Pros: Biggest drop for a 27" bat Great price Nice colors for a young player I've recommended this bat for some of our younger players
Cons: None yet
Pros: Perfect bat for my daughter who is just starting 6U softball - I haven't found a softball bat length with this amount of drop in any box store. The price is very reasonable. Colors are great.
Pros: Great look, great feel, and good pop.
Cons: First use at the batting case cracked the bat. It was the first ever use of the bat.
Pros: lite, lite, lite my middle girl was having a hard time get the head of bat out . We Had a 28/16.5 and 27/16 boy dose this bat make it all better the drop allows her to put the bat in the strike zone and still have push for her little size (40lbs) . now them infield outs or sharp hit liner over short stop . Thanks just bats and combats for thinking of the smallest of players!!
Cons: just broke it it in so done now hope it last cause at this price if she breaks it im ordering to more ..
Pros: Needed a light bat for my daughter. She is small and needed a light bat to keep her balance. Working great!
Cons: None yet.
Pros: Light with really good pop
Cons: Busted the bat after two weeks of use. My daughter is 6 and is an average player. She is not big and powerful, she is 6 years old and 49 lbs. Great bat with with poor durability.
Pros: lite ,lite , lite my 7yr is small and long she at 40lbs wet with cloths, shoes and jacket on she had A hard time getting the bal around with 26 or 27 in the 16or17 range well combat came thru for the smallest of player ! She can hit 10,15 and even 20 in row with easy !! Perfect for the smallest of hitter
Cons: No sound she hit a 100 ft line drive shot and nothing kind a crack but thats it
Pros: love the drop 14 weight. my 6 yr olddaughter is on the smaller side but we moved her up to 8U and we were worried about her being able to hit the speeds but she got a hit in her 1st AB!!!
Pros: my daughter loved the colors
Cons: my 7 year old daughter cracked this bat in 3 weeks. manufacturer sent us a new one with free shipping label but still cost $17 to ship at ups. :(
Pros: light, good pop
Cons: cracked after one week of use
Pros: Awesome pop. My daughter is 7, very small kid and can't swing the typical 28'' -11 bats that the other kids in tournament ball swing. But she can smash the ball with this bat.
Cons: It will crack if hit on the handle or the very end. We had 6 on my team and they all cracked with in 1 to 2 tournaments. With the manufacturers warranty and just bats customer service I went ahead and ordered 5 more and try to get through with them.
Pros: Very light bat with tremendous pop. perfect for my 65 lb daughter who plays 10U travel ball. I was putting them over the fence without trying. Not end loaded which is difficult for younger girls to swing. Very balanced.
Cons: Had to send it in as it broke after 6 months of use. not sure how it broke but would have replaced with the same bat but they disnt have it anymore.
Pros: great pop
Cons: used the bat this whole season went and done batting practice today and my daughter is 11 but is small broke this bat half into
Pros: lightweight for my 7 year old. She was able to hit with it very well.
Cons: It will not last! She had the first one for less than a month and it completely broke in half when she hit a ball. Second one only lasted a little over a week and cracked in a game.
Pros: Great drop
Cons: Cracked after less than a month of use. The bat is cheap for a reason.
Pros: Light weight
Cons: Several of our team mates have this bat and ALL have cracked
Pros: I have a very small 7 year old and this was about the only composite bat we could find in a 26"
Cons: This bat did not last long at all one good hit and it busted all the way around and because they do not make them now they can only replace it with and aluminum Easton bat!
Pros: Lightweight for my 6 year old to swing.
Cons: only used a hanful of times and the bat cracked!
Pros: The lizard skin grip.
Cons: My 7 year old daughter broke this bat in half in less than 2 months. She used it in 11 games and roughly 6-8 practices. Less than a 100 hits. If a 7 year old can shatter this bat then its junk!!!!!
Pros: low cost
Cons: it cracks way too easy. My 6 year old cracked 2 of them in 4 months
Pros: Lightweight for an 8 year old that she can use for several more years. Well made product. Color scheme it not too much
Cons: none so far
Pros: Amazing Pop!!! Little Girls can hit big!
Cons: My 7 year old didn't make it 6 games with this bat. I knew it would break from other review so she only used it in game play thinking it would make the whole season. Terrible durability. Though it did fly when hit.
Pros: It worked well for my 10 year old. Light weight, nice looking bat. She hit fairly well with it.
Cons: We just started a new season and the bat is cracked. That stinks as now I have to purchase another one.
Pros: Bat looks great and the drop 14 ratio sounded great
Cons: I purchased one of these bats and it has massive cracks down the barrel with very little use from my 7 year old. We also know of two other players which purchased this bat and have had the same issue with barrel cracking. Would not purchase this bat again. Complete waste of money!
Pros: This bat is the perfect size for my daughter
Cons: daughter says it stings when she hit the ball
Pros: Great bat for my granddaughter playing softball in her first year. Light for quick swing, love the lizard skin grip. Lots of pop, great choice
Cons: Very plain design
Pros: Great balance, broader barrel with a more forgiving sweet spot, more control at the hands for last minute adjustments to the pitch vs an end-loaded bat. Our 13 y.o. daughter loves it. Great for slapping, but has plenty of pop to let loose and drive the ball. Definitely an advantage with the grip wrapped left handed for better control. Highly recommended for lefties who are slap/contact hitters or are looking for high OBP.
Cons: None so far
Pros: the pop straight out of the wrapper is amazing

I am looking for this bat but in a size 28" or 29" for fast pitch softball. Where can I purchase it?
We do not have any available for purchase, and we are not aware of the inventory levels of other vendors unfortunately. Your best bet would probably be Ebay, Craigslist, or another site such as that where used items are often sold.
Can this bat be used in Pony Shetland 6U?
Since the Shetland Division appears to be T-Ball, I believe that this 2017 COMBAT Maxum -14 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7MX114) would be okay for use. However, to be safe, I might recommend asking the league if it will be permitted as it is a fastpitch bat and only features an ASA certification stamp on it.
Does the 27 in 13 oz bat have a USSSA stamp?
The 2017 COMBAT Maxum -14 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP7MX114 will only feature the ASA certification stamp.
Does this bat meet intramural requirements? Have the official softball stamp and ASA stamp?
I would not recommend this 2017 COMBAT Maxum -14 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7MX114) bat for intramural slowpitch play as it is a fastpitch bat. It will say "Official Softball", but it does not have the ASA stamp that is needed for slowpitch softball (ASA stamp for fastpitch and slowpitch are different).
Can this bat be used for USSSA?
Unfortunately, the 2017 COMBAT Maxum -14 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7MX114) only features the ASA stamp. This bat would not be approved for play in USSSA.
My daughter is almost 8, 48" tall and around 50 pounds. Which bat size is best for her?
Based on her height and weight, we recommend a 26" 2017 COMBAT Maxum -14 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP7MX114).
Is this bat certified for Babe Ruth softball?
This bat doesn't seem to be listed under the illegal bats for Babe Ruth softball, so it should be legal. For more detailed information you should ask your league commissioner.
What is the BPF of this bat?
Unfortunately, the 2017 COMBAT Maxum -14 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP7MX114 does not have a BPF rating since it is just ASA certified.
Got a question about the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA ? Ask our team of experts, and they will respond within 24 hours.Ask A Question OR
What is the ideal bat size for a girl that is 60in tall and weighs 120lbs?
Given those specifications, I would say that generally a 31" bat would the ideal size. Unfortunately, we do not have any 31" options available in this 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA.
Is the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat available in a 31â€/21 oz?
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper is made in a 31"/21 oz, but we are sold out of that size so it is not listed on our site.
Would this bat be a good one to use even though I'm not a slap hitter. I'm a power hitter so I wouldn't know if this is the bat to choose.
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA is grip tape oriented to maximize feel/comfort for lefty hitters. If you are not a slap hitter, I would not recommend getting a slap specific bat. A better option for you might be the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Insane Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFI. The end-loaded swing weight is very beneficial to power hitters.
Does this bat come in -13?
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA is only made in a -10 length to weight ratio.
I haven't found many reviews on this bat. I have however found many reviews on the DeMarini CF8-10 DXCFA "Slapper". How does this bat compare to the CF8 -10 DXCFA Slapper?
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA features a Paraflex Composite barrel which is stronger than the Paradox Plus+ used on the DeMarini CF8 -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: DXCFA "Slapper." Other than this slight change, the bats are very similar with the 2017 model being mostly a continuation of the CF8.
My daughter is a lefty and likes to slap but also likes to drive the ball. Is this a good combo bat?
Yes, you would be able to slap and drive the ball well with the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA. The longer barrel will help with slap hitting but not hinder the ability to drive the ball.
Looking at this bat for my daughter. I need a 33"/23 oz (-10) size. Is this bat end-loaded?
This 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFA) is not end-loaded. If you wanted a CF series fastpitch bat in the 33"/23 oz size with an end-load, I would recommend the 2018 DeMarini CFX Insane -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFI).
My daughter is 5'4", 118 lbs and she has the CF7 (32/22) bat now for hitting and slapping. She has been using this bat for 2 years now. Should I move her up to the CF9 (33/23)? She is a power hitter and pretty good at slapping.
Whether or not to move your daughter up to the 33/23 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA will depend more on how you feel she is currently handling the 32/22 bat as well as if she has grown any since that purchase. We have a bat coach feature that allows a customer to enter a player's height and weight to determine proper length and we would recommend using this to see if a 33 would be advisable.
Could you please tell me if these bats are ASA certified stamp (ASA 2000 or ASA 2004 for Fast Pitch) or the ISF certified stamp note that beginning in 2015 only the ISF 2005 “plate stamp Also do you ship to New Zealand.
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA will feature, and be approved for, the following stamps: ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. Unfortunately though we are only able to ship within the 50 US States.
Is this a one piece bat? Also what is a slapper bat? Can a right hander use this bat?
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFA) is a two piece composite bat. The slapper means it is designed for left handed slap style hitters. A right hand hitter can us the bat, but it will cause damage to the grip tape.
Hi are there any differences between the 16, 17 and 18 slapper bats? Are there other slapper bats recommended? My daughter is a left handed slapper and has the 16 model and loves it.
Each year the Slapper's gain some new technologies but have similar features. The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA would be very close to the 2016 a good fit for your daughter.
Does this bat need to be broken in? if so how long?
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA is a composite bat, so we would suggest 150-200 swings off a tee or soft toss while rotating the barrel 1/4 turn between swings to give the bat a nice, even break in.
Can a left-handed batter use this bat the same as the slapper?
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFA) is designed for slap hitters, however, a non slapper hitter could use it as well. It is gripped for lefties.
Can a girl that is a power hitter achieve the same results using the CF9 Slapper as she would using the CF9 WTDXCFP?
The 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFA) is designed for slap hitters and if a girl was a power hitter we would recommend the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFP).
What is the difference between the CF8 Slapper bat and the CF9 Slapper bat?
The main difference between the 2016 DeMarini CF8 -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat (DXCFA) "Slapper" and the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat (WTDXCFA) is going to be the composite used. The CF9 Slapper uses Paraflex Composite Barrel which is 22% Stronger Carbon Fibers Compared to Paradox+ Composite that the CF8 Slapper uses.
Do they make a 30" version? Based on my daughter's height/weight I am worried the 31" will be too much for her.
Unfortunately, the smallest size they make for the 2017 DeMarini CF9 Slapper Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTDXCFA is a 31" model.
