Squishy Tech, but good . . . JLT Player
Pros: Bought this bat because it produced a cool sound when hitting (YouTube). Also bought it because it's a sweet looking bat. Overall, it feels balanced and I get a nice smooth swing out of it. Makes that nice sound and pop when you hit the sweet spot. Oddly, even when you get all of the ball, it doesn't feel like you hit it that far, but in reality it does have a ton of pop. Probably because there is very little to no feedback or vibration when hitting. I'd say it is for line drive, or controlled hitters. For a bat under $150, it is well worth it.
Cons: Not sure about the durability of that VP sleeve, feels like it might peel off. But we shall see. Too much tech in the vibration reduction. Could just be me not used to it, but you don't really feel the ball pop off the bat. Not very forgiving if you get jammed, but that goes for most bats anyways. Not really a "con" but it feels a bit stiff for a two piece bat. Makes it feel more like a one piece bat, which can actually be a good thing.
