Pros: Decent price point for this bat. Good Sound Decent Sweet Spot Reaction Just received the bat so this is a very early review and cannot speak to the durability.
Cons: Typical USA Baseball Bat so know that you will have a small sweet spot and vibration everywhere else. Grip is not good quality, but I replace all my kids bats with others anyway, so not a big deal to me. Just know the factory one probably won't last long. Another typical USA Baseball Bat in that the -11 is not the case. Ordered this one in a 27/16 but the actual weight (on my postage meter scale) is at 17.4 ounces. Will never figure out what USA Baseball is trying to do to these younger kids transitioning from tee-ball to coach pitch as there isn't really a bat out there any can swing properly, unless you have a big/strong 6 year old!
Pros: Got this bat because there was a delay in the 27" Beast model and I had to have something for Fall Ball. My son likes the way it looks and lets face it, a 6 year old need to like it. This bat is much closer to the -11 than the 2018 models. I did not weigh it, but my son can put a much better swing on it than the 28" -10 2018 model we had borrowed from a friend. Decent pop for him and has not complained about vibration lately (see cons).
Cons: I have to agree with another reviewer, I had to change the grip. I do not like the original grip that comes on these bats. It is somewhat padded and not very forgiving. My son complained about stinging and vibration. I replaced it with another grip a 0.5 mm just to try and keep the grip small and allow my sons hands to fully get around the grip. Have not heard a complaint about sting yet.
Pros: I got two of these for my two kids and they are both singing the praises of it. Drop 11 makes them feel like they have quicker hands and don't have to sacrifice pop versus heavier bats.
Cons: It's a "USA" bat so it doesn't compare to other BBCOR/USSSA bats, but it's pretty good.
Pros: This bat is very balanced, not hand or end loaded. Has great pop, much improved from last year's Easton models.
Cons: Some vibration from miss hits. Dented after 2 games, on the inner part of the barrel, around the "E"
Pros: Bat has traditional feel and pop to it. Still a USA bat, however, this bat has some power in it. Sounds like a bat should and elevates the ball much better than any of the 2018 bats.
Cons: When it comes to USA Bats no real negatives at all. My son is 9 and is hitting it harder and farther than last Fall.
Pros: My 5 year old was excited how much pop it had and how it felt compared to his previous bats.
Cons: It is a one piece alloy, so the vibration is one thing my son hates.
Pros: Good balance , decent pop
Cons: Major dents after the first scrimmage
Pros: Don’t have one. Unless you think the looks is a pro.
Cons: Terrible vibrations this is my second bat because I returned the first one after 2 days of practice it had a nice bow to it along with 2 dents. So I get the 2nd one today. Practiced with it today only and there is now a dent in it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Pros: Great bat for price. My 12yo says great pop and no vibration.
Cons: No issues so far after several weeks of use by my son
Pros: This bat helped my 10 year old sons swing almost instantly. He was using a 2018 Rawlings 5150 but it looked like he was swinging it through water this year. His bat speed and hand eye coordination have improved greatly in only 2 games. We really like the balance of this bat overall. Nice sweet spot and just a fun bat. To quote my boy "It has elevated my hitting."
Cons: Grip tape is a bit thick but that can be changed- we are keeping it for now. As far as sting goes, he has said there is some but he says his Easton youth VRS gloves do a great job with combating bat sting. I have not noticed any denting with ours yet.
Pros: For the price, it seems to compare well to the other bats in this category. I cannot compare this to other classifications of bats, but my son ( 7 years old) really liked the balance of the bat. We compared bat head to head with the DeMarini, Anderson ( 2nd place) and an Axe. He also felt that he could feel the barrel of the bat coming around a little more than the others. Last and I am not sure if this is a pro, but he likes the color. I will see what he thinks about the grip and if he wants to change it.
Cons: The white paint chips pretty easy. I am not sure if this is normal or just the paint. At this point, we will wait to see how the bat performs against the live pitching this week. I will update as there is a better chance for performance.
Pros: Price, good pop, my son loves it.
Cons: Bat dented after one month of use.
Pros: A Very good light swinging bat
Cons: Three weeks old and has two dents in it already. Sending back to Eatston
Pros: It hits good
Cons: Not as much pop
Pros: Looks good, not too end heavy for a big barrel
Cons: Bat bent after 6 games by my 7 year old.
Pros: Son got a couple of hits
Cons: The bat bent, and has a dent... The bat was purchased for my 10 year old, how hard can a 10 year old possibly hit? The bat bent, Waiting to see if Easton will honor warranty.
Pros: I coach 8u machine pitch kids. Bat (27/16)held up well for 36-38 mph (power level 7 & 8). Lightweight, only 1 ounce over said weight. Smaller kids, slower swinging kids are able to get bat around to make fair hits, which they were striking out with just 1-2 ounce heavier bats. Great for coach pitch due to reduce pitch speed. Bat has decent pop for usabat & if you have good hitters that actually have proper swings.
Cons: Cheap grip, but cheap bat. As said in pro, good for slower speed pitching on machine. All star pitching speed is 40 mph. 1st all star tournament game, bat has 3 dents on barrel & 1 dent on handle which actually bent entire bat. Figured was fluke due to hit on handle right at top of grip, didn't find other dents till after buying another one. 2nd tournament, played 4 games, has large & small dent at bottom of barrel on opposite sides of each other. Seen similar reviews about denting, spend more money & get better bat. Have '18 ghost x hyper lite bat that has held up 2.5 yrs, it's composite not alloy. Like composite better in usssa bats better also.
Pros: My son really liked this bat, good pop and light weight BUT none of this matters when it bends and dents right away making it trash after just a handful of uses
Cons: This bat bent on the 3rd use. Paid $37 to ship it to Easton for a warranty replacement. They sent me a replacement that dented/bent the first time my son used it, which was one year and one month after the replacement because last year our season was CANCELED due to COVID. Easton is refusing to replace. Do yourself a favor and go with the Louisville Omaha bat.
