Description
The Combat is back! Combat was purchased by the parent company of Easton, and Easton merged many of Combat's technologies and patents in line with the Easton bat making process.
The Combat features a hitting surface that is 20-40% larger in comparison to competitor models and provides plate coverage unlike anything you've ever seen before. COMBAT understands the need to push technology to the limits while delivering products that will perform at the highest level. Average Ratings Based on 46 Customer Reviews
Pros: I was a little worried going with this drop 5 because it seemed to be a big jump in oz. from his previous bat, but he loves it! He is 12 1/2 but he is a strong kid with a quick bat speed. After his 1st couple of try’s with hitting he said “this bat and I will be crushing it this year”! He loves the black and white as well.
Cons: We haven’t used the bar long enough to see the cons yet, but can send a review if we find some
Pros: Great Pop Huge sweet spot
Cons: None so far
Pros: None. Bat broke after three weeks of use.
Cons: Poor Quality.
Pros: Nice pop,
Cons: Did not make it past pre season
Pros: Great weight distribution almost feels lighter than my 29 -10 and I hit a dong first pitch so it’s lit
Cons: The delivery took 2 DAYS I’m just kidding the bag is great
Pros: Great bounce off bat. Son is living. Hit a triple with this on his 2nd at bat.
Cons: Sound
Pros: This bat is hot!
Cons: None so far
Pros: None
Cons: End cap breaks, no pop
Pros: Great service department at JustBats. Nice paint job on bat.
Cons: End caps are poor quality, 2 practices 2 bat end caps busted. The 2nd end cap ended up at 1st base. Very dangerous!!! Bats now made in China not close to being the same. Don't buy
Pros: Very balanced. Swings like a lighter bat
Cons: None yet
Pros: yay
Cons: yay
Pros: Great pop!!! Very balanced. My son hit 32 home runs with last years model. Some over 300 feet.
Cons: The new end cap exploded in about 8 pieces. New material is to brittle. Last years model had a more flexible plastic almost like rubber. Got the 2nd bat from warranty. See how it holds up.
Pros: The bat has good pop and feel, and the sound is not too bad. Balanced.
Cons: The handle broke after four weeks of use.
Pros: 1st pitch out of the wrapper flew past me just giving me enough time to duck behind the L Screen. We had to stop for a quick second and rethink how far we are putting the screen back. Lol ball jumped off the bat and you actually heard the wind cut through the laces on the ball.
Cons: Yes you miss a pitch towards the end of the barrel you will be reminded of the good old days growing up when bats stung
Pros: Great balanced bat for our 13U team! Don't let the quite impact fool you, the ball flies off this bat! Great for power hitters and for contact hitters! Needed to order another one for the team because everyone wants to use it.
Cons: Have not found one yet.
Pros: So good so much pop
Cons: None
Pros: Huge sweet spot. My 13 year old son loves this bat.
Cons: He said he feels some extra vibration when he bunts.
Pros: Great pop, great feel, durable and great price. My son loves Combat bats. After little league, he started with a -8 Combat, moved to the -5 and now swinging -3 at age 13. He hits the ball long and far.
Cons: None at this time.
Pros: Son liked the feel of the bat.
Cons: Bought the bat in Feb. During the first game the end cap busted. Bat was less than 2 weeks old so justbats exchanged it. Now it's April and we are having to return it AGAIN due to a giant crack in the end cap.
Pros: Huge barrel, swings like a lighter bat. My 13 yo went from 29-10 to a 30-5 with no problem. Got it a week ago so he has only hit at the cage but they seem to have a lot more pop
Cons: None yet, only used it in the cage so far.
Pros: Pop, barrel length, look
Cons: None
Pros: Like the -10 "Maxum", this is actually a Combat Vigor with Maxum pained on it. This means you lose 1" of barrel off the 32" bat, 1.5" off the 31" bat, and 2" off the 30" bat vs. a true (2016) Maxum. Extremely light swing weight though, it literally swings lighter than some of our -8 bats. Durability is still to be determined for us, but like any high performance bat, using in warm temps only will extend life.
Cons: Fair amount of vibration for such a heavy bat away from the sweet spot compared to 2 piece bats, but entirely tolerable and gives good feedback to the batter. It's not "hot" out of the wrapper, but I've never seen a composite bat that is. It takes a while to break in the whole barrel simply because there is a lot of it, but that's as much a pro as a con.
Pros: Great pop, feel and balance.
Cons: Playing a tournament this weekend and the end cap exploded again on our second warranty bat. This is a great bat and there is a simple fix by going back to the old end cap. For what ever reason they changed to a brittle plastic end cap is beyond me. What a shame!!!
Pros: None it broke with less than a month
Cons: Cracked
Pros: Large sweet spot and good pop once broken in. 13U player preferred a Ghost X Evolution over this until the Easton broke. He likes this bat alot now that he's actually using it and several teammates have started using it too. Nice balanced swing weight, it's right at -5 on a kitchen scale but kids say the 32" bat swings like a shorter bat.
Cons: Barrel is really long, looks like a softball bat next to other bats. Can't comment on durability yet because it sat in the bag until 2 weeks ago.
Pros: Looks good. Great customer service from just bats.com
Cons: Plastic cap at the top cracked after 3 weeks of use.
Pros: The bat has a lot of pop straight out of the wrapper. My son loves this bat and several of his teammates use it as well. He has always preferred Easton bats and the Combat Maxum us very similar to the Easton. The bat is well balanced so if you are looking for end load I would look at other bats but if you prefer balance this is the bat for you. I've read reviews about vibration but if you square up to the ball as you should there is no vibration. My son has mishit some balls and had little vibration but I believe if you feel some vibration with a mishit ball you will learn to prevent it and square up to the ball more. I am not a believer in looking at home runs when hitting, I always look for hard line drives and this bat works well for that. The ball comes off this bat very fast.
Cons: Haven't found any!
Pros: when you first get the bat it is really good and has a ton of pop. I was hitting really good and out of no where I could hit the bat out of the infield
Cons: I got the bat in february of 2019 and as of june 10th 2019 the handle broke and the bat is now bent and not usable.
Pros: Zero
Cons: Bat literally broke in half after less than a month of swings and only using it on live pitching with less than 50 swings on it. Will never buy another Combat. Going to request a refund or another brand of bat as this one is JUNK.
Pros: Easy to swing! My 13yo loves it!
Cons: None yet after 2 weeks!
Pros: Bat is well balanced and good pop.
Cons: It broke in the first tournament my son used it in. It had about 200-300 practice /cages balls on it before he broke it on a foul ball off the hands. The bat was 5 days removed from the box.
Pros: Balanced feel. Huge sweet spot. Pop out of the wrapper. One piece composite. Very low sting and vibration.
Cons: None yet. My experience with Combat has been that they are at the top of the pop spectrum but aren’t going to last more than a couple seasons under heavy use. They have been bought out by Easton so I’m not sure how that might affect the warranty or the future of the combat bat availability on the market. But the fact that Easton wanted them out of the market should speak to their quality as Easton clearly saw them as a threat.
Pros: Large sweet spot and has a lot of pop.
Cons: Needs a better grip tape, can leave blisters.
Pros: Good feel and pop. Still breaking it in though.
Cons: None yet.
Pros: Bat has pop right put of the wrapper. My son loves it.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Very balanced with extra large sweet spot. 13 yr old loves it.
Cons: None so far
Pros: My son loves this bat! He just had a double header this past weekend for the first time on the big field and batted 1000. Maybe beginners luck, but he definitely loves his new bat.
Cons: None
Pros: Has that typical Maxum usable barrel, great pop! Good feel for hitters like my son who appreciates the feedback, but not horrible vibration. Good looking bat. Haven't had it long enough to tell how durable it is. Have used it a good bit to contrast it not being durable and or having poor quality. Super light swing weight.
Cons: nothing at this time.
Pros: Never got to use in a game, it broke before use in a game.
Cons: Durability a 11year old kid had the bat break on a practice swing before game. Broke at end of bat handle grip.
Pros: Seems like an average bat. With a barrel this large you would think the sweet spot would be larger. Maybe it’s just this single bat but there are dead areas on the bat. The drop 11 was awesome. This-5 is average.
Cons: Our experience with Combat in the past has been exceptional. But this -5 sent to me is average. Thank you.
Pros: This bat is amazing the sweet spot is anywhere you could hit it on the grip and you’ll hit a dinger and the barrel is really big
Cons: Nothing
Pros: My son is in the process of transitioning to middle school baseball and learning to swing with a drop -5 bat. This bat is durable and lightweight making this transition very easy . Have had great experiences with Combat bats over the years .
Cons: None so far
Pros: We bought this bat to transition from a -10 to a -5 and had no issues. My son was swinging this with no issues almost immediately. We've really liked the bat, it looks good and has good pop.
Cons: People sometimes say it's a softball bat due to the larger than normal barrel.
Pros: good pop
Cons: not durable
Pros: Has lots of pop.
Cons: The cap broke off my second game using it in middle school.
Pros: We purchased this bat due to it being balanced so my son can continue to get better at hitting. The price was what we were able to afford, so that was a plus but boy did we get what we paid for.
Cons: I have photos, but am unable to post them, but this bat snapped right in half just above the grip. I purchased it Jan 20, 2020 and due to COVID on have a month of practice on it. Well, it just snapped in two while my son was at bat during a tourney June 13, 2020. I CANNOT tell you enough to be wary of this bat and company, as I have NEVER seen a composite bat snap it half.
