Pros: Bat is end loaded with ridiculous amount of pop. Would recommend to power hitters.

Nice bat Michael Goings Parent

Pros: Big hittiting surface. End loaded. Stiff feel. My son was in between sizes. Was using Ls single piece 32/29. The new Omaha 33/30 was too heavy. Swing weight on the Goods 32/29 was a good step up with out too much weight. He is 5'8" 145lbs and this added about 5mph exit velo. He loves it

Cons: Grip starts wearing soon after purchase

Cameron
I just ordered the Demarini Goods bat. Since you can put on a LHH grip for $7.99, due you use the same grip as Demarini uses or a different style grip? Shawn Thomas

Kyle
What’s the difference in the red and newer 2020 color “The Goods,” bat? Austin Karls
The new DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 is the first rendition of this model/name. This bat replaced the Voodoo ONE BBCOR that was previously on the market. The main difference is "The Goods" is now an end-loaded model; DeMarini use to list these types of bats as "Insane" models. The change that has occurred would be the new seismic end cap.
Cameron
How end loaded is this bat compared to the 518 from Louisville? Justin
The DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 will more end loaded than the Louisville Slugger Omaha 518.
Max
Is it an end loaded bat? Zaul Arriaga
Yes, the DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 will feature an end load swing weight.
Daveron
If The Goods ONE has the same material as The Goods on the barrel, why is it cheaper than The Goods? I know one piece is usually cheaper, but isn’t it more durable than a two piece? Los
The DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 will be cheaper than the DeMarini The Goods BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGIC20, even though both bats feature the same X14 alloy barrel. This is due to The Goods ONE being made from solid alloy (one-piece) while The Goods is a two-piece hybrid bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. Since the hybrid model features the two-piece setup with the composite handle the price of the bat will increase as a result.
Cameron
How would you compare this to the two piece goods bat? Like in it's ability to hit? Caden Armstrong
Thanks for the question! Both the DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 and the DeMarini The Goods BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGIC20 are end loaded, so they are both for stronger batters. The biggest differnece in swings will be that the DeMarini The Goods BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGIC20 is designed to have a better feel and be more responsive.
Ben
How does the alloy in Demarini compare to the alloy in Louisville slugger bats? My son likes LS one piece bats but this end loaded The Goods sounds tempting. Jon
Overall, the DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 and the Louisville Slugger aluminum bats will we be very similar in terms of performance. The Goods will be more similar to the Louisville Slugger Select because both of those bats are end loaded.
Ben
Is this a good bat for a 9th grader, 6 foot, 160lbs? And in a 32 or 33? Thomas
With the player specs provided, the suggested length would be a 33" bat. The DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 features an end loaded swing weight. This is not recommended for the average player. However, if the player has used end loaded bats in the past with success, than this would be a great option.
Daveron
Is this or the Cat 8 more endloaded? And which is better? mike
The DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 will be more endloaded. Depending on the player the DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 will be betetr for a power hitter and the Marucci CAT 8 BBCOR Baseball Bat: MCBC8 will be better for a contact hitter.
Jack
What is the difference between this bat and Voodoo One 2020 model? What does one bat offer more than the other? Matteo
The Goods ONE model is very similar to the Voodoo ONE in that they both use DeMarini's X14 alloy. The main difference is the The Goods is an end-loaded design to cater to power hitters, using their Seismic end cap to give it more of a top heavy feel.
Kyle
Is it a drop 3 Chris
The DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 is a drop 3.
Patrick
What would you compare this bat to? Brendan Rosenthal
This has an end-loaded swing weight and hybrid design similar to the Louisville Slugger Select models.
Kyle
Is this bat like the 5150 or the Posey28? Brendan Rosenthal
No, it is not. The Goods is a hybrid model with an alloy barrel and composite handle that also has an end-loaded swing weight. The 5150 and the Posey28 are one-piece, all alloy models with a balanced swing weight.
Kyle
Is this end loaded like the 2017 CF Zen Insane? Brendan Rosenthal
Yes, both bats are end loaded.
Kyle
Does the grip make a difference for a switch hitter? Dominate left side. Kevin
Stock grip tape is wrapped for a right handed hitter, but most players don't notice much of a difference. The biggest difference in wrapping it the opposite way for a lefty is the grip tape should last a bit longer because it is more in line with the twisting of the hands and the bat during the swing.
Kyle
Which model would you recommend for colder climates and and would it also handle well when it heats up? (Michigan) Kevin
Generally speaking, one-piece alloy models like this will be the best option for colder temperatures.
Kyle
Which is better a 1 piece or 2 piece construction? Rick Green
Two-piece bats have better vibration dampening on mishits and provide more bat head whip through the zone for bat speed. One-piece models vibrate more on mishits, but provide a bit better power transfer if the player already has excellent bat speed.
Kyle
How does this compare to the Omaha 519 Connor
The 2020 DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 compared to 2019 Louisville Slugger Omaha 519 BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBO519B3 are going to be pretty different bats. The Omaha is a one-piece aluminum bat with a balanced swing weight. While The Goods by DeMarini is a two-piece hybrid bat with more of an end loaded swing weight.
Ryan
Has this bat been approved by high school regulations? Hunter Thomas
Yes, the DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 is approved for high school and college play.
Cameron
My son is 14, 5'10" and 170 lbs. He currently swings the CAT 8 Connect 32 in. He's a power hitter that also hits for avg. Which bat (and size) would you recommend for him, another CAT 8 or the DeMarini The Goods? Or possibly another one altogether? What difference in performance will he see between the bats? Joe K
BBCOR bats will produce at nearly the same clip as a wood bat so there is not going to be much difference, in terms of performance, from one to the next. Based on what he is currently using, and how you have described his swing, he may benefit more from an end-loaded bat like the DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20. These types of bats, although with a slightly smaller sweet spot, can help create more barrel whip through the zone thus giving off slightly better exit velo when squared up.
Cameron
My son needs to move up to a 33" and wanted a DeMarini The Goods One. Is that size going to be available again or will a new model be released by DeMarini for 2021? If a new model, when will that be available? Brian
Unfortunately, we are completely sold out of the 33 inch DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 and will not be getting more in from DeMarini. As for when the 2021 models will be released by DeMarini, we do not have an ETA on that but we would imagine they will be releasing a newer version of this bat when that time arrives.
Cameron
Would you recommend this for a freshmen? Nick
Yes, the DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 would be a good option for a FR.
Cameron
How would this bats weight distribution compare to the white voodoo insane 2 piece? Connor Charron
The DeMarini The Goods ONE BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXGOC20 will have the same end loaded feel and weight distribution as the Voodoo Insane. It will feel a bit stiff on the swing due to the one-piece nature.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
