Pros: Hotter than the 918 right out of the package. Hottest does BBcor bat ever
Cons: None Except cost but you get what you pay for
Pros: I was extremely surprised how much pop this bat has right out of the wrapper. The sweet spot is huge. My son's exit velocity made an immediate jump of almost 10mph off the tee. The bats performance is well worth the investment
Cons: Due to the barrel mass the bat is a little more end loaded then the other prime models. Not a big issue for us , but you can feel the difference initially.
Pros: It has amazing pop off the bat and every swing feels like u hit a home run. There is no vibration and even though it cost a lot it is worth it. I definitely recommend this bat.
Cons: None.
Pros: Hot off the box. No need to roll the bat
Cons: $$$$
Pros: This bat has some major pop right out the wrapper. If you square it up it will be LAUNCHED.
Cons: None so far
Pros: Exceptional barrel size, big pop and power. Even a bad swing can launch the ball into the gaps...I`m a collage freshman and demoed all of them. THE BEST!!
Cons: Absolutely non. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Pros: I bought this bat for my 14 year old and he loves it. It hit great new, but after a short break in time you can tell the bat is getting even hotter. I cant wait to see it in games.
Cons: None
Pros: Has the most pop out of any bat I’ve swung. I’ve swung a lot of bats in my career and this one is probably the best one yet! Doesn’t sting and you don’t have to even break it in at all. The price is high, but this bat is the best one on the market!
Cons: None
Pros: Huge barrel and sweat spot, above avg pop (recommend braking in), and good feel with no vibration.
Cons: Little end heavy.
Pros: Excellent pop when hitting on the sweet spot. Not as hot out of the wrapper as most reviews claim. My son (13 yo) has used the bat since Christmas (over 1000 swings) and feels it's just now getting broke in. Pop is not as good as some of the Marucci or DeMarini composites he's used in the past Looks good out of the wrapper
Cons: Cosmetically looks sweet brand new but paint chipped within two weeks on both the barrel and the knob. I can understand a paint chip on the knob but paint chipping off the barrel of a $500 bat is unacceptable. Since Wilson/Louisville won't cover this under warranty we're stuck with it. I can promise you if Marucci came out with a BBCOR composite I'd purchase that instead Significantly worse on mis-hits that are not right on the sweet spot. Sweet spot definitely seems smaller than advertised Feels more end loaded than balanced compared to previous bats he's used (both to him and me)
Pros: This bat has sooo much POP! My son hit with this bat in practice and the ball just flies. There is definitely a visible exit velocity increase, as the ball comes off hot. My son stated that there is little to no vibration on ball impact and the bat has a great feel. He has historically used the DeMarini CF Zen; thus this is his first Louisville Slugger. He stated that in comparison, the LS Meta Prime has the most POP. We'll have to see how this bat holds up, this baseball season, in order to truly judge durability; thus from what I've seen thus far this has been a very worthwhile purchase.
Cons: None at the moment. Some will balk at the price, but it is a small investment for the elite hitter seeking to take his game to the next level.
Pros: I bought this Bat for my son who plays in high school. The bat arrived and right out of the box he took it to a game where he went 2for2 Back to Back HR's! I bought another one.
Cons: no cons...
Pros: Great sound and feel. Bought this for my 15 year old son who playing in high school. Ball is coming off the bat fiercely. Can't wait to see when bat is fully broken in.
Cons: A little pricey .
Pros: Well balanced, good pop(BBCOR), no vibration
Cons: Lasted two weeks, not durable
Pros: Really good pop all up and down the barrel. Zero vibration. Only had it a month so not sure about durability
Cons: Price. Uunnnggghhh! But so far it looks like you get what you pay for
Pros: The kids love it. Bought to share and will do this for more teams.
Cons: None
Pros: Hot bat if my son could of actually used it during the actual season:/
Cons: Huge crack in the sweet spot :/ it was a warranty replacement from a -5 zen that broke last year . And this didn’t last 3 months . Smh
Pros: Bought this as a bat to last a couple years for my 13 year old son. He loves the feel of the bat. A little end loaded, but it feels lighter than some of the heavier end loaded bats. The bat has some pop and he has confidence walking up to the plate. There isn't a lot of vibration and feels like a wood bat when you hit it right.
Cons: Price, but if the bat lasts two years its worth it. Not sure if it will though. After two practices and about 200 swings, the paint has chipped in three different places. He has been playing baseball since he was 6 and this is the first bat that has ever chipped.
Pros: Great pop, feel, etc
Cons: NOT DURABLE AT ALL. First bat lasted 1 1/2 months before connection broke and second one lasted 2 weeks. Inside pitch cracked barrel
Pros: It’s balance and it feels really good. Has a lot of pop
Cons: Price
Pros: Amazing pop straight out of the wrapper.
Cons: Like I said right out of the wrapper had great pop but shortly after it feels dead.
Pros: Great pop after 150 hits! Sounds fantastic. Pretty balanced swing. Great feel with virtually no vibration!
Cons: Price!
Pros: An excellent bat all around. Amazing wood bat-like "pop"
Cons: Finish chips easily
Pros: I got the Meta Prime as soon as it hit the website. From the first ball hit, I was in love with it. This is the best BBCOR bat I've ever used!!! Pop from this bat is second to none. There is no break in time required so it's game ready right out of the package. Balanced feel so you can get more bat speed. There is little to no vibration. Massive sweet spot so nearly every ball hit feels like a home run, even jam shots and hits off the end cap feel good. If you're looking for a bat with great balance and even better pop, this is the bat for you.
Cons: Absolutely none
Pros: Has a super amount of pop just not durable
Cons: Not durable
Pros: Pop, balance, vibration are all attributes to this bat. All but one player is using this bat.
Cons: NONE !!!

Pros: Great pop
Cons: Bat cracked after 3 months
Pros: My son loves this bat. great pop, balanced swing weight and feel.
Cons: Had it for about a month none so far.
Pros: Nothing:(
Cons: My first time hitting with in the cage an it cracked within the first 30 swings. Don't wast your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Pros: Insane pop, never get jammed with this bat and it feels like a prefect hit every time. Best bat that i have ever swung and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Cons: It dosnt come with the best grip so i would definitely recommend replacing it. I have seen multiple meta primes and they all have small chips in the barrel.
Pros: Great pop feels great hit 315 bomb first tournament
Cons: After a couple of weeks of intense use the connection piece on the handle broke and the bar vibrates a lot more
Pros: Good
Cons: Price
Pros: Tons of pop
Cons: Paint chips easy
Pros: The bat has a classic appearance, feels great to swing and delivers the pop you'd exect from a high-end BBCOR bat.
Cons: Would like the price to come down before I buy another. Also, this bat was not available for about a month or more. Not sure if that was intentional, but a bit of a downer from Louisville Slugger.
Pros: The kid swinging the bat.
Cons: None.
Pros: . So much pop I lose the ball after I hit it . Feels better than any bat I've ever had . It doesn't get lots of marks and doesn't take a lot to break in
Cons: . It is really EXPENSIVE (>;-:)> $$$$$$
Pros: Great pop! Feels good and little vibration.
Cons: Can't think of any cons.
Pros: Hottest bat I’ve ever put in my hands hits like a -5
Cons: None
Pros: By far the hottest bbcor bat out there!!! Not even close!
Cons: Price
Pros: This bat is fire right out of the wrapper and I went 4-4 with 2hr and a double right after it came out of the box.
Cons: if you think there are cons to this bat, you are weird
Pros: dinger derby
Cons: none

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
