Pros: Ball pops off the bat All of the kids on the team want to use it Sharp color
Cons: None
Pros: I have gone through several bats since the rule change to USA bats. And this bat by far has done just that, give back his confidence. He lost 20 to 30 feet on most of his hits until I got this bat and now he is back to hitting balls to the fence again.
Cons: I spent way to much money on other bats and got zero results, wish I had just bought this one first.
Pros: My 12yo loves this bat. Great pop no vibration. Takes batting instruction twice a week. Definitely a step up from the Rawlings prodigy which was a good bat for him.
Cons: None
Pros: As of right now this bat seems to have the pop needed for the USA bats. It’s still slim pickings but highly recommend so far.
Cons: None at the moment
Pros: 12 year old grandson loves this bat. One of the best bats of the maligned USA category. Coach didn't dent bat after smashing a ball to center field. Coach said he liked the bat. Bat had the best pop sound compared to the other bats at practice. Grandson consistently hit the ball further compared to the other hitters at practice. Would highly recommend this bat for USA play.
Cons: None
Pros: To many to list, my son stated that this bat does not vibrate his hands at all.
Cons: None
Pros: Haven’t seen my grandson hit but my son says bat has good pop. I feel over all the bat is a very good bat
Cons: Grandson says he could feel vibration when he hit the ball
Pros: My son loves the new bat. He says it has a good grip and does not hurt when he hits the ball.
Cons: None
Pros: This Rawlings Bat is Sweet!! My son has complimented on the bat being well balanced and having a large sweet spot. He crushed a ball to the fence in kid pitch, a real home run!! He is not the strongest kid on the team, just really quick swing. Highly recommend!!!
Cons: Absolutely None!!! Good job Rawlings!!
Pros: All
Cons: None
Pros: No break in period. Excellent velocity speed Great price
Cons: Just more sting if you get jammed up.
Pros: Great bat for the $$$
Cons: None
Pros: one of the best USA bats.....my 12 year old son is hitting line drives all over the field....
Cons: just great....
Pros: Best USA bat I’ve seen. Wish I bought this one first. Ball explodes off this bat. Great price too
Cons: None.
Pros: I bought this for my 8year old son, great bat, good pop, overall very happy.
Cons: I bought it too heavy for him
Pros: Wow best pop of any USA bat..1st game son hit Grand slam HR and double off fence in a 50/70 field. Game 2 another to the fence. Awesome pop!
Cons: Vibrates when you miss hit ...but no big deal.
Pros: Both bats were hot out of the box. The whole team loves the Rawlings 5150 and it's nice sound. If you get ahold of the ball on the sweet spot it sure does fly.
Cons: None
Pros: 8yr old boys like it so far. A lot of kids at their camp were using them. Good price not crazy expensive
Cons: None yet if any
Pros: My 8u loves this bat. Pop is above average and he's never complained about vibration. Other kids on the team ended up either borrowing the bat or actually buying it halfway through the season
Cons: Grip started peeling a little at the end of the season, but not a big deal
Pros: I purchased this bat for my 9 year old in December last year. I normallly purchase all our bats from Justbats, but when the changes came I purchased a forty dollar bat from Big 5. That bat lasted through a few practices and ended up getting dented at the cages. So I started doing my own research, calling other coaches, trainers, etc for their advice and got no where. I then researched the 5150 Rawlings and rolled the dice. This bat is well worth the price. I highly recommend it. This bat has pop and you can hear it when a ball is hit. My son was crushing the ball last season, he hit one over the fence and many shots hit the fence. The reason I chose Rawlings was the quality of their bats and prior purchases before the USA bat changes.
Cons: Other players wanting to use it.
Pros: Solid bat
Cons: None

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
