It breaks to easily Rich P Parent

Pros: Gives power hitters more pop. The result is a lot of Home Runs.

Cons: It did not make it 30 games into season

Save your money! Lisa Beckman Parent

Pros: Great pop Nice swing

Cons: I bought this bat in the end of July by November I was contacting Louisville Slugger to warranty the bag because it was rattling bad. They covered it no questions asked. It’s now the end of February & my daughter just called to tell me her bat is broke again, without a single game played with it. Her first game of the season is 2 days away.

Replaced after 1st game Gavin Tucker Coach

Pros: Graphics are nice

Cons: Spent a lot of money on this bat and it broke in the first game-1st at bat. Submitted a warranty claim-received one-time replacement bat. Maybe just maybe this bat will last longer than one game. Very disappointed in this product-have used Louisville Slugger bats for years. Durability rating should be minus 5 stars!!! It wouldn’t accept my post unless it was rated with at least one.

DO NOT BUY THIS BAT Matt Parent

Pros: NONE BAT IS NO GOOD

Cons: Bought this bat because my daughter wouldn't use her Mizuno Power Carbon 2. She said it wasn't a Louisville Slugger. That's how bad she is brainwashed by these softball coaches that think they are Gods and know everything about softball. Political BS. Any way didn't even own this bat a month and it's broke. $400 wasted. I donated the Mizuno to another school. Now I'm trying to have Louisville send a different bat. I do not want another one of these.

Unreal pop out of the wrapper Mike Parent

Pros: Great pop. Home run bat. Slightly more end load than that of the LXT. Excellent bat!

Great Bat with lots of Pop Sandra Player

Pros: Not sure what the others here are swinging, but I am a power hitter that crushes the ball with the PXT. I have seen on hittrax that I can hit further with this bat over LXT and Xeno. I guess everyone likes something different, but this bat launches the ball.

Cons: none.

Amazing Ashley Parent

Pros: My daughter has used this bat for 3 games and 2 practices. She’s a super strong heavy hitter and this bat has preformed exceptionally. Everyone has asked where she got it and the brand. She’s 11 and she’s cramming it to the fence with almost every hit!

Cons: None. So far amazing bat!!

6 Months in and still Mashing Coach Pete Coach

Pros: No issues with our PXT as of yet. Fingers crossed it holds up, because this is one of the hottest bats our team has swung. The power hitting girls absolutely love it and they won't swing anything else.

Cons: none so far

They know they have a problem John Meyers Parent

Pros: Good looking and the ball flies off the bat. No doubt about it, this is a hot bat.

Cons: My daughter broke 2 of these. When I called, the rep said you can't use it under 60 degrees. We were in Florida at the end of March. The second one broke indoors before it was broke in and saw a game. Also, the umps know it. After they took 2 of them out of play before a game I later ask them and they said, "we look for them and shake them good". Enough said, when the bat was legal it was lethal, but buyer beware.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Louisville Slugger PXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPPX19A10? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How does this bat compare to the Louisville Slugger LXT bat for a 12 yr old? Mom of 2
The Louisville Slugger PXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPPX19A10 will be a more end loaded feel compared to the Louisville Slugger LXT's, which means the bat will feel heavier towards the end or cap of the bat. Typically an end loaded swing weight works well for stronger more mature players that can handle the heavier end load and the LXT works really well for younger players.
Max
Is this bat well suited for a lefty slapper who is called upon for a variety of situations from bunts to slaps to long drives into the OF? John
The Louisville Slugger PXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPPX19A10 would not be the best option for a slapper type hitter from LS. A better option would be the Louisville Slugger LXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPLX19A10.
Cameron
My daughter is 5'7" and 130 pounds as a 14U player. She currently uses an LXT -11 and I am looking at a new bat for her. The extra weight and being end loaded should be a nice progression in her swing as she has gotten stronger. Does this sound about right to you guys? Rob
Yes, I think it makes sense to move her up to a -10 since she has gotten stronger. The Louisville Slugger PXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPPX19A10 won't be as balanced as the LXT but can definitely still be effective for her if she is more of a power hitter. The extra weight can help to generate more power behind the ball.
Tori
Can you use this bat in the batting cages on the pitching machine? Jaden
We suggest the Louisville Slugger PXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPPX19A10 be used with only regulated softball balls. Many times batting cages will use weighted dimple balls, we would suggest refraining from using this or any bat with those balls.
Daveron
Does this bat help your swing get around faster? Lauren Fulcher
The Louisville Slugger PXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPPX19A10 features an end loaded swing weight. This is not recommended for players looking to develop a faster swing speed. This option is great for power hitters with the physical strength to manage the weight distribution. A player looking to work on faster swing speed, the balanced Louisville Slugger LXT -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: WTLFPLX19A10 would be an option to consider.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
