Not So-Good Vibrations Brian Berry Parent

Pros: Has a very good feel in your hands.

Cons: My daughter frequently complains about the vibrations and the stinging pain in her hands. Bat just doesn't have the same pop as other bats. She won't use the bat after one-half a season.

What is recommended for high school seniors? Deb
The 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH would not work well for a high school senior. This bat would be better suited for a player 10 and younger. For a high school senior we would recommend looking into the 2016 Mizuno Silhouette -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: MZFP160SL or 2018 Mizuno Ghost -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18GHST10.
Cameron
My player is 4'6" and 54 lbs. I have a 10 year old who uses a 30" bat, but it's slightly too heavy for her and her small frame. Which size would be best for her? Mrsmacs
Based upon your player's height and weight, I would make a general recommendation of going with a 28" length fastpitch softball bat. As long as she can handle the 15 oz weight of the 28" length option of this 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat (FP18FINCH), I would recommend this bat in that size.
Ben
Can you suggest a bat for an 8 year old that has been playing for 2 years, she is 3 ft. 8 inches tall about 65 lbs? april
Based on what you have told us about the player we would recommend the 27"/14 ounce 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH.
Carter
My daughter is 9 years old (will be 10 in June) and she weighs 97 pounds and is 5 "1/2' tall. I was planning to get her the 31' bat? Am I on the right track? Is this bat certified for a 10 and under Little League team? softball mom
Based on your daughters height and weight we would recommend either a 31" or 32" 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH for her. Whether this bat is legal in your specific league depends on what rules they follow. It is certified in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, & ISF.
Carter
My daughter is 50" tall and 57 lbs. What size bat is good for her? lavila1209
We would suggest a 27"-28" length for someone her size.
Kyle J.
Looking for a good alloy bat for colder weather for a 13 year old, 65 inches and 130 lbs. Already has a DeMarini composite bat. Holly Markus
The 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH features an alloy barrel and is a good model for colder weather. For a player that is 13 years of age this bat would not make a great fit as it features a -13 length to weight ratio. For a player that is 13, one would want to use either a -11 or -10 model bat. Unfortunately, within the Mizuno lineup we do not currently have any bats that will feature an alloy barrel in either of these length to weight ratios.
Cameron
My daughter is 49.5" tall and weighs 53 lbs. What length and ounce bat would you recommend for girls fastpitch? She is 7 years old (be 8 in June). She currently has a 28" / 15 oz bat but it seems a bit hard to get around. Travis
Based on your player's height and weight, I would recommend purchasing this 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH in the 27"/14 oz size. I think she will be more comfortable with that size this season then as she grows, she could use her older 28"/15 oz bat.
Taylor
Would this be a good bat for my daughter she is 17? She plays high school softball. kim
I would not recommend the 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH for a high school player as the weight of the bat will cause major durability issues at that level of softball. Your player would be better off with something along the lines of the 2018 Mizuno Silhouette -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18SHT10.
Tyler
My daughter (playing in Maine) is 12 about 5' and 85 lbs. She will be playing LL Majors and her first year in Jr. High Ball. Might the 31" be a good fit for her in our cold climate? Dadio
Yes, the 2018 Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH in a 31'' would be a good fit for her based on her height and weight.
Tori
Hi would this bat be good for a 12 year old about 5 foot 3 and 110lbs? I was thinking 32 in. Ava
This bat is probably a bit too light for a 12 year old and the velocities she will be facing. Generally -10 to -12 will be the recommended drop for a 12 year old. This bat could work for you, but using such a light model can increase the chance of durability concerns.
Kyle J.
Does this bat need to be broken it? Karah
The Mizuno Jennie Finch -13 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP18FINCH will not require a break in and will be hot out of the wrapper.
