Pros:  looks great, feels great and thats hits like a bamboo bat...lots of booooo

Cons:  fractured the carbon fiber and cut and lodged a piece of the C.F into my finger after 15 swings thru 4 games and only a couple were mishit so for $80 you get 4 mishits...The hits dont matter nearly as much as how durable it is on mishits. Just a pretty looker that does not live up to the hype. I am 5'6" 145 so im not a power hitter and i still shattered the so called reinforced handle

Pros:  i only use this bat for bp because i live in australia and there are no wood bat tournaments but i love this bat is has major pop after you break it in. it has a great general feel with a grippy handle. the durability of this bat is way past the durability of a normal wood bat and last but not least the finish is gorgeous with a matte black barrel and a lime green handle

Cons:  none

Pros:  I bought this for my nephew who is 14 and is playing on the JV team at his school. He has been using a wooden bat during batting practice for several years now. I bought this one b/c he has outgrown the other one and he loves it. He actually hit with in in a live scrimmage and put some of the other bats to shame. Great bat, great look, great price.

Cons:  None

Pros:  Had the bat just past the 90 day warranty until one day I hit the ball on the upper handle and cracked it. But this bat is the best wood ive ever used. I practice on 300 ft field and hit it over easy if i hit the sweet spot right. Just all around great bat with a nice look.

Cons:  you are gonna love it and eventually it will fail on you

How much variance is there between the turn model 271 and the turn model 243 that was discontinued? More specifically, is the barrel length comparable? My son has a Maple MZM243, and is looking for an equivalent replacement.

The 2016 Mizuno Maple/Carbon Composite Wood Baseball Bat Grey/Orange: MZMC271 will feature a balanced swing weight with a longer taper while the 243 has a shorter taper and is end-loaded.

Why not -2 or -3? Can I request a -3?

The bat comes with a -2 or -3 drop. This is dependent on the exact density of the cut of wood used to make each individual bat. Unfortunately we can't guarantee which drop you will receive.
