Pros: Great pop on the sweet spot. Trampoline effect is definitely felt on contact and is comfortable and not violent like some of the bats I've used. The resistant texture on the bat seems to definitely help with paint chips. Also, i have not completely broke the bat in yet but out of the box it has good pop so i am rating it higher in hopes it will continue to provide satisfactory pop.
Cons: Make sure you can hit the sweet spot. just testing the feel of the different spots of the bat i noticed quite a bit of vibration closer to the handle. this is common for most two piece bats, but i was not expecting it with a solid one piece bat. Not enough to require a lower rating, just a warning.
Pros: does have good pop right out the box. Graphics are okay, grip is nice.
Cons: this was my first one piece bat. Not a fan at all. sweet spot is very small, the closer you get to the handle it has quite a vibration and it hurts. I went and bought the Miken manic, it's a two-piece alloy bat. way more pop, it's harder and farther, feels way better. Plus The Sweet Spot as much larger.

How does this composite construction compare to the softball bat alloys of the 70's and 80's?

This Louisville Slugger Solo Z Balanced USSSA / ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (WTLSOA16B) will hit the ball harder than the aluminum slow pitch bats of the 1970s and 1980s.
Is the ASA label stamped on this bat? I don't see it in this pic. Our league requires the label.

The Louisville Slugger Solo Z Balanced USSSA / ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: WTLSOA16B does feature the ASA stamp. You can find this stamp just above the USSSA stamp.
Is the handle tapered and is it legal for senior softball?

The Louisville Slugger Solo Z Balanced USSSA / ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: WTLSOA16B does not feature SSUSA certification on the bat. As long as the league does not require this then the bat should be fine to use (features USSSA/ASA stamps). As for the handle, the grip tape is slightly thicker at the bottom.
