In terms of balance, yes the Combat B2 will be similar to the DeMarini Voodoo. The Voodoo is a two-piece, hybrid model with a bit more flex, while the Combat B2 is a one-piece, full composite model with a slightly stiffer feel.

Although these bats incorporate different composite and end cap designs, both will be great options for hitters that prefer the feel of a one-piece, balanced bat with a massive sweet spot.

My 13 year old son is 5'10", 150 lbs. Should I go with the 32? Also, we've never tried an all composite bat, so what is the approximate life expectancy of one? How many hits before it goes dead? What has your testing shown? Would this make a good first bat for a strong hitter? Dominic
For his height and weight, a 32" sounds about right. If he grew another 1-2" and gained about 20-30 lbs, then you would probably want a 33" or more, depending on how much he grew and how much stronger he gets. As for composite bats, generally speaking they will not last as long as alloy barrel bats, but provide a larger and more forgiving sweet spot. We do not have an exact number for # of hits unfortunately, but 1.5-2 years is a good lifespan on a composite bat from what we have seen. If you are a year-round player who hits in the cage multiple times a week though, this may be shorter though, and occasionally we have customers report issues in the first several months on all composite models. You are covered by a 12 month warranty with the manufacturer if something goes wrong in the first year, and they can provide a one-time replacement. The Combat B2 would be a very solid choice.

The big difference between the COMBAT B2 ATB -3 BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB20B2 and a DeMarini CF would be the one-piece composite design (CF is a two-piece composite). Thus, the miss hits on the COMBAT B2 would be felt as the bat does not flex on contact like the CF. The swing weight feel though will be better due the extended barrel design on the B2.

We ship from our warehouse in Kansas City, MO, Monday-Friday, up to 8 PM CST, with UPS. As well, we ship all orders up to 4 PM CST on Saturdays. For most orders shipping with the free UPS ground option, orders arrive within 1-3 business days. The COMBAT B2 has received more feedback/reviews so we would lean towards it. As for performance and sweet spot on these two bats, these two things would also be similar but there is no way to definitively prove/measure the two areas.

The B2 is a one-piece all composite meaning it will not reduce much vibration on miss hits. It will feature a balanced swing weight and will be more balanced than the LS Meta. The Meta features a two-piece composite design which will help reduce vibration on miss hits. Exit velo will be slightly less on the Meta since it will flex on contact more than the B2 from COMBAT.
