Description

The new Anderson TechZilla was created to help make the average ballplayer into great hitter! With this bat, Anderson has created a way for the average hitter to swing faster without sacrificing control. This starts with the one-piece all-metal alloy frame that has a balanced swing weight to help players swing evenly and in control. However, it's the multi-wall construction that makes this bat unique. Anderson abandons conventional thinking when it comes to the multi-wall by introducing Internal PowerArch Technology to the TechZilla. This technology incorporates an arched interior sleeve design to generate maximum legal performance and an optimized moment of inertia (MOI). An lower MOI allows players to swing faster, which results in more power behind every swing! The TechZilla also features a TaperFlex Contour and TrueFlex End Cap that both aid in vibration reduction. Both of these integral parts also strengthen the barrel and keep energy locked in. Holding it all together, Anderson's Grooved Assembly System locks and fortifies the shell, sleeve, and end cap, providing increased barrel elasticity and superior durability. With an ultra-thin whip handle, SG-I Sport Grip, and weldless ergonomic knob, the TechZilla feels better in your hands than any bat ever has. Anderson: Manufactured With Pride in the U.S.A.! The TechZilla is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

TechZilla is a POPZilla Kristin parent

Pros: My daughter regularly hits to the grass and is an RBI hitter. We needed a bat to help her come home. She hit her first triple at our first tournament this past weekend. I fully expect home runs to follow. Worth the money, everyone wants to use the bat on the team!

Cons: None! :)

Pickle

Pros: Great bat for power hitters, I love it.

Cons: Haven't even had it a year and there is a severe flat spot and I can no longer use it. This is the second time this has happened. Never used it in the cold or on anything but real softballs. The durability is awful.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Anderson TechZilla FP Fastpitch Softball Bat: KTZLFP? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I have a 12U player, great contact hitter (Avg size and bat speed)…. I"m looking at either the 'TechZilla' or the 'NanoTek'… which is a better bat? All day long
Anderson makes a great all alloy fastpitch bat. The TechZilla will have very good pop and be a durable bat. The NanoTex is top of the line with Anderson and has the "LaunchPad" technology and a low M.O.I which will give the player faster swing speeds and more pop.

Is this bat capable of being used in cold weather? I am looking for good bat to be used for High School early spring games. Chuck
Yes. This bat can be used in cold weather. This bat has an alloy barrel and good pop.

My daughter`coach buy 2011 model of this bat. Will last year bat perform like the 2012. Mac
Yes this bat will perform exactly like the 2011 model.
Brad
My daughter has swung a Techzilla for 4 years. How does this one compare to the 2010 model? lucky
Not a whole lot has changed with the TechZilla over the years. The 2012 model will have the same feel and construction as previous models.
Tyler
Is there a model number? I'm looking on the list of approved bats with the NCAA and don't see this bat listed. Thanks. Jamie
The model number for this bat is KTZLFP. The Anderson bats on the NCAA approved bat list are listed under some funky "model numbers". If you're looking at the NCAA approved bat list, the number they have listed for this bat is 017020...and it is legal. Best of luck!
TJ
What is the actual serial/model number of this bat? We need to find it on our approved bat list for NCAA DIII Softball. KSchwano
The model number for this bat is KTZLFP.
Jason
My daughter is a line drive gap hitter as opposed to a power hitter. Would you recommend the Rip-It Force or Anderson Techzilla Fastpitch softball bat for her? drew
Both of these bats are similar in design and will perform just about the same. They are also about the same durability wise too. You can't really go wrong with either bat.
Jennifer
Is Anderson going to put out a TechZilla with new graphics for 2013? Mark
According to Anderson, they will be releasing a new line of TechZilla's this week. To our knowledge the graphics will not be changing.
Kara
My daughter plays 14u and currently uses the DeMarini CF5 Insane which is end loaded. I'm looking for a balanced bat that can be used in cold weather, between the TechZilla and NanoTek which would be the better choice? And why? serena
The Andersen TechZilla is a one-piece fully aluminum design, where as the Andersen NanoTek is a two-piece bat with a composite handle and aluminum barrel. The TechZilla would be better for durability but the NanoTek would help to reduce vibration in cold weather.
Tom
How does this bat compare to the RockeTech? My daughter has started using the RockeTech, but it is a little heavy for her against faster pitchers. Bien333
The Anderson TechZilla FP: (KTZLFP) and 2014 Anderson RockeTech FP: (KRKTFP) will both be one-piece alloy designs and will be extremely comparable. Each model will incorporate similar technology including TaperFlex contour and a TrueFlex end cap to help reduce vibration and increase barrel elasticity. If you are looking for something lighter, but still very similar, the Anderson TechZilla FP: (KTZLFP) would be one of the best choices to go with.
Merritt
My daughter is a power hitter and did great with the TechZilla last year. She wants to stick with it again this year, but I'm wondering if she should get one of the bats everyone is talking about and see if that will help her get more power? Or, go with the theory that if it's not broke, why fix it and hope for another good hitting year? Mickey
If the performance of the Anderson TechZilla: (KTZLFP) is still high performing, and she is seeing results from this model, I would probably not switch bats at this point in time. It sounds like the material still has some heat left to give, and if she feels comfortable with it I would probably stick with it a little longer. However, if the material was starting to become dull, and less performing I would probably suggest looking towards a newer model.

About the Brand

A High-Tech Engineer, a Sales Manager for a chemical company, and a Professional Yacht Racer with a background in mechanical engineering are not likely to have much in common. But they did, and still do. You guessed it…SOFTBALL.

Our passion for “Diamond” sports goes back many years, but it was about 10 years ago that we started manufacturing and private labeling our bats for other companies. In 1999, Steven Anderson designed a new multi-wall high-performance bat that featured our patented “Power Arch” technology. After thorough testing, it was ready for the company that we designed it for, but they were going through a transition period and were not ready to move on it.

Here was the bummer, our team was counting on using these bats in a big tournament that was just a month away and we could not put their graphics on the bats until the deal between the two of us was inked.

Steven offered a solution … they are already certified by the governing bodies so why don’t we put our own graphics on them and use them in the tourney. What a great idea and that is exactly what we did.

I was driving to the plant the next morning wearing my championship “T” shirt and had no idea that when I arrived at 6:30 am that the message machine would be filled and the phones would be ringing. The messages and the calls were all basically the same … “How do I get my hands on one of those new Anderson Techwraps”?

That is how it started, and since then we have released the FlexTech, FastTech, RocketTech, TechZilla, Pyrotech, and we are not done.

Let me tell you a little secret……THE BEST IS YET TO COME…GO DEEP, GO VERY VERY DEEP
