Pros: We have had this bat all fall season .no cracks ,dings dents and hits similar to last years. The barrell seems to have had a few changes .We like this one its in the bag for every game.Great for a usa bat
Cons: Hits a little stiff but really no complaints in the last few weeks.
Pros: Has a lot of pop right out of the box for a USA bat. My son is 7 and loves the way his swing feels with this bat. He has been using the Easton S750, which has been a really good bat for him. The DeMarini bat just takes the sting out of it, swings better, and has more pop. I would definitely recommend it.
Cons: Wish we got it earlier!
Pros: It’s was awesome has no vibration to me and it’s a bat you want
Cons: It’s a little expensive that’s it really
Pros: Good pop for a USA bat. My son hit a HR to straightaway CF with his first at bat with this bat.
Cons: none
Pros: Excellent pop. Boys love the grip. Balance is amazing.
Cons: Scuffs way to easy.
Pros: My son swings the USSSA zen and we decided to upgrade his rec bat to this for the all star season. It’s an ounce heavier so we weren’t sure how he would do. First night at the field and he was blasting balls to the fence. He’s a decent hitter anyway but at only 8 years old 54lbs he was never a power hitter. He is now one of the biggest hitter on his team. Great buy
Cons: Barrel is a little shorter than expected mostly making it look odd. Hasn’t seemed to interfere with performance.
Pros: Feels lighter than it should. Great sweet spot. My son feels more confident since we got it which means he's swinging easier and lighter and hitting the ball farther
Cons: None
Pros: My son and most players on his team love the “Zen”. He said it has fantastic pop, minimal vibration & the weight is perfect. After purchasing the bat I walked into a national sporting good store and found the exact bat for $100 less. I sent a general email to the customer service rep. at JustBats explaining the situation and within five minutes of hitting send I received a notification from my credit card company that $100 was credited back to my card. It’s good to know that they truly stand behind both their products AND pricing.
Cons: None
Pros: Light weight Nice grip
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Decent pop and well balanced for USA bat
Cons: Had the bat for 3 months, and the handle separated from the barrel! Contacted Demarini and they gave me the runaround and did not replace the bat (even though I provided pictures). Now, headed to the 9-11 LL All Star State Tourney without a bat. This is my 3rd Demarini bat... Won't purchase another one.
Pros: Nice pop
Cons: None
Pros: My 8 year old loves this bat. We just received it a week or so, and being a composite, we had to break it in. He didn’t complain about the feel of the bat, or any vibrations, during that entire process. He’s used it for a couple hitting sessions since the break in process & it feels like he is getting more distance on his hits. The customer service at justbats was great, also; I found the bat cheaper elsewhere, called them up & was walked through a very quick, very painless process of matching the price. The bat was delivered in just a few days, where the other site’s delivery would have taken 2 weeks. Will definitely buy from justbats again.
Cons: None, so far. Gave a 3 for durability, as he hasn’t used the bat for long enough to know how it will hold up. If the bat holds up, this will be a 5 star review, across the board.
Pros: A lot of pop right out of the wrapper!
Cons: Nine so far
Pros: quick break in - didn't take long to get the bat in good hitting shape great feel out of the box solid construction (i've never had problems with DeMarini, but i know others have) lightweight and lightning quick - not whippy.
Cons: it's expensive and everyone knows about Demarinis challenges with durability
Pros: Great bat in -10 but now I’m playing 13U and I need a drop -3 or drop -5 fast
Cons: No Bad things
Pros: Overall great bat, with plenty of pop. Kid hits on average 10-15’ further.
Cons: None
Pros: Bat is good. My son loves it cause it nice and gives the ball a good pop.
Cons: Can’t use with certain balls because the bat will crack or break apart.
Pros: No vibration, a lot more pop that other USA bats
Cons: None
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing except the 2pc makes it flex sooo much reducing pop
Pros: good pop, durability and feel
Cons: none
Pros: Good balance and grate pop.
Cons: The barrel seams to be short and if you do not hit in the sweet spot the vibration is bad.
Pros: My son plays on a 12U Travel team and since we picked up a 32/22 Zen, he has been such a better hitter. He really loves this bat. He wont use his Quattro Pro anymore
Cons: None yet.
Pros: None because bat won’t last
Cons: Durability End cap broke last year, but replaced in May. Barrel of replacement bat shattered in July. Made the mistake of buying a new bat at that time so 11year old could finish state tournament. Saved the new bat this year for games only and end cap broke after less than 50 swings. Say no to Demarini.
Pros: 12 u Hits Nukes , absolute moon shots
Cons: None
Pros: I grabbed this for my son who is 12, but he's 5'9" and 110 lbs. I wanted to get him a longer bat. So far it's been great. It's hot out of the wrapper and will only get better. It's more end loaded, but light swinging.
Cons: none so far
Pros: my first at bat i hit a nuke then i swung really soft and hit it good
Cons: might break
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Not durable
Pros: Is a great bat and can really drive the ball
Cons: Vibration can hurt off the hands

About the Brand
In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
