Louisville Slugger Solo -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: WBL2471010

This Solo drop 10 from Louisville Slugger can be used by so many young-aged players! 7 year olds to 12 year olds could possibly use it!

Bat Benefits

This bat is made in the one-piece design with the SL Hyper Alloy going from the knob up to the end cap. However, the end cap is going to be made from composite material. The all-alloy + composite end cap design makes this bat really light swinging even though the barrel is built in the largest allowable 2 3/4" barrel diameter. As well, the bat should be super high-performing too!

Lastly, be sure to notice that this bat has the new-looking USSSA Baseball Stamp that bears the words "NTS Tested".

Warranty

A 100+ year old company does not get to be in existence today without knowing how to take care of their customers. Louisville Slugger most definitely covers this bat with a full twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty period that extends from the purchase date. If you buy the bat from JustBats and run into any warranty issues with those 12 months, do not hesitate to reach out to our Bat Experts. Great bat Rich M. Coach

Pros: My team loves this bat. I am shocked this bat doesn't have more reviews. Well balanced and the boys hit bombs with the Solo.

Cons: None! I can honestly say this bat has no cons at all.

Great Bat For the $ Jamie Johnson Parent

Pros: Great bat for the $. I bought this bat as well as a 2 piece DeMarini CF for my son to use in travel ball. He initially preferred two piece bats, I recommended one piece bat. I bought both for comparison. After completing a complete season, both bats are great bats. However, he now prefers this bat over the more expensive two piece CF. I feel the ball comes off the bat a little hotter with CF but ball travels much further with this bat. We feel he has more solid hits with this bat over his two piece CF. This bat is durable, has great pop, and he is more confident in it. Both bats definitely got a work out over this past season. I would definitely recommend this bat.

Cons: A little more vibration over 2 piece bats when ball doesn’t make contact with the sweet spot of the barrel. But not terrible.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
