Description

New for The latest and greatest members of the Power Brigade are here and ready to be unleashed.

The Easton MAKO BEAST is the newest version of one of the most popular baseball bats in the industry and it now has the biggest and most powerful composite barrel that Easton has ever made. By extending and combining the game's longest two-piece composite barrel with the game's fastest swing speed, this bat is an absolute BEAST that offers the lowest swing weight index out of the entire Easton lineup. A low swing weight index results in an evenly balanced model that delivers power through fast swing speeds. Easton's redesigned TCT Thermo Composite technology now provides an extended speed barrel design. So, the BEAST's barrel is longer than ever for more plate coverage and a huge sweet spot. This extended barrel is connected to 29/32 inch composite handle by the patented two-piece ConneXion technology that maximizes energy transfer while eliminating sting for optimized feel and comfort. Adding to the comfort is the fact that each MAKO BEAST comes wrapped with the formidable HYPERSKIN grip. Easton: Unleash The Beast!

This Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 features a -10 length to weight ratio, a 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter, and the USSSA 1.15 BPF Certification. Be the talk of the town and buy your own MAKO BEAST with a bigger, badder barrel today with free shipping!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

My son is 11 years old and 75 pounds. Is he ready for a 30/20 or 29/19? He is 5 foot tall. A MORALEZ
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 30" 20 oz option in the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10.
Jason
Does this bat have the new USA Baseball stamp on it? brad
The 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 has the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp. It does not feature the USA Baseball certification as those regulations will not be in effect until 1/1/2018.
Angelique
If I purchase this bat, will it be allowed for use in 2018 after the USA Bat Stamp is required within certain leagues? player
This 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17MK10) will not feature the USA Bat certification on it. Because it is lacking that certification, this bat will not be allowed for use within the leagues requiring the USA Bat stamp for use after the 2018 year begins (however, bats featuring the USA Bat stamp will be available for purchase in the fall of 2017 in preparation for the 2018 season).
Ben
Do these new 2017 Easton Mako Beast bats actually weigh close to their labeled weight, or are they consistently 2 to 3 ounces more than what is listed like past models? RJ's dad
The 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST has a lower MOI that yields a lighter swing weight than previous MAKO models. They won't weigh exactly what is listed, as most bats never do, but they will be closer than older models. This particular model weighs about one ounce more than what is stated, so it will be significantly lighter than in the past.
Angelique
Is this bat BBCOR certified? Cameron E Jaeger
This 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17MK10) will not feature BBCOR .50 certification.
Ben
My son is 9 years old, 70 pounds, and 4'6 1/2". What would an appropriate size bat be? KG
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 29" model in the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10.
Jason
How does this barrel length compare to the Combat Maxum -10? kaukris1
This 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17MK10) will feature a pretty lengthy barrel to it and if you were to compare the barrel length on it to a similar MAXUM (2 5/8", -10), I think the MAXUM may have a slight advantage in the barrel length, but it should not be too significant overall.
Ben
My son is 5'3" 100 lbs and 11 years old. I want to get him a big barrel. What size would you recommend? bill
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10.
Jason
My son is 4'8" and 85 lbs. I am looking at the MAKO Beast and the DeMarini Zen bats. Which is going to have the lower swing weight and which size should be best for him? Erik
Based on your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting a 29 inch 19 ounce bat. As for the swing weight feel of each of these bats, the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 will come in 1.5 ounces heavier than listed weight while the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Senior League Baseball Bat: DXCBX will come in 1 ounce heavier than listed weight.
Cameron
My son is 4'8" and 90 pounds, 7 years. Which size is better for him? JORGE LACHER
We would recommend a 29-30" bat for your son. This would mean a 29"/19oz or 30"/20oz for the 2017 Easton MAKO Beast Senior League (SL17MK10).
Kyle J.
I am 4'10", 83 pounds and 10 years old. I am kind of strong for my age. What size bat will you recommend? baseball kid
Based on your height and weight, we suggest a 30" model in the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10.
Jason
No reviews on 2017 MAKO BEAST yet? My son is about 4'8" and was wondering the following: size of bat you would recommend between the MAKO BEAST 2017 2 5/8" or DeMarini 2017 2 5/8"? Why? Which bat has better pop? Is this a BBCOR or composite bat? Is it true BBCOR has less pop then composite? trying to find best bat
We have not received any reviews of the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 and this is not surprising. Typically, it take 4-6 months after a bat is released to get a good understanding of it performance and durability and for reviews to begin trickling in. As for the proper size to get someone who is 4'8" one would also need to know the weight of the player to get a better understanding of the player's physical strength; probably looking at 29 or 30 inch model. The 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 would not be a BBCOR bat as all BBCOR bats will feature a drop -3 length to weight ratio. This bat would be composite though as it will have a two-piece fully composite construction with a balanced swing weight. Trying to compare the DeMarini CF Zen to the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 would show that the Zen will be slightly more balanced and, as for the pop of the bats, have similar performance capabilities. BBCOR bats are made with both composite and alloy barrels and they will feature less pop across the board due to the thicker barrel walls; these bats are very similar to wood bats in terms of pop.
Cameron
My son is 12 and 5'6" tall, 105 lbs. What length do you recommend for his size? Greg
Based on his height and weight, we suggest a 31" model in the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10.
Jason
What is the biggest performance difference between the MAKO Beast 2-piece bat and the Mako Beast Hyperlite 1-piece bat? I understand the difference in construction, but how does it affect hitting and feel? Greg Renas
Two piece bats will have more flex during the swing and typically have a bit better vibration dampening, and overall have a swing that is preferred by contact hitters. One piece bats will be stiffer during the swing, and that is typically preferred by power hitters, as the stiffness can help prevent any power loss during the swing.
Kyle J.
My son is 10 years old and he is 70 lbs. Is the MAKO BEAST 2 5/8 or the DeMarini Voodoo better for him? And what size would you recommend? colin
We would need to know his height to make an accurate recommendation but based on what we have heard from you I would recommend a 29"/19 ounce or a 30"/20 ounce 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17MK10).
Carter
My son is 13 years old at about 100 lbs. Going to play local Babe Ruth 13-15 league. Not sure if this bat will pass the bat rules for this league. I believe if its full composite it must be BBCOR. If this bat will not pass the rules what bat would you recommend? Robert
Yes, in Babe Ruth 13-15 composite bats much be BBCOR so you cannot use the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17MK10). I would recommend using the 2017 Easton S3 Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17S310) as it is aluminum and will be legal in your league.
Carter
My son is 9 years old and right at 5' and weighs 81 pounds. What size would you recommend? Leann
Based on your player's height and weight, I would suggest the 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 in a 30" 20 ounce size.
Logan
Can you tell me if this bat is legal for Babe Ruth League rules? John
Since this 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat (SL17MK10) will feature a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, composite barrel material and USSSA 1.15 BPF certification, it will not be permitted for use in any divisions of Babe Ruth baseball.
Ben
Will this pass for the 2018 new rules? CV
At this time none of the bats will pass the USA bat standard, the bats that will be legal for the leagues that require the USA stamp will be released on September 1st.
Sean
Is this bat legal for Little League? The rock
The 2017 Easton MAKO BEAST Senior League Baseball Bat: SL17MK10 will not be legal in Little League in 2018 since every bat will need to have the USABat stamp.
