The Easton S2 is the definition of innovative and high performing. By forging it from their HMX (Hyperlite Matrix) alloy, the team at Easton has given hitters an expanded sweet spot, long lasting durability, and one of the most responsive hitting surfaces possible. Throw in Easton's patented ConneXion Technology that has revolutionized the two-piece game and you have not only one of the most forgiving bats out there; but also one of the most powerful! The ConneXion Technology maximizes energy transfer for an optimized feel during each at bat. Plus, it separates the alloy barrel from the extremely tough SIC black carbon composite handle essentially eliminating all negative vibration in the hands. Finish it off with the fact that each 29/32 inch handle comes wrapped with the HYPERSKIN grip to improve overall comfort and you've got one of the top bats on the market. Easton: Engineered For Glory!

Great Pop out of the wrapper. Coach J coach

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17S210? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

How does the 2017 model differ from the 2016 model? Bob
This 2017 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17S210) and the 2016 Easton S2 (SL16S210) will be the same bats with the only real difference being the cosmetics on each bat.
Ben
What other hybrid Easton bats are available with 2 5/8" barrel diameter, 32" length and with a drop of better than -3? (around 22 oz) This is for my older son who will starting Babe Ruth league in central NJ at age 13 in Spring '17. George
Unfortunately the 2017 Easton S2 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17S210) is going to be the only Easton hybrid bat that is available in the 22 ounces that you are looking for along with the 2 5/8" barrel. If you were opened up to not getting a hybrid and getting both pieces composite I would recommend checking out the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17MK10).

My son is 12U and he hit a few home runs last season with his Easton S2. There are kids on his team that are bigger and stronger that crush it with the S3. One fanatical dad won't consider any other bat but the S3. Just curious if the S2 is worth the extra money? What are the main differences between the two bats? Robbie
Both bats are very similar. The main difference is the the 2017 Easton S2 is a two-piece, hybrid design with a composite handle and alloy barrel, while the 2017 Easton S3 is a one-piece, all alloy bat. This means the S3 has a stiffer feel to it, typically favored by power hitters, and the S2 will have a bit more flex and vibration dampening technology to it, typically favored by contact hitters.

What do kids do with these bats in a year when their leagues disallow them due to the 2018 USA Baseball standards? Will Easton have some sort of prorated buyback program? dan
As far as I'm aware, Easton will not have a buyback program. USSSA rules are not changing, so I would guess that most players would hang on to the bats for use in those such tournaments if they play in those. If you only play Little League, then yes, these bats will no longer be able to be used come Jan 1, 2018.

Cameron
