Pros: Just got this bat but it is unbelievable when you compare it to other USA bats. First the barrel is HUGE. And the weight it pretty much right on the money - no excess weight in the end cap and grip like you see with all other bats. The pop after just a couple hundred off the tee is incredible. I can’t imagine what it will be like when it’s actually “broken in”. Also can’t say enough great things about Just Bats. I ordered at 830 last night and was delivered by 130 today.
Cons: I am sceptical about the durability. It sounds like an amplified wood bat, almost to the point where you check it after each hit to make sure it hasn’t cracked. It’s a sound I have never hear before in a composite. If this thing stays durable it will be the biggest seeking bat this year.
Pros: The bat looks great with a high gloss red finish. My son liked the balance and feel from the first swing. He took between 150-200 off the tee to break it in and loved the pop from the first swing. Seems to be getting better as it breaks in. He brought it to batting practice and a few of his teamsmates tried it out. All of them said they “loved the pop”.
Cons: When hitting the ball, it sounds like a broken wood bat. You will have people asking if the bat is broken or have the coaches or ump tappping it on the ground to feel for vibration to see if it’s cracked. I did the same. I also hit a few balls with it and it did sound like it was cracked be had a nice solid hit feel.
Pros: The pop and sweet spot in this bat is like no other. I just hope it lasts a while. Well worth the money if it keeps at its current pace.
Cons: None
Pros: See previous post.
Cons: After three practices and two games the barrel is already cracked on both sides. We are getting a replacement because the kids on the team love it, but very skeptical about durability at this point. We’ll see how long the second one lasts.
Pros: My son is 9 and his first hit was about 180ft
Cons: The bat cracked
Pros: Doesn’t get any better...most of team wants to use it
Cons: Sounds like broke bat but ball trampolines off bat when hit right
Pros: This bat definitely has pop, however, it’s still a USA bat. Compared to others in the space, I’d still put this to the top. The differentiator is the bat speed your child will gain from the drop 12. When you combine the extremely large barrel, natural pop and increased bat speed, you have a very high performing USA bat.
Cons: It does have a different sound and you will check bat as if it just broke but it’s not (at least on my sons). You get used to it quickly.
Pros: It's light. The -12 is nice for helping smaller kids generate bat speed. No vibration.
Cons: I just sent the 4th bat back. The first 3 had something loose in the barrel right out of the box. I'm not talking the sound of sand rattling around in there but something was loose and you could feel it hitting the sides of the barrel. The 4th bat made no noise out the box. I thought great so I took my son to break it in and after about the 130th hit it started making the same noise as the first 3 bats. Towards the end it sounded like the barrel was going to shatter. After 4 bats I'm moving on to another brand which is sad because I like that it's made in America.
Pros: My son has only had this bat for a few days and it has great pop already! If this thing gets better over time it will be insane. It has a very balanced feel and my son says it feels great off the bat with no vibration. I compared the surface area of this thing with other bats in it's class and nothing comes close.
Cons: Strangest sounding bat ever. Makes you want to check it after every hit. Just hope it holds up.
Pros: Most pop I’ve seen out of a USA bat. The -12 aspect is great for smaller kids that need more length. Bat looks great and even when the ball is hit closer to the handle or end, the bat has little vibration.
Cons: None so far
Pros: super light bat if that is what you are after
Cons: the bat was broken. The bat weight is too light in my opinion.
Pros: Big barrel!
Cons: Odd sound of the bat and it broke after less than 50 swings.
Pros: Drop 12 weight is nice for my youngest son
Cons: Sounds very weird when hitting balls, to the point where majority of games the umpire checks the bat after the first time they hear it. Pop seems okay, nothing really special. Very skeptical that this bat will last too long.
Pros: The trampoline effect of this bat is the best so far. I haven't found another USA bag that compares. It had a huge sweet spot. Even balls mis hit at the end of the bat has decent pop. The bat has close to about 300 swings on it and it's still going strong. No signs of cracking, like other reviews seem to have had. In fact, our team has 3 kids with this bat and the kids love it. It does sound weird when you hit with it, which I think kind of catches the defense of guard.
Cons: None .
Pros: My son loves the feel of this bat. It's light. He hit great with it in his first game. He says it has a large sweet spot. The bat also looks nice. It makes a very weird sound every time it hits the ball, almost like it's breaking. It did have pretty good pop.
Cons: My son is 11 and the bat cracked and broke in less than 3 weeks. He does swing hard, but we're only in little league! We contacted Rawlings and they are sending a replacement bat, but I just read in their email that the replacement bats do not carry a warranty. So I'm a little concerned it may break again and we'll be out $350. I'd probably rather just hand my money back and try another bat...I would not recommend purchasing. Go with a bat that has better durability.
Pros: Hot Bat, Big Pop, Ball bounces off of barrel. Biggest Barrel length wise of all bats out there for USA and it's a drop 12.
Cons: having the barrel this big for so long down the bat and it still being a drop 12, they had to shave weight obviously. I think the walls are very thin and cracking is going to be an issue. We had 2 cracks within 2 weeks of having our first bat, but Justbats.com sent us shipping labels and we returned and got a replacement in quickly. Hopefully this one lasts.
Pros: The sound is fantastic! The weight being a -12 has increased his swing speed. His old Easton Ghost 30/-10 he would be behind. Now he is right in it.. Pop Pop Pop..
Cons: Marks easy and paint chips quickly.
Pros: This bat is a new team favorite! When the kids make contact the bat FLIES!!!!
Cons: Every single time you hit the ball the bat sounds like it’s cracking. Even the umps check it after a hit to see if it’s cracked!
Pros: Have had the bat for 2.5 weeks, it's the 31" used by a 12U team. This bat is the hottest USA bat we have used so far. Hit about 250 times off the tee and soft toss to get it broke in and then have used it only for games no BP. About 15 kids have used it in the games for our rec league and travel ball, it probably has 400+ hits on it now. The kids love the the very balanced weight and super fast bat speed. The bat has incredible pop! The majority of the hits from this bat have reached the deep outfield with 2 over the fence. The sound that bat makes is incredible! Every time a new umpire hears it they have to check it.
Cons: Not for the kids that have a hard time hitting, they can't slow down enough to hit, they are way to far in front of the ball. After last nights game we found a break on the bottom of the barrel, I'm sure it was off a foul ball that was hit, the foul was caught by the center fielder in the other field! We will get it warrantied and hope it lasts through the all-star season that is coming up.
Pros: Bat is extremely light and has a huge barrel and great pop in the sweet spot. Ball jumps off the barrel and has increased exit velocity distance. We went from a 28/17 Solo, to this and achieved my goal of a bigger barrel and light swing weight. In game situations my 8U son has hit multiple doubles and even had a massive hit that went all the way to the fence and resulted in an inside the park grand slam!
Cons: On mishits the bat makes a terrible sound like it is broken and the ball drops. Right now I believe the good, outweighs the bad, but on a jam shot or pop-up, an aluminum bat may be more forgiving. It marks up easily and based on other reviews I am constantly cleaning it and checking for cracks to be safe. I hope it last because right now its an amazing purchase.
Pros: This is a very nice bat my son loves it not only for the looks but the weight of it. He has a better swing. Just loves it overall.
Cons: None just yet.
Pros: 12 year old son loves the bat and it's pop despite the bat being fragile. Rawlings has been amazing in the customers service with 2 bats being cracked in the span of 1 1/2 months. Send pictures, get a bat overnight to ensure the player is not without a bat for long. Light and balanced bat, just too fragile for a 12 year old
Cons: Fragile, two cracked bats in 1.5 months
Pros: Sounds broken, rattles, looks a little funny but it’s got pop and my 8 year old can handle it because it’s light. Been a solid bat so far
Cons: Sounds like you need to be picking it up in 2 pieces after a clean base hit
Pros: Bat feels great, very balanced, kids love it. Sounds like a broken wooden bat but when ball comes off barrel definitely not such. If wasn’t for results I’ve seen with the bat when 100% probably would’ve moved on by now.
Cons: Got 1st one out of box & already had a clicking sound coming from the barrel. One of the disc technology they install was loose. 2nd bat broke within another 2 weeks of using it. This time 2 piece composite where they meet loosened & broken in 2. Son is now on to his 3rd one. Hopefully 3rd one is a charm. Definitely skeptical about the durability & quality of materials. Seems extremely thin!
Pros: Nice pop! Good balance
Cons: Cheaply made. Bought Quattro Pro USA a month ago, broke it in properly, the bat cracked internally.
Pros: Bat is hot out of wrapper. This will Rawlings most returned bat in the history of their company I'm sure. The internal discs come loose and rattle around and bat's pop it once had is no more. Sounds like a baby rattle once this happens.
Cons: Wish I'd known issues sooner. Now I'm out of my 30 day return and have to go to Rawlings direct and can't get money back, only credit for their website on purchases.
Pros: The bat looked great and felt great...
Cons: After 100 swings the bat has ZERO pop. Its almost like it's dead. The sound is even worst than it was b4 so could my sons bat be defected? Right now a $100 bat is out performing it and yes I kno hitting in diff spots has a big deal but hitting the ball anywhere on it with no pop...
Pros: We bought the bat May 24th it arrived the 25th and cracked May 31st. We returned it to just bats and got a replacement. The bat is nice! My boys love the bat, but I’ll be honest it’s a fragile bat, the second bat I told my boys to only use it during games. We shall see how this one holds up. – we took maybe 200 hits both at the game and cage combined. Great pop No vibration
Cons: Fragile-cracked
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Garbage
Pros: Bat is hot out of wrapper, but will not last with the new bat construction. A bat has never been made like this before with the floating discs and Rawlings is finding out now they have made a huge mistake. This will be the most returned bat for Rawlings of all time. I returned 2 bats and my 2nd return was just my 30 day to get refund where now I'm stuck with a credit to use on the Rawlings site with numerous limitations. There is nothing buy worthy on their site and all of their older bats are prices much higher than their outside retailers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAT.

Pros: Bat has ok pop
Cons: Makes a gunshot sound when swung Do not buy
Pros: Nice pop when the bast lasted but that’s about it.
Cons: Bought this bat for my son & a few practices & 2 games in & the barrel is cracked. Noticed a lot of complaints but thought wth let me see for myself, now I wish I would have passed up on it. Now very skeptical since I have to warranty the bat & what If this next one does the same? $350 down the drain!
Pros: Pop is amazing and swings great
Cons: My 8 year old hit not even 2 dozen balls and it cracked
Pros: Don’t listen to the negative stuff. This is simply the best USA bat your child will ever swing or own!!!! Don’t know how else to word it, it is simply amazing Only possible negative is durability. We just got it and not sure how long it will last. But for now it’s perrect!
Cons: Nothing yet
Pros: The bat is beautiful looking and feels great. That’s why it got 1 star.
Cons: Bat will brake very quickly. Has good pop but in a very small sweet spot for how big the barrel is. I’m on my third one and it may last because I won’t let my son use it. I did not want to give a star for durability but I was forced to
Pros: My son hits lasers with this bat and it turns heads everywhere. Everyone wants to know what bat that is because of the distinct sound and the performance.
Cons: Not everyone likes the sound cause its so different. But, the pop can't be denied!!!
Pros: Good pop. Little to no vibration.
Cons: My 4'6" 46lbs 9 year old busted his 2020 quatro-12 only took 4 lessons with it. Rawlings will not replace it. Owned for a little over a month.
Pros: Great pop, balanced swing
Cons: We have had 2 bats now and both have broke very quickly. The replacement bat cracked on the barrel in literally 16 hits. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. I'd prefer to give ZERO stars on durability.
Pros: Bat has good pop out of the box. My kid loved it.
Cons: First one cracked after 3 weeks. Got a replacement from Rawlings and it broke in half on the third week of use.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Cracked after less then 2 weeks
Pros: Bat is electric. My son has used it for 2 batting sessions and the ball flies off of this bat.
Cons: None yet
Pros: The bat has serious pop when compared to other USA bats. Previously, my son used Demarini CF. The sound is odd, but manageable.
Cons: Cracked within thirty days. Returning the bat and we are going another route.

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
