Pros:  It's an Easton!! Great quality, amazing pop, sweet looking bat!! My daughter's 1st composite bat was an Easton. We've tried other bats but nothing beats this brand. Now she plays for Easton Preps 16U-Tacdol. This bat is a beauty but you become a beast once you hold it in your hands and hit that ball over the fence. Absolutely LOVE this bat!

Cons:  There's nothing bad I can say about the bat or brand. You won't be disappointed.

Pros:  Hits great while it lasts...

Cons:  Daughter loved this bat and used it for spring/summer of one travel season -- tucked it away in her bag and switched to a Demarini last fall -- took this bat out to use on a nice sunny day this weekend and it cracked! About a month out of warranty... Wasn't abused and wasn't used in cold weather.

Daughter is 13, 5'7" been playing for a while, she's tried other bats. she's very strong and has a good build, what should she use?

Unfortunately, we no longer have any inventory of this 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF10. However based on your player's specifications, I would recommend looking at the 32" size of the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF11.

Daughter is 15, 5'9" 145. Been playing for 5 yrs, good swing strength. Currently uses a 33" -13. Coach says it's too light. What should she use?

Based on your daughter's height, weight and age we would recommend getting a -10 model, like the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF10, in a 33 inch model.

I'm trying to decide between the the Easton Stealth Flex -10 and the Louisville Slugger Xeno -10. My daughter is 15 and has been playing competitive ball since she was 7. She has had great luck with her Xeno in the past but her bat just broke so I am just looking at other options before just replacing with another Xeno. Any preferences or opinions about the Easton Stealth would be great.

The Easton Stealth Flex is a very nice bat for a contact/doubles type hitter and is designed to have an extremely balanced and light feeling swing.

My daughter is 5'6" tall and weighs 150 lbs. Is a 32"/22 oz the right size for her?

We would probably recommend a 33" length of bat for her height and weight, although a 32" could also work, especially if she stands closer to the plate.

My daughter is 5'10" about 160 pounds. Is a 34" (-10) the right size for her?

Based on your player's height and weight, I would recommend this 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP17SF10) in the 34"/24 oz size.

How does this bat compare to the FP172F11?

The 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF10 is going to provide you an additional ounce per length. These -10 and -11 numbers are known as the "drop" weight. The drop weight is determined by subtracting the length by the weight. Therefore if you have a 30" -10 bat, it will always weigh 20oz. The benefit the -10 2017 Stealth Flex has over the -11 is a slight increase in durability because of the additional weight.

My daughter is a beginner softball player, she's about 5 foot 2 125 pounds. What size bat do you recommend?

I would recommend your player to swing a 32 inch bat. I would also recommend either a -10 drop weight like the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF10 or a -11 drop weight like the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF11 depending on your players strength.

My daughter is 13 years old, 5ft. 2 in. and around 120 lbs. She has been using an Easton 30 in./18 oz (drop 12) for 2 seasons. She is a mid-range hitter. What size (and drop weight) would you suggest in this Easton Stealth bat?

Based on your player's age, height and weight, I would recommend purchasing this 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP17SF10) in the 32"/22 oz. size. I think a drop 10 (like this bat) would be a good fit for your player but if it feels too heavy, you might consider checking out a 32"/21 oz., drop 11 bat.

Taylor Expert
143762 Click to show/hide answer

My 13 year old daughter is 5'7 and weighs 126 pounds. She has played softball since she was 4. She can play every position, but has been fast pitching since she was 8. She is tall, skinny, but very strong and broad-shouldered. February starts her 2nd year (season) as starting pitcher on her JV high school team. Is the 2016-2017 Easton Stealth Flex 33in/23oz a good choice for her? She will need to use this bat for at least 2 years, and I'm sure she is going to continue to grow taller and taller.

I would still recommend the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF10 in a 33 inch and 23 ounce even with the consideration of your player continuing to grow. She would need a fairly significant growth spurt to make the jump to a 34 inch.

We are trying to decide between the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 and the DeMarini CF9. Our daughter is 5’0" and 95 pounds. She has been hitting with a 31/21 -10, and will be moving to 32/22 -10. She is a strong hitter, typically 3 or 4 in the line up. Any recommendations on which bat?

The 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF10 and the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFP are very similar bats. Both offer a well balanced swing weight, and a two piece fully composite design. Both are great options made by well established companies, so it would just come down to personal preference.

What bat do you suggest for my daughter-she's about 5'3" and weighs ~100. She currently uses an Easton FS3 32in. Is the Stealth flex a good option?

Based on her height and weight, its suggested that she uses a 32" bat. The Easton Sealth Flex -10 Fastpitch softball Bat (FP17SF10) is a great bat. t does not require a break in period and is a two piece composite bat. That allows for vibration reduction as well as flex.

Is this a good bat for my 12U going into 14U? I don't want to buy a bat she outgrows in 1 season.

I think the 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP17HL12) would be a good option for your 12U player, especially if she is more comfortable with a lighter bat. If you anticipate your player to grow in the next few years, you might consider getting a heavier bat, like this 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP17SF11).

My granddaughter is 11 yrs, 5'4" 110 lbs. She uses a Rawlings Storm. She's getting the bat on the ball every time up but if they play back she's having a problem getting the ball out of the infield.

The 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 is a great bat that we have received really good feedback on. I would also recommend she use a 32'' bat if she is not already.

Do you recommend this bat in a 30" or the Xeno -11 in a 28"?

Both bats are excellent models, but I would probably lean towards the Louisville Slugger Xeno over the Easton Hyperlite myself, but both are good choices.

My daughter is 11, and she currently uses a 29'' 17 oz. I want to upgrade her bat. I was wondering will this bat with its weight have a faster swing even though it weighs 1 oz more than her old bat? She is 55” tall and weighs 60 lbs. She is very lightweight, and needs a faster swing with pop for her size.

The 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 is a two-piece, evenly balanced bat so it can be very beneficial to someone who needs help with swing speed. Since you are moving her up in weight, I would recommend staying at a 29'' bat. As long as she is strong enough to handle the extra ounce, it will definitely be beneficial to have a balanced bat with some extra weight.

My daughter will turn 11 in June and this will be her 1st year playing fastpitch softball. She's approximately 5'3" and 130 lbs what bat would you recommend?

I would recommend the 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 in a 32 inch bat length. I think the -12 drop weight will benefit a player just starting out because of the lighter feel.

Dan Expert

My daughter is 12 years old, 5'5, and 95lbs. Do you recommend this bat or the Louisville Xeno Plus?

Based off the information you've provided, I would recommend swinging a 32" bat. Both the 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 and the 2017 Louisville Slugger XENO Plus Fastpitch Softball Bat: FPXN170 are excellent options. I would take your players strength into account when deciding between these two bats. Both the Hyperlite and the Xeno Plus feature two-piece, composite construction with balanced swing weights. However, the Hyperlite will be two ounces lighter than the Xeno Plus.

My daughter used an Easton CXN 30 drop 12. last year. She is in 8th grade grew a couple of inches and needs a new bat. While still on the small side (4’9” and 96 lbs) she has a really sound swing and very good power for her size. We are looking for a bat with serious power to help her pop. Thinking of the Hyperlite 32 drop 12. Thoughts?

This 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 is a solid option for your player. However, I would recommend going with a heavier option if you are looking for additional power. Maybe check out the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF11.

Based on what you have told us about your daughter and her height and weight we would recommend a 31"/19 ounce 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 for her.

I have an 8 1/2 year old who is about 4'10" tall and roughly 65 lbs. What size/weight would she need?

We would probably suggest a 30" length for her height and weight. As for weight of the bat, we can't really recommend that as things like strength and other factors affect that, but generally -10 to -12 are the most common drops for that age.

If you think this bat will be too light, I would recommend the 2017 Easton Stealth Flex -11 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17SF11 which also features a two-piece, fully composite design, but will be one ounce heavier.

I have a 14 and 16 year old who are playing high school, 5’5 and weigh 140 to 160 lbs. What bat would you suggest?

We would recommend a 33"/21 ounce 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 for both payers.

Does it come in composite 33 x 23 and 2 1/4?

The 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 is a -12 bat, so a 33" would weigh 21 ounces. The 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP17HL12 is a composite bat, and features a 2 1/4" barrel diameter.

I purchased the FS3 last year for my daughter in 28"/16 oz. It actually weighed right at 18 oz. As well, she complained that it stung her hands and it was heavy. (1) Is the Hyperlite closer to the listed weight? (2) Is the Hyperlite forgiving (in regard to vibration reduction)?

(1) It is almost industry standard that bats will have a static weight around 0.5 oz to 1.5 oz over the listed weight (sometimes even more). I would imagine that this 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP17HL12) will have a static weight that is at least 1.5 oz over the listed weight. (2) Typically, the 2-piece bats do a solid job of limiting vibration. As well, we haven't gotten any bad remarks yet on vibration being emitted from this bat on miss-hits.

Is there a real difference between this bat and the Easton FS3 FP16S312? If so what? My daughter currently uses the FP16S312 31in drop 12, is there a benefit or harm going to a lighter bat? My daughter is 5-11 and weighs 81 pounds.

The main difference between the 2017 Easton Hyperlite Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP17HL12) and the 2016 Easton FS3 CXN ZERO Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP16S312) is the type of composite used. The Hyperlight uses the HYPERLITE Composite while the FS3 uses the IMX Advanced Composite Barrel. They are very comparable in feel and performance. It is really just personal preference if she wants to go with the lighter option. There is not necessarily any benefit or harm, just what that individual player prefers.
