This bat will differ from bats with the traditional 13 turn model because the knob of this bat will be extra flared. That flared knob is a great feature to have (in this writer's opinion) as it seems that more and more players are favoring the flared knobs as opposed to the more standard knobs.
The barrel of this bat should stick true to the 13 turn model as it will be beefy in its diameter, maxing out slightly above the 2.5-inch thickness. And the handle also sticks true to the 13 turn roots as it will have an average thickness.
All hitters should note that since the handle of this bat makes a fairly quick taper up to the barrel, this bat will feature a slight end load to it and be a more attractive bat for power hitters.
Lastly, be sure and note that B45 builds the bat with high-quality Birchwood. That birch allows for a harder hitting surface (like a maple bat), but will still allow for flex between the handle and barrel (like an ash bat) when the bat contacts a baseball. Most folks like to say that birch presents the middle ground between ash bats and maple bats.
