Description

New for the season! The 'Glowstick' from Rawlings is back and bright as ever. The Quatro baseball bat made such an impact during its debut season that Rawlings has decided to bring it back for a second go around. They've pushed the standards of baseball bats to new levels and bat technology to never before seen performance levels that outshine the competition (pun intended). Performance, flex, balance, and ball flight are just a few of the features that the Rawlings Quatro is sure to enhance during each and every at-bat. If you're a contact hitter who can handle a longer barrel, the Quatro is a perfect fit for you. While it does have an extended barrel construction for more plate coverage, a newly designed lightweight end cap reduces unnecessary weight towards the end of the barrel which helps increase overall swing speed and control through the zone. On top of that, the patented hinge system delivers focused flex, which helps hitters swing through the ball and generate unbelievable pop. Yet again, Rawlings is peeling back the curtains, so to speak, and displaying the carbon fiber composite barrel insides through the Tru-View Technology. Between the composite barrel and handle is Rawlings' Vibration Dampening Technology (VDT), also known as the 'Quatro Collar,' which is a silicone-infused collar that eliminates sting in the hands and provides an incredibly smooth feel at impact. The best part? Each one of these Rawlings Quatro baseball bats are made with pride in the USA (patent pending). Rawlings: Above The Standard!

This Rawlings Quatro Senior League Baseball Bat (UT8Q34) features a huge 2 3/4-inch barrel diameter, a drop 10 length to weight ratio, and the USSSA 1.15 BPF certified stamp located on the taper. With a fluorescent yellow and black design, this model is sure to turn heads. Get ready to increase your batting average and order one of these Rawlings baseball bats today with free shipping and a full twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty period! Remember, we're here for you from click to hit!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Rawlings Quatro -10 USSSA Senior League Baseball Bat: UT8Q34? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How does the 2018 model compare to the 2017 model? Jayreb
The biggest difference between this 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (UT8Q34) and the 2017 Rawlings Quatro Senior League Baseball Bat (SL7Q10) will be the new Lightweight End Cap to reduce swing weight on this 2018 bat and the updated cosmetic look to the bat.
Ben
Are the new 2018 USA BAT stamps on these new models? concerned parent
This 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (UT8Q34) is not USABat certified. However, there will be a Quatro released in September with a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, -10 length-to-weight ratio and USABat certification.
Ben
Why is this bat $100 more than the same size Velo? I've been told from justbats already that composite has no more durability than aluminum. Is there better performance from composite? Don
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: UT8Q34 is a composite bat can cost more to produce than that of an alloy bat.
Max
What is the actual weight of this bat? I have seen that the Louisville Slugger weighs in about 0.5 to 1.5 oz over marketed weight. Also, how does it compare the Louisville Slugger 918? Which is a better choice for a thin 9u player who is a contact hitter that prefers a really balanced bat? Baseball Dad
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: UT8Q34 will come in about 1.3 ounces heavier than the listed weight. This bat is similar to the LS Prime 918 as both bats are all composite with balanced swing weights. Both bats would be great options to consider for a 9U player who is on the thinner side. It really comes down to brand preference.
Cameron
I have a 10 year old 60 lbs what size will he need and can we use this bat in USSSA? phil
I would recommend getting the 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: UT8Q34 in a 29 inch or 30 inch bat length depending on the height of your player. If he is 4' 9" to 5' 6", I would consider going with the 30 inch bat.
Dan
Is this bat a USA bat or USSSA? We play on a travel-only team so we don't want a USA bat. jesse
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (UT8Q34) has a barrel diameter of 2 3/4" and has a USSSA 1.15 stamp. This bat would be good for your player on a travel team.
Taylor
I have a 12U Majors player. Pitchers get the ball up to 70+mph. Will this drop 10 take a full season or more or do I need to move him down to a drop 8? Wy24
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat: UT8Q34 is a very common size for a 12U player. If you feel that your son can handle a -8 option he could absolutely use that as well.
Carter
My son is 8 years old and 4'2" tall. He is a gap hitter and does well in the 1 or 2 hole. What length would you recommend? TNRHINO
Based on his age, we would recommend a 28" bat. This 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 Senior League Baseball Bat (UT8Q34) is available in a 28" length and I would recommend the bat very highly if he can handle the 18 oz weight effectively.

About the Brand

Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.

The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.

In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.

In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.

The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.

Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
