Voodoo Greg Legeza parent

Pros: none

Cons: I purchased this bat a local sporting goods store. Hit off a tee one time and noticed the bat was bent. Decided to give the bat another try just, thinking I just got a lemon or it got damaged at the store. Purchased another one online, received the bat and it was straight. Went to the cage and did soft toss and didn't get through a bucket of balls and noticed the bat was bent again. There is some type of issue with the transition from the barrel to handle.

Max
Will you be selling the Voodoo Insane BBCOR? player
As of now we are only selling the 2019 DeMarini CF Insane BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXCIC19 not the Insane model of the 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19.
Max
What size bat would you recommend for me if I am 6 feet and 185 lbs? Baseball1234
Based on your height and weight, I would recommend getting the 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 in a 33''.
Tori
What is the warranty on this bat? stu
This bat comes with a full 12 month warranty.
Kyle J.
Does this bat have a lot of flex? James Avitia
Due to it having a two-piece design, this 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (WTDXVBC19) will have a decent amount of flex to it.
Ben
Is this a USSSA bat? Trisha Edwards
No, this is a BBCOR certified bat indicating that it is intended for high school play and above. Some USSSA leagues will allow BBCOR models in the age range of 13-15, but I would use a USSSA model if you are allowed to as it will have more pop than a BBCOR model.
Kyle J.
I have a freshman this year who needs a drop 3 and wants to play Babe Ruth that needs a USA stamp. Can I get one that has both? Pam
The 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 will not come with a USA stamp and there will not be a BBCOR bat that will come with a USA stamp. You are able to use the 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 in Babe Ruth as BBCOR certification is allowed.
Max
Does this bat come in a one piece model? David
The 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 is always going to be a two-piece model with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The most equivalent bat in a one-piece design would be the 2019 DeMarini Voodoo One BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVOC19.
Cameron
How does this compare to the Louisville Slugger Omaha 519? Baseball guy
The 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (WTDXVBC19) will feature a two-piece design. It will feature an alloy barrel and a composite handle. The Omaha 519 will feature a one-piece all alloy design. Both models will have a balanced swing weight.
John
What is the difference in the BC19 and the IC19? Curtis
The only real difference is in the swing weights of the models. This DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 is a balanced bat, while the WTDXVIC19 (Insane) is an end loaded bat. Balanced models can be used by both contact and power hitters while end loaded bats are generally only used by power hitters.
Tyler
Should I get the balanced or Insane? I am 5'11'' and 195 lbs. Andruw
Choosing between a balanced and end loaded bat really depends on the type of hitter you are. Balanced bat like the 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 are best suited for contact hitter. End loaded bats, like the Insane, are best suited for power hitters who can get more power out of the added weight without it affecting their swing speed.
Tori
I want to know if the bat WTDXVBC19 bent like some people say in some of the post reviews? Luis
Unfortunately we do not handle any of the warranty claims on the DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 so we would not know if these bats have become bent after using. To our knowledge with this bat that would be a very rare occurrence.
Cameron
Like the older Demarini voodoo baseball bats, does this model need to be broken it at all or is it fresh out of he wrapper like aluminum bats? Ben Carr
Correct, the DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 will not require any break-in period because it is an alloy barrel.
Tyler
What size should I get I’m 5ft 9 and weigh 145lbs? Conner
With the player specs listed, we would suggest the 32" option of the DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19.
Daveron
How come I can’t find the 2019 Voodoo Insane anywhere? I can only find the CF Insane. Big Dawg
Unfortunately trying to find the end-loaded version (Insane) of the DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 may be tough at this juncture as DeMarini will be releasing a 2020 lineup of bats in the near future.
Cameron
What bat would be most like the old DeMarini Voodoo Overlord BBCOR from back in 2014-15? Preston
The closest would be an "Insane" model from DeMarini, which will have an end-loaded design similar to the old Overlord. For example, the 2019 DeMarini CF Insane BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXCIC19.
Kyle
Is there a break in period with this Bat, or is it hot right out of the wrapper? Joe Sparks
The DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 will not require a break in period and because of that will be hot out of the wrapper.
Max
I'm a power hitter and I was wondering would the DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR be too light for me? I will be going to play college ball next year and the velocity will be faster than what I am used to seeing. Would the balanced version be better for me or should I go with the end load? I am 5'8" tall and 210 lbs. Daniel
If you consider yourself a power hitter, I would lean towards an end-loaded design such as the Demarini CF Zen Insane BBCOR (WTDXCIC19), as it might suit your style a bit better. In the end though it is mostly personal preference since swinging the model you are most comfortable with will do more for your performance than anything. If you think you can handle the heavier feel of an end-loaded model, it will offer better power, but the balanced models do make it a bit easier to get the bat around.
Kyle
How does this bat compare to the Easton BBCOR Ghost X? Jeff
The DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 and the Easton Ghost X are both going to be balanced two-piece bats. However, the Voodoo will have an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Ghost X is fully composite.
Tori
I noticed on the DeMarini website that the Voodoo Balanced and the CF Insane had the same mass index. Does that mean that they will have the same amount of pop? Daniel
The pop between the two bats will be nearly identical, yes, according to DeMarini's Mass Index chart. Generally speaking, power hitters prefer the feel of an end-loaded design, while contact hitters often prefer balanced models.
Kyle
What is the difference between this bat and the 2016 Voodoo Raw? Alex S.
In terms of overall construction, the DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat (WTDXVBC19) and DeMarini Voodoo RAW BBCOR Baseball Bat (DXVDC) will be fairly similar - both bats feature a composite handle and aluminum barrel. Other than an updated aluminum, composite and connection point, the major difference between these models will be the swing weight. The Voodoo RAW had an end-loaded swing where this DeMarini Voodoo will feature a balanced swing weight.
Taylor
When is the line of 2020 Voodoos supposed to be out for sale? Kannon Largo
The DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 was released the first week of August 2018, so I would expect around the same time for the 2020 models.
Logan
What bat of the 2 2019 Voodoo One models (Voodoo One & Voodoo One balanced) are closest to the 2018 voodoo One Balanced BBCOR? Ryan
The DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 will be a two-piece hybrid model, a composite handle with an alloy barrel. The DeMarini Voodoo One is a full alloy model, you can view that model at https://www.justbats.com/product/2019-demarini-voodoo-one-bbcor-baseball-bat--wtdxvoc19/30437/.
Max
How would this compare to the 2019 CF Zen balanced BBCOR? Arul Chutani
The DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 is also a two-piece bat, just like the CF Zen, and will feature a balanced swing weight as well. The difference is that the Voodoo is a hybrid two-piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle; the Zen will be a two-piece all composite.
Cameron
Trying to decide between the 2019 Demarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR and the 2019 Dmarini Zen. Which would benefit a solid contact hitter better? What difference would Alloy / Composite vs. all composite bat make? Will
The 2019 DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 and the CF Zen are both balanced two-piece bats that will offer some flex in the swing which can be beneficial to contact hitters. Alloy can be slightly more durable than composite. Alloy is hottest right out of the wrapper, whereas composite gets hotter over time when the fibers start to break down. Having the composite handle will break down on vibration during contact. The Zen will have a slightly more balanced feel and I would recommend that for someone who needs help with swing speed. The Voodoo Balanced would be a better choice for a contact hitter who already has good speed and a little more power.
Tori
Is this bat legal for the 2020 NFHS high school season this spring in Texas ? Q
Yes, this bat will be legal for high school play since it is BBCOR certified. The ban on white bats is only for NCAA play, as far as we know. You could check with your coach or a high school official to make sure your league is not implementing that rule as well, but it should not affect high school players.
Kyle
I know this bat is not in stock, but would you know of anywhere where I can look to find this model? Jonny Suarez
Unfortunately, we are not aware of any other retailers that might have the DeMarini Voodoo Balanced BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTDXVBC19 in stock.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."

In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.

Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.

To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.

In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.

Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.

With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).

In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.

Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.

In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.

More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
