“Best kept Secret ”
by Paul Daron (coach)Pros: We bought Burner Comp to replace Demarini CF Zen -10 that was banned by USSSA. Besides being the best looking bat maybe ever the enormous barrel screams confidence. This thing is super hot right out of the wrapper. Vant wait til its broken in properly! Swing feels buttery smooth, No vibration, the balance is amazing! Adidas has really found something with their Taylor Made Rocket-Ballz Technology. First swing my son looked at me like "did you just see that"!
Cons: None!
“Adidas Who Knew it could be so GOOD!!”
by Jason (parent)Pros: Huge barrel on par with the CF Zen by Demarini that was banned by USSSA. Hot out of the wrapper and makes a great ping sound when hit. Bought this for my son and has used it in 3 tournaments so far and several others kids on the team have tried it and love it.
Cons: Not so much a con, but the bat is white so it shows a lot of the nicks, scratches and dirt from use. Also the end cap is flat so it takes a bit of a beating when getting tossed back after a hit.
“Great Bat”
by BamBam (coach)Pros: Out performs other bats in its category. Hope Adidas stays in the bat market, they have made a great product!
Cons: none
“Surprised”
by Troy (parent)Pros: Boys (10 and 13) had Louisville slugger 917's 2 3/4 bats over the summer and went with the Burner 2 3/4 bats for both this fall ball and they loved it. Hot right out of the wrapper. Very balanced. A little heavier than the 917's but boys had no trouble with control. Great bat.
Cons: None as the boys or I can tell. Both crushing the ball and loving the bat.
“Cracked”
by Mike (coach)Pros: My son hit really well with it in an indoor session. He said it felt good, he drove the ball well, it had good pop.
Cons: It cracked in multiple places.
“Junk”
by Mike (parent)Pros: Balanced feel, thats about it.
Cons: Pop is terrible. Has a nice barrel but noticed a lot of vibration. We hit 50 balls off the tee and put it back in the box to send back. It even sounds dead. Coming from using the Marucci Hex Connect, it doesn't compare. Don't waste your money.
“Awesome bat for travel ball”
by Boomer Big Daddy (parent)Pros: Adidas has produced a winner. This is as good as anything on the market and a steal at this price.
Cons: None yet
“retooled bat”
by JayBird (coach)Pros: Is balanced the same as the CF8 (green bat). Not a lot of sting. Seems to have a good sweet spot. Very close to the original Zen but noticeably less pop.
Cons: Noticeably less pop then the CF8 and the illegal Zen. I contacted demarini and was advised they used a "ceramic sleeve" that was inserted into the barrell. This stiffens up the barrel and restricts the "trampoline effect". We hit about 150 baseballs outside and the bat did seem to heat up the more my 12u travel ball son hit with it. He liked it even though the pop was less. He uses a CF8 during his games and had the illegal Zen as a back up. He wanted the retooled bat so we bought a new one with the voucher money.
“Banned at Game Day tournaments”
by Troy Jones (coach)Pros: None. Read Cons...
Cons: These bats are banned by DeMarini, yes, DeMarini at all Game Day tournaments. They even banned this bat at a tournament they sponsored.
“Lot's of Money For a One and Done ”
by Dissapointed Parent. (parent)Pros: My son loved the performance. Very easy warranty process.
Cons: We purchased a new CF8 for the Elite 32 at Disney last July, unfortunately by the end of the tournament the bat was already cracking. We went through DeMarini’s warranty process, and was issued a voucher number for a replacement. In April we ordered a new Re-tooled CF Zen (performance was not as good as the CF8 but still very good) Sadly like the CF8 within a few weeks it cracked. While I understand DeMarini’s warranty policies and I'm thankful for the first replacement, I still feel that a company should stand behind their product especially one that fails within the first few weeks. As a guy that works hard for his money I can no longer afford to spend the kind of money that DeMarini charges for bats that are less durable then their competitors
“re-tooled Zen”
by Jay (coach)Pros: My 12u son loves the feel of the bat. not much vibration.
Cons: Less pop. Bat busted in less than 2 months.
“love it ”
by steven diaz (player)Pros: i like on how it feels
Cons: the look
“not worth the money”
by Clay (parent)Pros: for a brief period, there was decent pop, but soon after it started cracking.
Cons: no durability. this is the third CF8 in a year. Last years CF8 broke in the cage within two days. once returned, received the illegal CF8 then the retooled one. after 4 tournaments its cracking. my sons buddy had the same experience. appaently these bats are not made for tournament players. ridiculous for the money spent.
“bad bat”
by ty (player)Pros: it’s got a big sweet spot
Cons: the first day I got it it snapped in have. I would go with marrucci
“Really a -8”
by Father of a skinny 12 year old (parent)Pros: Great bat with great pop. Not sure on durability yet.
Cons: Plan on this bat weighing at least 2oz more than advertised. I put my boys on the scale and his 30/20 weighed in at 22.17. Still a nice bat, but really a drop 8. Should have probably went with the next size down.
“Great bat”
by Bryson (player)Pros: This bat is by far the best bat DeMarini has ever made.
Cons: Zero so far
“Heavy Bat”
by Mark (parent)Pros: Still has a nice pop and nice feel to it.
Cons: Bat weighs 3 oz over stated weight. Too heavy for my 9-year-old to swing. Demarini Customer service told me it's because of the ceramic sleeve applied to the inside of the bat.
Got a question about the 2017 Adidas Aero Burner Comp -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: AEROBU ? Ask our team of experts, and they will respond within 24 hours.
Ask A Question OR
My son is 12 years old and needs a solid bat. Would this be a good one for him? He's 5'6" tall, 115 pounds, but has limited strength.
Yes, this would be a very solid choice if you play travel baseball or your league still alloys the use of USSSA models. This Adidas bat hasn't gotten good reviews so far and is available at a pretty reasonable price for a composite bat.

Is the 2018 model the same as the 2017?
The 2018 Adidas Aero Burner Comp -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: AERO18SL10 and 2017 model are really the same bat other than the cosmetics. They both feature a two-piece composite design, the Aero Burner Technology, and the Textin End Cap.

Actual weight of the 29" bat?
The 2017 Adidas Aero Burner Comp -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: AEROBU generally weighs about 1-1.5 ounces more than the listed weight, so it would weigh between 20 and 20.5 ounces.

Not offered in 28/18?
The 2017 Adidas Aero Burner Comp -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: AEROBU is not offered in a 28/18. The smallest size is the 29/19.

Will this bat require a break-in or should it be used in games only similar to the Zen?
Yes it does require a break in period. To properly break in the 2017 Adidas Aero Burner Comp -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (AEROBU), we recommend taking 150-200 swings playing soft toss or off a tee using real baseballs.

Does the money back guarantee valid if he uses the bat? I would like to buy it for my son to try.
The 30-day Money Back Guarantee does cover the bat being used during the 30 days from the date of purchase, yes.
Got a question about the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR ? Ask our team of experts, and they will respond within 24 hours.
Ask A Question OR
Is this still legal for USSSA baseball?
Yes, the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR is legal for USSSA baseball.

How does the 2017 Blue CF Zen -10 compare to the 2017 Green Zen, and the 2018 Orange Zen, in regard to pop that each bat has? I have read reviews that state the 2017 Blue Zen has a lot less pop since being retooled. How do these bats Compare in Pop to the 2017 Marrucci Hex?
Pop is always more one of personal opinion. With the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR there have been some mentioning of poor performance. Some of that may have to do with the fact people were accustomed to the performance of its predecessor which was recalled due to being too hot. So far, customers do like the feel and performance of the new 2018 DeMarini CF Zen -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: WTDXCBZ. Some slight alterations to the end cap and connection point design give this bat more balance and vibration reduction but hard to say if there is a gap in performance capabilities between this bat and the previous re-tooled model from 2017.

Are there any drop 5 or 8 bbcor bats? My son is joining the middle school baseball team and I think a drop 3 is a little heavy.
Unfortunately BBCOR bats are only made in -3 length to weight ratio models. The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR is a -10 length to weight ratio model. The BBCOR version would be the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen BBCOR Baseball Bat: DXCBC.

Is bat the retooled version or the one they banned last year?
The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR is the re-tooled model that will comply with all USSSA standards.

Need advice! My son is playing 12u, he is 5'6" and weighs 155 pounds and is currently hitting a CAT 7 30/22. Should I stay with CAT 7 and go to a 32/24 or this CF Zen 32/22? Can't decide!
Based of your players height and weight, I would recommend a 31 or 32 inch bat. The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR might be too light for him as he will be transitioning to BBCOR in the next couple years. I would recommend staying with a -8 drop weight. In that case, I would recommend the 2018 DeMarini CF Zen -8 Senior League Baseball Bat: WTDXCBR.

My son is playing 9U kid pitch. He is 4’2" tall and 49 lbs. Do you know of a good bat brand and size?
DeMarini is a very good bat brand, and the CF Zen is considered their top of the line model. We would recommend a 27" or 28" length for his size.

Can this bat be used in USA baseball for Babe Ruth?
The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR is USSSA certified, so it is not legal for play in USA leagues such as Babe Ruth.

I guess I don't get the "re-tooled" part of this bat. What has happen to have a bat get a label like "re-tooled"? Is it hotter, was there something not right with the other CF Zen bats? Just wondering about that.
Some CF Zen models (including this -10) were exceeding the performance standards for USSSA once they were broken in, so DeMarini recalled them and released them again in this re-tooled model. The new model now complies with the USSSA 1.15 BPF standard.

Is this bat banned? USSSA?
The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen USSSA -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR is Re-Tooled To Comply With All USSSA Standards.

What is the difference between the CF Zen -10 Senior League Bat, and the CF Zen -8 Balanced, other than 2 ounces? Looking for a 30" bat for an 11, soon to be 12 year old. The -10 Senior League is much cheaper online.
The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Re-Tooled -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR has a 2 3/4" barrel diameter whereas the -8 has a 2 5/8" barrel diameter. The only other difference will be the aesthetics of the bat.

How do you tell them apart? Does the retooled have something written on the bat to let you know it is legal?
The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Re-Tooled -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR has a different color end cap as well as has stamp that is orange with "R" inside to illustrate this is a re-tooled model.

Is this bat legal for USSSA play? Our 9-year old is just starting travel ball and we wanted to be sure he could use this bat.
The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Re-Tooled -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR will feature a USSSA BPF Certification making it legal for USSSA play.

Which bat is better: the -10 CF Zen or the -10 DeMarini Voodoo?
For 2017, I would say that the more popular option has been the CF Zen (especially before the re-call on the original model was made). However, we have not received a high amount of reviews on this 2017 DeMarini CF Zen **Re-Tooled** -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (DXCBZR). It is hard to be completely accurate when stacking it up next to the Voodoo which has received good reviews, but not a lot of total reviews. Overall, both the Zens and Voodoo (DXVBZ) have been solid bats. I would feel alright suggesting either bat.

Does this bat need a break in period?
Yes, the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Re-Tooled -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR does require a break in period. We recommend about 150-200 swings off of a tee, starting your swing at about 50% and work your way up with each swing. Also, be sure to rotate the bat to make sure that all sides of the bat are broken in.

Does the bat come with a 30 day trial period?
No, unfortunately the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Re-Tooled -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR does not feature a 30 day trial period. Once it has been used it cannot be returned. If the bat were to become defective, then it would be covered by a one year warranty with DeMarini.

Is this good for Dizzy Dean play?
Yes, the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Re-Tooled -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBZR is legal for Dizzy Dean for players that are 12 and under in 2017. It has been fixed to meet the USSSA standard that is required for Dizzy Dean.

EVERYTHING WAS VERY SIMPLE AND WENT SMOOTH!

Pros: Hot right out of the wrapper. No vibration. Awesome trampoline effect - ball rockets off the bat. Balanced swing. Bought to replace Demarini Zen -10 that was banned by USSSA. My son loves this bat even more than the zen. Has awesome pop and balanced swing weight.
Cons: None so far.
