Pros: Good feel and performance, same as previous senior league bats. There is good pop and feels better balanced than previous year bat design. The styling is much better than previous bat designs. I recommend this bat.
Cons: This bat feels a little heavier than previous year bat. Make sure you buy proper weight and height for your size with this bat.
Pros: really great pop, balanced feel, no vibration. my son prefers the Easton alloy and the Beast took the place of the S3 not too much difference. He is 11 and uses the 30/20, hits for power so great bat for the most pop.
Cons: still denting after a month or two like the S3's
Pros: we have 3 boys playing 13AAA using this bat. Based off there perfomance and comments. This bat has a great feel and well balanced. The pop off this bat is Easton performace at its best. As a parent and Coach this bat will fit the needs for all ages.
Cons: none
Pros: good pop and balance. fits well as an S3 replacement.
Cons: durability! bought an S3 and it dented in one weekend. i sent it back and they sent a beast x. the beast x dented in the first cage session and then by tournament #2, i sent it back to easton because it was flat on one side. they send me another one and it dented after one tournament.
Pros: Bought the bat for my 10 year old. Great pop, more than most alloys I've seen lately. It requires no break in as it's alloy not composite.
Cons: The grip is thin and cheap. My son had really bad blisters after his first use with no gloves. Replaced with 1.8 mm Lizard Skin and it's perfect.

About the Brand

As the industry leader for over 30 years, Easton Baseball/Softball has continued to raise the bar with innovation, originality and ingenuity. It began in 1969, when Easton produced the first true aluminum bat, and has continued throughout the past three decades with virtually all significant industry "firsts" having been pioneered by Easton: first CU31 bat; first C405 bat; first titanium bat; first Carbon Core bat; first Scandium bat; etc.
The trend continues today with bats such as the Tri-Shell and the ConneXion. The patented Tri-Shell design features a super elastic rubber sleeve sandwiched in between thin outer shells for unparalleled performance, feel, and durability. The patented ConneXion design takes a separate handle and barrel piece and mechanically interlocks them using a ConneXion” elastomer piece for outstanding flex, feel, performance, and vibration reduction. In the spring of 2002, Easton introduced the Tri-Shell ConneXion, merging the technological advancements of the two bats into one.
The bats are just a part of Easton's Baseball/Softball product stable. Easton carries a wide range of high-performance baseball and softball equipment including ball gloves and batting gloves, sport bags and other accessories. Each Easton product is engineered with the player's needs and specifications in mind to provide a competitive edge in the games of fastpitch and slow-pitch softball and adult, senior youth and youth baseball.
Of all aspects that have contributed to Easton's success, none is as important as the research and development Easton engineers put into every product. Easton's trademark of innovative research and development goes back to Doug's initial experiments with aluminum and continues today in a variety of high performance materials.
Along with the many milestones Easton has set in the sporting goods industry, a little-known fact is that Easton engineered and produced the thermal shroud for the seismometer used on the first Apollo lunar landing. Jim Easton, Chairman, has always placed great importance on expanding into new markets. And today, Easton's presence in the baseball/softball, hockey, and bike markets show its continued legacy of producing innovative, high performance products.
The Easton Sports Lab, located in Van Nuys, is one of the most unique testing facilities in the sporting goods industry. Originally established to study the parameters of Easton equipment, it has evolved into a lab that not only tests equipment performance, but human performance as well. The Sports Lab has become an invaluable tool with which Easton engineers continue to create superior products.
An example of their unique testing was proven when the Easton Sports Lab teamed up with tent manufacturer Sierra Designs to create sensors and integrated software to test a state-of-the-art tent design that is supported by Easton E9 tubing in the most extreme weather conditions. In actual mountain tests, with the wind blowing up to 96 mph, Sports Lab technicians were able to record the stress on the tubing to confirm its strength and durability.
At Easton, most of the engineers are also athletes in the sport in which they innovate and design product based on their own experience. The two-piece aluminum Easton hockey stick, for example, was developed by an engineer with a passion for hockey. He developed a design that would in time become the number one hockey stick in the National Hockey League.

Description
The latest and greatest members of the Power Brigade are here and ready to be unleashed.
The Easton MAKO BEAST is the newest version of one of the most popular baseball bats in the industry and it now has the biggest and most powerful composite barrel that Easton has ever made. By extending and combining the game's longest two-piece composite barrel with the game's fastest swing speed, this bat is an absolute BEAST that offers the lowest swing weight index out of the entire Easton lineup. A low swing weight index results in an evenly balanced model that delivers power through fast swing speeds. Easton's redesigned TCT Thermo Composite technology now provides an extended speed barrel design. So, the BEAST's barrel is longer than ever for more plate coverage and a huge sweet spot. This extended barrel is connected to 29/32 inch composite handle by the patented two-piece ConneXion technology that maximizes energy transfer while eliminating sting for optimized feel and comfort. Adding to the comfort is the fact that each MAKO BEAST comes wrapped with the formidable HYPERSKIN grip and it is backed by a full twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty. Easton: Unleash The Beast!
This Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10B features a -10 length to weight ratio, a 2 3/4 inch barrel diameter, and the USSSA 1.15 BPF Certification. Buy your MAKO BEAST with the bigger, badder barrel today with free shipping!

Pros: The mako has very good pop. Sounds like a metal bat.The First practice I brought it every wanted to hit with it. I think it has more pop than the Combat Louisville slugger and DeMarni. It is my favorite bat I have every had.
Cons: Not any yet.
Pros: This bat not only looks great, but the ball flies off the bat with solid contact. My 12 year old in travel ball absolutely loves this bat. No hand sting, he is hitting well over the fence. Of the three bats he got this year, this one hits the furthest by about 15-20' average.
Cons: Can not comment on durability reliably. So far he has about 400 hits with this bat with live pitching. It is doing fine but the ball leaves obvious marks against the black finish. It will not affect the performance.
