Pros: My son lost this bat before he could break it.... It was his first adult bat moving up to the big field at 12 1/2. He smacked the ball quite hard with it until last season at 14.....this bat lasts!! I specifically sought it out again!
Pros: Everything! This bat is amazing! There isn't a better wood composite bat on the market. Fantastic price and extremely durable.I use this bat for every practice and its taken thousands of hits and is still like new.Ive taken pitches off the end and off the fists and no sign of any cracks or wear. This bat is very balanced and has great pop. I also love that it is a 271 model with the tapered knob.It also looks awesome. Cant say enough good about this bat. I will definitely buy brett bros. bats again!
Pros: Awesome bat, ever since I first started using Brett bros wood bats i now use nothing else. Bat doesn't chip it flake or even break after years of using it. Great feel and great design. Recommend this bat to others
Pros: Really nice feel and pop! Good looking black finish.
Cons: Just me throwing hitting practice to my 15 year-old son and it broke after a month. It broke clean off about 7 inches from the bottom of the handle. With it went the 10 dollar white bat tape we bought for it. We are in the process of returning it to Brett Bros for replacement. My son was really bummed when it broke. He really liked the bat.
Pros: I've had a 33 in st271 for over 2 years and with all the miss hits that can happen in that time period it has not broken. After this long it feels like the wood is getting soft but thats to be expected. It's the only wood bat that has lasted me longer than 6 months. It feels EXTREMELY light for its size as well and is one of the most balanced bats i've ever felt.
Pros: Bats look great for being blems. so far, so good. Excellent shipping. found out my son was playing his first wood bat league game on a Thursday afternoon, was able to get order in before deadline to have them overnighted for Friday. My son likes the bats, still too early for durability sake.
Cons: again too early to tell if there are any cons.

What does "extended barrel profile" mean? Also, how does the barrel length compare to the Brett Bros MM110 or the Mizuno MZB331?
Asked by Jak
The extended barrel design of the Brett Bros. Maple/Ash Wood Baseball Bat: ST271 Adult means this bat will have an end-loaded swing weight design. This bat will have a slightly different barrel taper as a result when compared to the MM110 and MZB331 which are balanced models.
I have a little brother who is 12 years old. I'm thinking of getting him a wood bat for training. He swings a 31' (-5) Easton XL3 and handles it very well. (1) Should I get this bat considering it's a BBCOR and will be a little heavier -or- (2) should I get a youth model wood bat instead?
Asked by Kobe
(1) I think going for a bat like this Brett Bros. Maple/Ash Wood Baseball Bat (ST271 Adult) will be fine for a player swinging a -5 bat as it will be slightly heavier and will be good for training. (2) I do not think that a Youth wood bat would be as helpful as it can be lighter than what you have right now -and- will also have a 2 1/4" barrel diameter.
How would you compare this bat to the bamboo/maple series? I'm looking for good pop, but more importantly durability .

Description for Brett Bros. Maple/Ash Wood Baseball Bat: ST271 Adult
The Brett Brothers entered the bat business with the goal of ensuring that coaches at all levels of baseball have access to superior quality composite wood bats that are cost effective. Consistency and durability were the primary factors when establishing their bat designs. The Brett Brothers have been involved in baseball their entire lives, through Bobby and John’s Minor League careers to the Professional careers of Ken and George. The Brett Brothers know baseball. Even today baseball is an important part of their lives, with each brother being involved in their own way. George, who is still a part of the Kansas City Royals Organization and a hometown hero here in Kansas City, was a career .305 hitter with 3 Batting Titles, a 1985 World Series Ring and an induction to the Hall of Fame in 1999 to round out his 21 year career in Kansas City. Not only did he prove to be a consistent hitter he showed that he had the knowledge to succeed. The Brett Brothers understood that having reliable wood was an important component. This is why they implemented their 3-piece laminating system along with their patented ‘Boa’ reinforcement handle. The stealth bats are constructed of laminates from hand selected and graded hardwoods. The choice of wood for the barrel has proven to greatly reduce the chipping and flaking characteristic in one-piece ash bats. Brett Brothers: The Very Best in Baseball! The ST271 is BBCOR Certified and legal for H.S. and Collegiate play! Free Shipping.
Your staff was great. I ordered a Easton Stealth for my daughter and it arrived damaged. I called your customer service department, they not only made arrangements to pick up the bat but they sent a replacement priority over-night so my daughter would have the bat in time for her tournament the next day. You made a 13 year old girl very happy. Thanks
