WOWZA ALL CAPS TJ player

Pros: SOOO LIGHTWEIGHT. MY SWING SPEED IS DRAMATICALLY FASTER WITH THE VELO OVER ANY OTHER BAT IVE USED. THE PING ON A HIT IN THE SWEET SPOT IS SO LOUD IT WILL HURT YOUR EARS SOMETIMES. THIS BBCOR VELO IS A 10/10

Cons: WHITE GRAPHICS NEVER ENDS WELL

Great bat, but don't buy it if you fall in love it Adam coach

Pros: Outstanding bat, feels great, durable but.........

Cons: I bought this bat because I loved the grip that came on it. Unfortunately my grip got a tear in it from falling on a sharp piece of metal in the dugout and when I called Rawlings the very rude representative said they are not allowed to say if they manufacture it and the grip isn't included in the warranty. They did say that the exact grip on the bat is not for sale as a replacement, so I guess what Rawlings is trying to get you to do is buy a new bat to keep the same grip.

This bat is insane!!! LittleMoney parent

Pros: My son swings 33/30 and was using the 2017 Mako Beast, a teammate brought this bat in and they did a bat to bat comparison, Well the Velo won! I did not want to buy him a new bat, but the pop and distance out of the wrapper was undeniable! Don't get me wrong, the Mako is a great bat also, but this bat out performs. 3 kids (18U) tested it and and the same thought process!

Cons: Better get some ear plugs!

Bengal Dad Jason parent

Pros: My son wanted to replace his 2016 Velo because he had hit it for the last 2 years. He is 6' and 193lbs so we moved up to the 34/31. Out of the packaging he is hitting absolute bombs! The weather has been kind of cold and he's hitting 350'-380' consistently. The bat has crazy pop and has met all of his expectations. His coach told me that he thinks the bat is illegal. That is how much pop this bat has.

Cons: This really isn't a con but a white bat isn't my favorite.

Solid not special James Parent

Pros: Swing is clean, weight is good. Assume it will last. Spent $$ on the 918 and ended up getting this bat when the pop never developed in the 918. Has hit well with a homer in the first few varsity games. Good swing weight and solid all around.

Cons: Won’t ever have real explosive pop. Now awful like the 918 but not great.

broke within 2 days Danny Welch Player

Pros: looks great does not ring you up when you hit near the handle or the end really light swinging, rawlings customer service for their bat warranty is great.

Cons: absolutley no pop sweet spot is smaller than average within 3 days of buying broke in handle like wood bat but broke clean off, on the first day i broke the bat in with about 10-20 swings into net, second day went to the field and hit 10-20 more times, third day hit around 20-30 hits and all of the sudden it felt like I hit the sweet spot and bat broke right on the handle and flew about 60-80 feet down the shortstop line. I did notice that where it broke it looked like some of it was pre exposed

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is different from this model when compared to last year's model? junior
The biggest update on this 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8V3) from the 2017 version of the VELO BBCOR bat will be the new cosmetics. Besides the new look, the bats will be pretty similar to be honest.
Ben
Thinking about this bat or the 2018 LS 718. I am a contact hitter that has some pop. Currently using a Cat 7 but looking at an upgrade. I have used the VELO in the past. KS77
Being that the Cat 7 is a one-piece all alloy bat, the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat will feel very similar to the Cat 7. Both the Cat 7 and the Rawlings VELO both have a balanced feeling for the hitter as well. The 2018 Louisville Slugger Select 718 BBCOR Baseball Bat is a 3-piece bat with an end loaded feel and is more geared towards the power hitters. I would recommend going with the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat because I feel that you will be more comfortable with this bat.
Cade
How is the pop compared to the black VELO that was available a couple years ago? joshILO
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat is going to be very similar to the 2015 black model of the same bat. There will be no noticeable pop difference but the bat might feel a little different in the hitters hands.
Cade
I'm a D-1, power hitter. I currently use the 2017 VELO and was looking for a 34" bat that is end-heavy. Since I'm in the NE and it's cold most of the season. I guess I need to stay away from a composite bat. Do you have one that fits the criteria I need? Zach
If you wanted an aluminum bat with an end-loaded feel when compared to this 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8V3) [this VELO will be very balanced], I would recommend checking out the 2017 Easton Z-CORE XL BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB17ZX).
Ben
Will the bat grip be the same from last year's VELO model? John Alexio
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 offers the same bat grip as the previous model.
Trevor
Is this the same bat as last year's model or does this one have more pop or a larger sweet spot? joshua knoth
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8V3) has the same features as the last years model. The difference is in the overall look of the bat.
Mick
A purchase would be a surprise birthday present for my son. If he doesn't like the bat, is it returnable for a full refund? NA
As long as you keep the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8V3) in the original, unused condition then you may return it for a full refund or exchange.
JP
Will the Velo have more pop or better performance than the Cat 7? Which one will have a larger sweet spot? joshua knoth
It would be hard to say one of the bats you mentioned would have more pop than the other since they are very similar in terms of construction. The Cat 7 has a slightly larger sweet spot, but the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is a bit more balanced for a lighter swing weight.
Logan
Does the composite end cap reduce vibration compared to a regular aluminum bat? IDK
The composite end cap on the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 doesn't really affect the vibration reduction for the bat, but it does help with reducing excess weight making the bat more balanced.
Logan
Is this bat good for power hitters? FLAMES??
Although the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is well balanced, the one piece design offers stiffness that power hitters seek.
Logan
Is this bat good for power hitters? FLAMES??
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 would be a great option for power hitters. The stick alloy will benefit a power hitter and maximize bat speed.
Max
Can I use this in 2018 BBCOR? In other words, can I use this bat even with the new 2018 Rule in place? Evan H.
Yes, you can still use this bat for 2018 BBCOR leagues. BBCOR rules and regulations are not being changed or altered in anyway with the new 2018 USA Bat standards. Those are for Little League only. Any BBCOR bats available now will still be legal.
Kyle J.
Does the 2018 Velo have a lighter swing weight than the Louisville Slugger Solo 618? daniel guerrero
Although the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 and the 2018 Louisville Slugger Solo 618 BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS618B3 are very similar in terms of swing weight, most players feel as though the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is the lightest swinging BBCOR bat.
Logan
What are the differences between the 2017 Velo and the 2018 Velo? daniel g
Besides the cosmetics, the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8V3) is a hybrid whereas the 2017 model is a one piece alloy.
Mick
I'm a senior in high school, 5'11 240 pounds. I have very quick hands and I need a new bat. I am debating between the 918 Prime, or the new VELO. I have the blue 2016 VELO and love it, but not sure which you guys think would be best for me. Will
I would recommend going with the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 in a 34''. The light weight feel and the even balanced will help you as a power hitter.
Max
What is the difference between the 2018 Rawlings and the 2016 Rawlings? I'm looking for a new bat. joel
Really the only difference in the 2016 Rawlings Velo and the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is the color of the bat. Both feature the same design and construction.
Logan
Is there a reason why the 2018 Velo isn"t as loud as the previous models? Jacoby
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 should still have a fairly loud ping sound as it consists of acoustic alloy.
Dan
My son has the 2016 VELO and the 2014 VELO. The 2016 is 33-30. He is now 6'4" and weighs 175. Would you recommend a different length or stay with the 33"? Dody
It's suggested that a 6'4" 175lb player uses a 34" bat. However, if he does not feel comfortable using that length and weight, he could stay with a 33" bat and be perfectly fine. The size of the bat is largely based on player preference.
Mick
What is the difference between hybrid and alloy as you mentioned? Scri
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 will be a alloy, a hybrid bat is half alloy and half composite.
Max
How does the VELO compare to the Prime? lisa
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is a one-piece all alloy model with a balanced swing weight while the LS Prime 917 is a two-piece composite model with a balanced swing weight. The Prime 917 will be better able to reduce vibration from an off-centered hit while the VELO will be stiffer on impact. Both are great bats and we would not say that either will offer significantly more performance capabilities over the other.
Cameron
Can you tell me the difference other than the cosmetics between the Velo BBRV3, BB7V, and the BB8V3 2Smooth
The biggest difference would be the tacky grip between the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 and the BB7V.
Max
Is there a break in period since it's a hybrid and is more delicate than the 2017 model? David B
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 will not require a break-in period as the barrel of the bat is alloy, therefore it will be game ready out of the box. We do recommend that bats with composite barrels hit between 100-150 balls before they are "game ready."
Tyler
Which bat feels lighter the BBCOR Quatro or the BBCOR VELO? Same size/weight. CoachKimo
Most players feel as though the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is the lightest swinging BBCOR bat out there, so I would say it feels lighter than the 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3.
Logan
What makes this bat a hybrid? Is it just the composite endcap? Is the bat 100% one piece alloy barrel and handle? enth12
Yes, the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is a one piece aluminum bat, the reason it is listed as a hybrid is due to the composite end cap.
Carter
Would you recommend this VELO over the Marucci Cat 7 for a contact hitter? Dylan
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is going to provide you with a composite end cap, built to enhance the swing control of the bat. This feature will certainly help benefit contact hitters. Now to say it is or is not better than the Cat7, this really does come down to preference in what it is you are looking for in a bat.
Tyler
Is this model different than the 2017 Velo? Murphy
The 2018 Velo will be very similar to the 2017 Velo. The only differences are cosmetic and the 2018 Velo has Rawlings's Tru-View technology to reveal the 100% aluminum alloy composition.
Kyle J.
What's the difference between the VELO and the newest Quatro? hags
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is a one-piece alloy model with a balanced swing weight while the Quatro is a two-piece all composite bat with a balanced swing weight. The Quatro will offer better vibration reduction from off-centered hits and have slightly better performance in warmer weather while the VELO holds up better in colder weather and will be stiffer on impact.
Cameron
I am in the market to purchase a new Rawlings. I wanted to know which bat is more balanced, the Velo or Quatro? Big Jacky D
Both bats will be considered a balanced bat, but I might lean ever so slightly towards the Rawlings VELO, as it had a good track record of being one of the most balanced, light swinging bats the last few years.
Kyle J.
If the color of the bat is the only difference between the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR bat and the 2016 Rawlings VELO BBCOR bat then should I just get 2016 bat? Danny Baseball
Assuming you can find the Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BBRV3 in-stock in the length you are seeking then we would certainly recommend considering that route and saving funds over the price point on the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3. These bats are very comparable and should some similar performance capabilities.
Cameron
Can you tell me when 2019 Velo will be released to buy? vickie webb
The 2019 edition of this 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8V3) will not be available for purchase until summer or fall of 2018.
Ben
Going into my third year JV and need a new bat. I am debating between a LS Solo 618, the 2018 Velo, or Easton Beast X Speed. Which bat would be best for me. I bat in the middle of the lineup and am mainly a contact hitter. Logan Johnson
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3, 2018 Louisville Slugger Solo 618 BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS618B3, and the 2018 Easton Beast X Speed BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB18BXS are all very similar bats. All of these bats feature one-piece, all alloy construction with balanced swing weights. If you've had success with one of these brands in the past, I recommend staying with that brand.
Dan
Need to buy a BBCOR -3 for my 13 year old. How does the 2018 Velo compare to the 2018 Easton Beast X Speed? Does either have a larger sweet spot or more pop? Also are the materials used in the 2017 and 2018 Velo the same? Same alloy used in the handle/barrel and same composite on the end cap? Is the only difference the color and artwork design? Is the weight distribution the same in the BB7V and BB8V3? Rich
The 2018 Rawlings VELO compares very similarly to the 2018 Easton Beast X Speed in that they are both very well balanced, one-piece alloy bats designed to emphasize bat speed. I don't think either one have a significant advantage other the other in terms of pop or sweet spot size. As for the 2017 Rawlings Velo vs the 2018 Rawlings VELO, they are very similar in construction, yes, and are still made of the same alloy. If you can find the 2017 model in the size you want, I would probably recommend that over the 2018 just to save some extra money.
Kyle J.
I need a new bbcor bat for this season. I am looking at either the velo or the combat maxum. I am 5'7 125 lbs. What length do you recommend? What are the differences in the velo and maxum? shieldz
Given your specifications, I would recommend that you swing a 31" 28oz bat. The main difference between this 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 and the Combat Maxum will be the material used in construction. The Velo utilizes a one-piece alloy construction to provide a stiffer and louder result on contact. The Maxum is a one-piece composite bat that will need a slight break-in period but should reduce vibrations felt on contact. Any recommendation will be determined by preference in material.
Tyler
What is different with this model and the 2017 Rawlings Velo BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB7V other than graphics? Ddaddy
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is the same as far as technology and performance to the 2017 model. The only difference is the color scheme.
Tori
What is the difference between this and the 2017 version? christunas37
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is the same as far as technology and performance to the 2017 model. The only difference is the color scheme.
Carter
What"s the difference between the 2018 VELO and the 2016 5150 (with the composite end cap)? Wilson
The differences between the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 and any Rawlings 5150 BBCOR bat would be the alloy used and the end cap design. The VELO models will always feature the acoustic alloy with a composite end cap. This creates a more balanced swing weight feel compared to the 5150 alloy and plastic end cap that is utilized on the 5150 models.

The "true" composite bats require break in, and it seems they lose pop over an extended period of time. My son claims his old Mako is dead. Assuming that's true, would a one-piece material like the Velo have a longer life? Joe
It is tough to say that the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 would have a longer performance life than a composite bat. With that said, we do not hear many complaints with regards to the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3.

Does Rawlings plan on releasing a 2019 version of this bat ? scotty
Although we do not know what models Rawlings will be releasing we would anticipate that something similar will be replacing the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3.
Cameron
Does the 2018 velo have as big a sweet spot and just as much pop as any other BBCOR bat out there? Danny
Determining the size of a "sweet spot" is an impossible task. The total barrel length on the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 won't be quite as large as some of the longest on the market, but there will not be another BBCOR bat out there that will perform higher than this VELO.
Tyler
Compared to Louisville 618 Solo? peter w
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 and the Louisville Slugger Solo 618 will be very similar because of the fact that both are one piece alloy construction and will be two of the most balanced bats in the 2018 lineup.

My son is a Freshman in HS and is 5'10". We are trying to determine if he should go with a 32" 29 Velo or a 31"28 Velo? Which would you suggest and can it be returned if it doesn't feel right to him? Marc
With the size specs you listed for the player, we would suggest the 32" option of the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 for your player. Unused bats are available for a full return. However, if the bat hits a baseball it becomes a used bat at which point we could not accept it back.

Looking for a new BBCOR this year. My son is in the 10th grade, and 6 feet 155-160 pounds. We are looking at Velo's and I can't decide between the 2018 or 2019. Lots of good reviews about 2018. And would you put the Velo up against any BBCOR bat? Travis Fettes
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 would be a great option for your son because of the lightweight feel and acoustic alloy creates a loud ping making it one of the more popular bats every year. I would put the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 as one of the top BBCOR models in general. Each year the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 performs at the top of the BBCOR models.
Max
I am considering this bat or the rawlings 2018 quatro. What is the difference? jay
The difference will be in the constructions of each bat. The Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is a one-piece alloy bat with a composite end cap while the Quatro is a multi-piece composite bat. The Velo will be stiffer on contact but may provide more in the power department as a result.
Tyler
i'm 6 foot 180 pounds, what size should I swing? angel Rosa
At 6', 180lbs we would recommend purchasing a Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 in the 33" length!
Dani
How thick is the grip tape? Joseph
The Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 will have a 1 mm grip on the handle of the bat. The 1 mm thickness is widely used for most BBCOR models.
Max
I have been swinging an Exogrid 3 and like it but getting time for a new one how does this compare? Morgan
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 will be fairly similar to the Exogrid 3 in its feel and design. It has a composite handle an alloy barrel which like the design of the Exogrid and will be very balanced as well.

My son is 15, 6' and 195. Getting a new bat, a Rawlings VELO. 32 or 33? He has a 32. Should he go up? MICHAEL
Per your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 in a 33 inch model.
Cameron
My son is 13 years old (5'6" and 130 lbs). He is a good hitter, but could use some "pop". Should he hit a 31"? Which bat would be better for him: the Rawlings VELO or the Easton Ghost? Ryan
Given your player's specification, I would suggest a 31" model. As for the difference between the Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 and that Easton Ghost it will come down to material preference. The Velo will offer an alloy, one-piece construction for a stiffer feel on contact and will not require any break-in period. The Ghost is a multi-piece composite bat that will nullify more vibrations but will require a break-in period. Generally speaking, power hitter lean towards alloy and contact hitters gravitate towards composite.
Tyler
Is this bat more for power hitters or contact hitters? blake
This bat has a well balanced design that is generally preferred by contact hitters, but can easily work for both.
Kyle
What is the break in period for the 2018 Rawlings Velo Bat? Is there one, before game use? John Drury
There is no break in period for the 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 because it has an alloy barrel.
Tori
Could you please compare / differentiate the Rawlings VELO BBCOR vs. Marucci Cat8 BBCOR? My 13yr old likes them both but has to decide on one, and would appreciate detailed feedback. Thank you KBA SD
The 2018 Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is fairly comparable to the Marucci CAT 8 as far as overall feel and performance. The biggest difference will be that the VELO has a composite handle which can help cut down on vibration and make it feel just slightly lighter.
Tori
What is the difference between the BB8V3 and the BBRV3? Anthony Payne
Overall, this Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8V3) and the VELO (BBRV3) are the same bat with the only exception being the cosmetic look.
Ben
Can you use this for Juniors in Little League? Cecilia Rios
Yes, Little League Juniors (12-14 year olds) allow BBCOR certified bats. The Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 would be allowed in play.

I am 5'4", 145 lbs and a contact hitter. Which of these bats would you recommend me using? The Rawlings 2018 VELO or the 2019 Louisville Slugger Select? Allie F
Per your height and weight, we would recommend getting a 31 inch bat. The Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 is going to be a more balanced bat when compared to the LS Select but it does not offer as much vibration control from an off-centered hit. Both bats could work well for you but it would come down to what you value more (balanced swing weight or vibration reduction).
Cameron
Would you prefer this bat or the Victus Vandal? Gavin Rolling
Both bats would be an excellent choice if you are looking for a well balanced, one-piece alloy bat. The VELO has been a solid, well performing model for several years now, while the Vandal is also a very high performing bat made of very high grade alloy material.
Kyle
How does this compare to the Easton Speed BBCOR bat? Luke b
Although both the Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 and Easton Speed are one-piece alloy bats with balanced swing weights, the VELO will be more balanced as the result of the alloy material used and the composite end cap.
Cameron
What is the handle diameter on this bat? Keith
We do not know for certain the handle diameter on the Rawlings VELO BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8V3 but most are around 29/32".

About the Brand

Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.

The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.

In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.

In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.

The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.

Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
