This bat has more pop and huge sweet spot. SteveSTL parent
Pros: Could they improve the 2016 LXT Plus? Yep, this bat has the most pop and it is balanced so well. Let's not forget it's hott right out of the wrapper with a larger sweet spot. My dauthers game has improved with the Lxt Plus and the new Hyper made it even better.
Cons: Would like to see a better grip tape but that's an easy change.
2017 LXT Jay parent
Pros: -Balanced well so the swing speed unbelievable -The new 3 piece connection piece adds comfort for those inside pitches -HUGE SWEET SPOT!!! -The ball bonces off of this bat
Cons: The GRIP!!!!

Softball Player Makena B player
Pros: Received this bat as a replacement bat for another LXT that was broken.
Cons: I do not like the color of the bat. Has less pop then the ones made in years past.
This bat is the real deal John player
Pros: Got this bat for my daughter who plays 12U two weeks ago. This last weekend she was hitting bombs with it. She loves it.
Cons: None
Awesome Bat Jason parent
Pros: A friend of mine bought this bat for his daughter a few months ago and I am buying one for my daughter now. I couldn't believe the difference it made in her power and my daughter used a few times and the same thing happened. Highly recommend this bat!!!!!
Cons: None
Buy this bat Coach Ryan coach
Pros: This bat is truly HOT out of the wrapper. After about the 5th pitch of bp the balls were leaving the bat with authority. Both of my daughters were driving pitch after pitch to the fence. We have eastons, and demarinis, and are great bats, but there is somthing different about this lxt. The feel, the sound, and the evidence of a well hit ball. This bat has added about 10-15 ft to both my daughters swings. And its only had about 200 balls off it. We have found our new favorite. I also like how the barrel is rough.
Cons: Price. But you get what you pay for. The grip could be way better, 1st thing we do is put a lizzard skin on. Were hoping it lasts as long as our easton mako, thats had probably 4,000 hacks and still pops. That would make us happy. If your going to spend the money then do yourself a favor and get this
DONT BELEAVE THE HYPE Brian M parent
Pros: Don't have any
Cons: not impressed by this bat was expecting a bat hot out of the wrapper and still waiting a year later. My daughter uses a Easton FS200 for BP and gets more distance and says the bat has a way better feel . Not something you expect to hear from your ten year old.
Great Bat Mark Pope coach
Pros: I bought this bat for my 10U team and it is the Truth. Only reason I did not give it a 5 on Durability is we have only used it for about a week.
Cons: none right now!!

l bought a 2017 LXT Hyper Softball Bat. Why does it say made in China? I had the 2015 LXT and it didn't say that. ambersoftball
Looking at either the LXT Hyper or Xeno Plus (32" -11) for 12 year old daughter. She is great at making contact but lacks power (hope improving bat speed will help). Is the LXT worth the extra investment? Many comments about durability in 2016 LXT. See improvement in 2017? John
My daughter has 2016 Xeno LXT 32 -10 drop, end loaded. Now she has paint chips all over. Time for a new one, can't decide what size bat to move up to. Thinking 33 -11 0r -10, she is a power hitter and strong athlete at 5'3" tall and at 150#'s. Jay
We are changing from a CF9 to something different because we have shattered 2 in a year. How does LXT compare? rebelmike2010
How will the Louisville Slugger Proven differ from the LXT bats? JRudloff

Our daughter is playing U10 softball and U10 All Stars. We are considering this bat for her. She is small for her age and we are wondering if the 28/17 would be a good fit for her? She is about 4'2" and only about 51 lbs. She is currently using a DeMarini Bustos 29/16 LD
My daughter is 12 and I bought the LXT hyper and it feels like the bat flexes when she hits the ball, is it suppose to do that? lvemykds
My daughter is playing 12U. I bought LXT Hyper and it feels like the bat flexes when she hits the ball. Is it suppose to do that? lvemykds
I see that this bat says "zero break in," is that true? John
Even though it says no break in required, I understand it is still suggested. Would your recommend a normal break in of 100 half speed hits off a tee then 50 full speed off a tee, all with 1/4 turns between hits? john
Junior High School player and she's 5' 9" about 150 using an old Louisville bat 32" -11. Looking for upgrade prep for college. Fast hand speed. bob
My daughter plays 14u and has been swinging an Easton FS3 31/19. She has had this bat for the last two years and swings it extremely well. I would like to upgrade her to the Louisville LXT Hyper, what size would you recommend? She is 5'4" about 130 lbs and has very fast bat speed with that lighter bat. grabber6
What drop would be the best for 5'2" 100lb 13yr old girl? Jaelyn
About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
