I'm looking at the bat. They even waived the overnight fee. Great bat, great service.
Cons: It did finally break after using it for a year. I did use it every day for live bp and on the machine.
Early review is very positive Chris Parent
Pros: My son had a 32” maple bat that he was having a hard time getting his hands inside with ($20 uncupped blem bat). We got this and we hit about 200 balls off the tee and soft toss. He really enjoyed the feel, the grip was a little rough so his grip his good (he doesn’t wear batting gloves).
Cons: There was a decent blemish at the edge of the cupped area. Didn’t affect performance, hopefully will not affect durability.
GET THIS BAT!!! Scott Hazzard Parent
Pros: First bought my son a Brett Bros bat last season. All he did was bat .470 over 38 games as a sophomore and while that bat is still useable for this season, we always like to upgrade every year. We went with the Gobon this year, same cut. The season is still young (because of covid) but through 5 games this bat has 3 singles, a 3R HR, and 2 Grandslams. He is tearing it up right now. I’ll never buy another brand wood bat again!
Cons: None!!! Love it!
Brett Bats for life Daniel Player
Pros: Big barrel Thin handle Good knob Balanced but just top heavy enough Great pop on the sweet spot I've owned a total of 7 Brett bats since 2003(!) andthis model is easily the best I've had.
Cons: None
Great Bat Lefty player
Pros: This bat has a very solid feel. I hit a fastball off the handle, and actually thought I broke it. Felt just like when you break a bat. The bat never broke, or even cracked. Next ball hit was solid, and felt great. Very durable bat, and feels much more dense on contact than a standard one piece maple bat. Great pop for a wood bat.
Cons: You can see where the fiberglass wrap ends. Also, the serial number sticker looks cheap. But, the rest of the bat finish is great. And, performance far outweighs the finish flaws.
Best Bat I have Ever Used Brett player
Pros: Pop is great Feels great in my hands Very Well Balanced
Cons: I am on my second Brett Bros Bat as I Broke my first one after 2 years of continuous use in practice and in my Wood Bat Baseball league. But what Bat wouldn't break after all that for this price.
BK57
Pros: The feel for this bat is great. Fit, finish, top notch.Impressed so far-would buy another...worth the price..
Cons: The cosmetics make you believe the barrel is smaller than other bats. Its not.
El Du'ke
Pros: great weight and pop. like this model the way the nob is flared out a little for big hands and choke up a little for people with small hands. does not cost a whole lot of money. I get a lot of hard line drives with this bat
Cons: Wish it had a bigger Barrel that's about it
Dirtdad
Pros: So far, all I can say is wow. My son just turned 12 and was hitting wit the Brett Bros. Stealth 271 youth model which he outgrew (not broke). This minus three is weighted so weel that he can whip it like his 24-ounce game bat. Durable and great looking, I'll never buy anything else but Brett Bros.
Cons: nothing
Augie
Pros: This bat has good pop on the barrell. Overall this bat is amazing!!!
Cons: It gets chip on the top a little but should be okay to use.
bomber14
Pros: long-lasting and good feel. nice weight distribution.
Cons: after a while of using the pop just left, and now there isn't much pop on the sweet spot
matty
Pros: durability, price compared to other composites
Cons: when you don't barrel it up it HURTS! doesn't send ball as far as you think it should
BBall Dad
Pros: We bought this bat for my son to use in batting lessons and practice. He has hit 2 to 3 buckets a week of soft toss and the same of live pitching every week for over a year with this bat. We have 2 others tht have this bat and they are the only ones that are not broken. Great bat. Still has very good pop.
Cons: I need to buy the 32" now and it is hard to get rid of a perfectly good 31".
b-baller
Pros: best trampoline ever on a wood bat! used a whole winter in a hitting center and it didn't break.
Cons: none
Baseball_King
Pros: Awsome bat! Hit w/ it against a machine pitching about 80. It was one of few bats that didn't break.
Cons: A little bumpy part in the middle, i think it's the transition from bamboo to maple... kinda weird but doesn't affect the bat as far as I know.
Jr. Rocket
Pros: Good size barrel excellent balance. The handle feels good not too thin not too thick. Great looking stick. These guys ship it fast.
Cons: I can't afford to buy 11 more for the team.
Steve74
Pros: My longest lasting wood bat so far.
Cons:

About the Brand
The Brett Brothers “entered the bat business with the goal of ensuring that coaches at all levels of baseball have access to superior quality composite wood bats that are cost effective." The Brett Brothers have been involved in baseball their entire lives. We are four brothers and all of us played professional ball at one time. Bobby and John played in the Minor Leagues, and Ken and George together put in 31 years in the Major Leagues.
Not only did we play baseball because we were good, we truly loved the game. Even today we closely follow the sport. George still works for the Kansas City Royals. Ken has been a broadcaster for 11 years with Fox. Bobby runs our professional franchises here in Spokane, the baseball Indians and the hockey Chiefs. The oldest brother John is a frequent visitor here to see his brothers and watch our teams play.
Like most baseball families, it all started in a small Southern California town call El Segundo. The boys are all about two years apart, and we had some kind of sporting event about every night. I remember most of our family meals were hot dogs, and everything was on the fly. Our parents were always there to cheer for us, and our lives were generally very happy.
Ken was the first to sign a pro contract at age 17. He was the fourth player taken in the annual draft by the Boston Red Sox. When their scout Joe Stephenson came to sign him, our dad said, "the one you really want is the skinny, barefooted one, George." George in 1966 was all of 12 years old.
If you move up the clock to 1971, George was a senior, and Joe Stephenson desperately wanted him to be Boston's #1 pick. The Red Sox said no, and the Kansas City Royals took George in round #2. The rest is history. Ken played 11 years for numerous teams. George turned out to be exactly the player our late father envisioned. He was a 3-time winner of the Batting Title in three different decades. He was very consistent, and always played the game very hard. He was the greatest Royal, and still makes his home in Kansas City. In the summer of 1999, he was awarded Baseball's highest award, election to the Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
In the spring of 1998, the Tridiamond Bat Company needed a place to "try out" their new baseball bats. Because the Bretts owned the only local professional team, an association was formed. When Tridiamond got both NCAA and Major League approval to sell bats, they needed some baseball help. At this time we bought into the company and changed the name to Brett Bats.
